Republic Day 2024 is around the corner. There are only a few days left before the celebration of the 75th Republic Day in India. On this day, various cultural events, and speech competitions are organized in schools and colleges all over India.
We have curated Republic Day speech in English and Hindi with short and long speeches.
Below is the Republic Day speech in English for school and college students.
Honorable Principal Sir, respected brothers and sisters, and my dear friends. As we all know today is the 75th Republic Day of India. My Name is [Harsh Kumar] and on this prestigious day, I have got a chance to deliver my Republic Day speech in front of you all.
As we know the Indian constitution was adhered to on 26 Jan 1950 with a certain set of rules and regulations. Today we have gathered here to celebrate the victory of Republic Day and in the memory of great men like Rajendra Prasad, Subhash Chandra Bosh, and Mahatma Gandhi.
The Constitution of India is the longest-written constitution in the world. The time duration taken to draft the Indian constitution was 2 years, 11 months, and 11 days. It was drafted by Dr. B.R. Ambedkar to establish the structure, procedures, powers, and duties of government institutions, and set out fundamental rights, directive principles, and the duties of citizens.
Republic Day is a celebration of our unity in diversity. India has different cultures, languages, religions, and traditions. Our tricolor flag symbolizes this unity – the saffron color signifies strength and courage, the white middle band indicates peace and truth with the Dharma Chakra, and the green shows the fertility, growth, and auspiciousness of our land.
As we celebrate this day, let us also acknowledge the progress India has made over the years. Our advancements in technology, medicine, science, and space exploration have put us on the world map.
However, our journey is not without challenges. We are a nation at a crossroads, grappling with issues of poverty, inequality, environmental degradation, and social injustice. These challenges call for collective action, innovation, and a commitment to the principles of our Constitution.
On this day, let us also remember and pay tribute to our brave soldiers who guard our borders and ensure our safety, and to the countless freedom fighters whose sacrifices led to the birth of this Republic. Their courage and love for the motherland continue to inspire us.
Currently, we need to fulfill the dream of Mahatma Gandhi to make India a developed country and we youth can decide what India will be next 5 years.
As we know on Republic Day, The President of France, Emmanuel Macron, has been invited to attend India’s Republic Day celebrations. We have started achieving new heights again. From Chandrayaan 2 to the IT sector, India made significant growth.
At last, I want to thank all of our soldiers and the brave people who are helping India to rapidly achieve new heights in development.
That’s all. Thank you!

Today, we are gathered to celebrate a very special day in our country’s history – Republic Day. On this day, January 26th, back in 1950, our country India became a Republic. But what does that mean? It means that on this day, we have our very own Constitution, which is like a big rule book that guides how our country should be run.
The Constitution is a very important document because it gives us our rights as citizens of India. It tells us that no matter what our religion, race, or language is, we are all equal. This is a day to remember how far we have come as a nation and to honor the people who fought for our freedom and made this day possible.
“Freedom in our mind, faith in our words, Pride in our hearts, memories in our souls. Let’s salute the nation on Republic Day, For the glory of India, forever shall stay.”
On Republic Day, we see big parades in New Delhi, our capital city. These parades show the strength of our armed forces and the rich culture of our country. We see soldiers marching, tanks rolling, and even fighter jets flying in the sky. It’s a day of pride for all Indians.
But Republic Day is not just about parades and celebrations. It’s a day to think about our duties as citizens of this great country. We should remember to always respect each other, keep our surroundings clean, and study hard to make our country proud.
So, let’s celebrate this day with a lot of joy and pride. Let’s promise to be good citizens and work hard to make our country even better.
Happy Republic Day to all of you!

Happy Republic Day to everyone!
Respected Principal sir, esteemed faculty members, and my dear colleagues,
Today, as we gather to celebrate the 75th Republic Day of our great nation, I am filled with a deep sense of pride and patriotism. On this day, back in 1950, India adopted its Constitution, embarking on a remarkable journey as a sovereign, democratic republic.
The Constitution of India, the longest written constitution in the world, is not just a document but the soul of our nation. It embodies the hopes and aspirations of billions of Indians and serves as a guiding light for our democratic values and principles.
Drafted by the Constituent Assembly with Dr. B.R. Ambedkar as the Chairman of the Drafting Committee, it laid down the framework defining fundamental political principles, established the structure, procedures, powers, and duties of government institutions, and set out fundamental rights, directive principles, and the duties of citizens.
“In the land of diversity, where dreams take flight, On this Republic Day, let’s shine so bright. With freedom in our hearts, and faith in our might, Pride in our unity, we stand for what’s right.”
Republic Day is a celebration of our unity in diversity. India, a land of myriad cultures, languages, religions, and traditions, stands as a testament to the idea that unity can thrive amidst diversity.
From a nascent nation struggling with the challenges of post-colonial development, India has emerged as a global player in various fields. Our advancements in technology, medicine, science, and space exploration have put us on the world map. Our economy, one of the fastest-growing in the world, continues to show resilience and potential.
Looking ahead, the youth of our nation hold the key to our future. With one of the largest young populations in the world, India’s hope lies in empowering these young minds with education, opportunities, and the right values. We must strive to build an India where every child has access to quality education, every citizen has the opportunity to thrive, and where inclusivity, sustainability, and innovation are the cornerstones of our development.
As we celebrate Republic Day, let’s renew our commitment to our nation – to uphold the values enshrined in our Constitution, to work towards an inclusive and progressive India, and to fulfill the dreams of our founding fathers. Let us pledge to contribute in our ways to the nation’s growth and prosperity.
Just remember and practice this speech on Republic Day and We wish Happy Republic Day 2024 in advance.
