My Favorite Movie Essay

The movie that I like the most is “Taarezameen per”. It is my favorite movie and I have seen it so many times. There are no bold scenes in this movie and people of every age can watch it. This is my favorite movie because the story is very touching. This movie is both entertaining and educational. All the characters have acted so well in this movie.

It is an emotional movie which always keeps me glued to the screen. It tells about the story of a boy who suffers from dyslexia due to which he is unable to identify speech sounds and how they relate to letters. Because of this disorder, he cannot excel in any activity.

He finds all the subjects difficult to study. Even with this disorder, he is very good at painting. However, he gets expelled from school because of his poor performance.

All the teachers tell his parents that their boy is not normal and he should be sent to school which is especially made for special children like him. Later, his parents send him to boarding school. There he sinks into a state of nervousness and fear because of new environment. Fortunately, he finds an art teacher there who is very supportive and caring.

His teacher realizes that it is not ishaan’s fault to get bad grades but a disorder which makes it difficult for him to focus. He visits ishaan’s home and gets surprised to see his drawings.

He also gets to know that ishaan’s dad does not understand him and often shouts at him for not getting good grades. Because of this, ishaan no longer paints and suffers from anxiety.

He gets motivated to improve ishaan’s writing and reading by using techniques developed by dyslexia specialists. These techniques help ishaan to score good grades in school. In the end, he also wins a painting competition because of his striking creative style.

I like how this story is relevant in today’s society. According to me, this is a movie which gives best moral to parents, teachers and every child. It is a marvelous piece of work which shows a perfect relationship between a teacher and a student. It highlights the issue that sometimes, parents do not understand that every kid is different.

If he is not good at studies then there must be some other thing which he is good at. He might be interested in painting, acting, singing or sports. Therefore, parents should not discourage their children but help them in what they like.

I like how the director of this movie has brought out a clear message that parents should not ignore the interests of kids and they should not snatch their childhood from them by giving them burden of getting good grades or efficient performance in every field.

Essay on My Favorite Movie Harry Potter

My love for movies started when I was a kid, and ever since then, movies have been my favorite pastime. From action-packed thrillers to romantic comedies, there’s a movie genre for every mood. But if I have to pick just one movie as my all-time favorite, hands down it would be the Harry Potter series.

For those who are not familiar with the name, Harry Potter is a fictional character created by British author J.K. Rowling. The series consists of seven books and eight movies, which follows the journey of a young wizard named Harry Potter, who discovers his true identity as “The Chosen One” and battles against the dark wizard, Lord Voldemort.

I was first introduced to Harry Potter when I was in elementary school, and I still remember the excitement of reading the books for the first time. The magical world of Hogwarts, spells, potions, and flying broomsticks had me completely captivated. As a kid, I would often daydream about receiving my acceptance letter to Hogwarts and attending classes with Harry, Ron, and Hermione.

When the movies were released, I was ecstatic! It was a dream come true to see my favorite characters and their adventures brought to life on the big screen. The cast, especially Daniel Radcliffe as Harry Potter, Emma Watson as Hermione Granger, and Rupert Grint as Ron Weasley, did an incredible job of portraying their characters and staying true to the books.

One of the things I love most about the Harry Potter series is the way it tackles important themes such as love, friendship, courage, and good vs. evil. The characters face challenges and overcome them by staying true to their values and relying on each other for support. This message of unity and strength in the face of adversity resonated with me, and I believe it’s one of the reasons why the series has such a huge fan base.

Moreover, the world-building in the Harry Potter series is impeccable. J.K. Rowling’s attention to detail and ability to create a vivid and complex magical world is truly impressive. From Diagon Alley to Hogsmeade, each location has its own unique charm and adds depth to the story. The spells and magical creatures introduced in the series are also fascinating, and I love how each one has its own history and significance.

Apart from the story and characters, the music in the Harry Potter movies is another aspect that makes them stand out for me. The iconic theme song composed by John Williams never fails to give me chills, and it perfectly captures the essence of the series. The rest of the soundtrack is also beautifully crafted and adds to the overall magical atmosphere of the movies.

As I grew older, my love for the Harry Potter series only intensified. I started noticing and appreciating the deeper themes and symbolism in the story that went beyond just a tale of magic and adventure. The series also taught me valuable life lessons about courage, friendship, and standing up for what is right.

Even today, I find myself re-reading the books and re-watching the movies whenever I need a break from reality. The Harry Potter series has become a timeless classic, and I believe it will continue to capture the hearts of audiences for generations to come.

In conclusion, the Harry Potter series holds a special place in my heart as my all-time favorite movie. It’s not just about magic and adventure, but it’s a story about love, friendship, and overcoming challenges. The series has sparked my imagination and taught me valuable life lessons that I will carry with me forever. And for that, I will always be grateful to J.K. Rowling for creating such a magical world and to the cast and crew for bringing it to life on the big screen.

My Favorite Movie PK

Are you a big movie fan? Do you ever find yourself eagerly waiting for new releases, rewatching old classics, and discussing plot twists with your friends? If so, then you probably understand the feeling of having a favorite movie. For me, that movie is PK.

Released in 2014, PK is an Indian satirical comedy-drama directed by Rajkumar Hirani. The film stars Aamir Khan as the lead character, an alien who lands on earth and becomes stranded when his remote control to return home is stolen. He then embarks on a journey to retrieve it and encounters various aspects of human society, including religion, superstition, and love.

The first time I watched PK, I was blown away by its unique concept and thought-provoking message. The film uses comedy to address serious issues, making it both entertaining and meaningful. It challenges societal norms and beliefs, encouraging viewers to think critically about their own values.

One of the things I love most about PK is its ability to make me laugh while also making me reflect on larger societal issues. The character of PK himself is endearing and hilarious, with his childlike innocence and curiosity about human behaviors. Aamir Khan’s performance as PK is outstanding, bringing the character to life in a way that captures the audience’s hearts.

The film also has a stellar supporting cast, including Anushka Sharma, Sushant Singh Rajput, and Boman Irani. Each actor delivers a memorable performance, adding depth and complexity to the film’s themes. The chemistry between the characters is palpable, making their relationships feel authentic and relatable.

One of the most impactful aspects of PK is its commentary on religion. The film presents a thought-provoking argument against blind faith and superstition, showcasing how religious leaders can exploit people’s beliefs for personal gain.

It also highlights the importance of questioning and understanding one’s own beliefs rather than blindly following societal norms. This message resonated with me deeply and has stayed with me long after watching the film.

In addition to its thought-provoking themes, PK also boasts stunning cinematography and a captivating soundtrack. The music adds emotion and depth to key scenes, enhancing the overall viewing experience. The film’s settings, from the bustling streets of Mumbai to the tranquil beauty of Rajasthan, further immerse viewers into PK’s world.

But what truly makes PK my favorite movie is its ability to make me feel a range of emotions. I laughed at PK’s antics, cried during emotional moments, and felt anger towards societal injustices portrayed in the film. It takes skillful storytelling to evoke such strong emotions from the audience, and PK does it flawlessly.

PK has received both critical and commercial success, becoming one of the highest-grossing Indian films of all time. It also won several awards, including Best Film at the 60th Filmfare Awards. However, what matters most to me is its impact on society and its ability to spark important conversations.

The film’s message is timeless and relevant, making it a must-watch for people of all ages and backgrounds.

In conclusion PK is more than just a movie to me. It’s a thought-provoking masterpiece that challenges societal norms and encourages viewers to question their own beliefs. Its unique blend of comedy, drama, and social commentary makes it my favorite movie, one that I will continue to rewatch and recommend to others. If you haven’t seen PK yet, do yourself a favor and add it to your must-watch list. Who knows, it may become your favorite movie too. So, what are you waiting for? Grab some popcorn and hit play on PK – an unforgettable cinematic experience awaits!

Essay on My Favorite Movie Fast and Furious:

The Fast and Furious franchise has been a staple in the action movie genre for over two decades. With its adrenaline-fueled car chases, heart-stopping stunts, and diverse cast of characters, it’s no wonder that this series has become a favorite among fans worldwide.

My love for this franchise began when I first watched The Fast and the Furious back in 2001. From the very first race scene, I was hooked. The sound of revving engines and the sight of sleek cars racing through the streets had me on the edge of my seat. But what truly drew me in was the chemistry between characters Dominic Toretto and Brian O’Conner.

Their bromance and loyalty to each other despite their differences resonated with me. It’s not just about fast cars and action-packed scenes, but also about the bond of family and friendship that has kept this franchise going strong.

One of the most appealing aspects of the Fast and Furious series is its diverse cast. From street racers to former criminals, each character brings their own unique skills and personalities to the table. And as the franchise grew, so did the representation of different cultures and backgrounds.

The shift from street racing to heists in Fast Five not only upped the ante with thrilling action sequences but also introduced us to fan-favorite characters like Han, Tej, and Roman. Even more diversity was brought to the franchise with strong female characters like Letty, Mia, and most recently Hattie Shaw. Seeing people from all walks of life come together and form a strong bond is what makes this series stand out for me.

But it’s not just the characters that make this franchise special; it’s also the crazy stunts and over-the-top action sequences. From driving cars off cliffs to jumping between skyscrapers, each movie manages to push the limits of what we thought was possible. And the fact that most of these stunts are done practically is a testament to the dedication and hard work put in by the cast and crew.

It’s also worth mentioning how well this franchise has evolved over time. From humble beginnings as a street racing movie, it has now become a global phenomenon with spin-offs, video games, and even a live show. The Fast and Furious franchise has proven that it can adapt and continue to entertain audiences with each new installment.

While I have enjoyed all the movies in this franchise, there are a few that stand out for me. Fast Five, in particular, holds a special place in my heart. It was the first movie that fully embraced the heist aspect of the series while still maintaining its signature car chases and fight scenes. The addition of Dwayne Johnson’s character, Luke Hobbs, also added an extra layer of excitement to the movie.

Another favorite of mine is Furious 7. Not only did it have some of the most thrilling action sequences in the franchise, but it also served as a touching tribute to Paul Walker, who tragically passed away during filming. The emotional impact of his absence was felt throughout the movie, and it truly showed how much this cast had become a family both on and off-screen.

In conclusion, the Fast and Furious franchise holds a special place in my heart as my favorite movie series. Its diverse cast, heart-pumping action sequences, and themes of family and friendship make each movie a joy to watch. While the franchise may have started as a simple movie about street racing, it has now become a global phenomenon that continues to entertain audiences worldwide.

And with more movies and spin-offs in the works, I can’t wait to see what other exciting adventures this franchise has in store for us. So, if you haven’t watched any of the Fast and Furious movies yet, I highly recommend you give them a chance and join in on the ride. So buckle up and get ready for some high-speed action with the Fast and Furious franchise!

Essay on My Favorite Movie Twilight:

My favorite movie of all time is Twilight. I know, I know, it may sound cliché but hear me out. The reason why it’s my favorite movie goes beyond the romantic vampire and werewolf love triangle that captured the hearts of millions around the world.

Twilight is not just a typical romance film. It’s a story about self-discovery, acceptance, and the power of love to transcend all boundaries.

The movie is based on the novel by Stephenie Meyer and follows the story of Bella Swan, a teenage girl who moves to the small town of Forks, Washington to live with her father. There she meets Edward Cullen, a mysterious and handsome vampire who she falls in love with. However, their love is not without challenges as they must navigate the dangerous world of vampires and werewolves while also facing their own personal demons.

One of the reasons why I love this movie is because of its strong female lead. Bella is not your typical damsel in distress waiting to be saved by her prince charming. She is independent, brave, and unafraid to stand up for what she believes in. Her character development throughout the series is inspiring and relatable, making her a role model for young girls everywhere.

Another aspect of the movie that I enjoy is its beautiful cinematography. The stunning scenery of the Pacific Northwest adds to the mystical and enchanting atmosphere of the story. It’s no wonder that fans from all over the world travel to Forks to visit some of the filming locations.

But what makes this movie truly special to me is its theme of love conquering all. Despite their differences, Bella and Edward’s love for each other remains strong and unwavering. It shows that true love knows no boundaries, whether it be race, social status, or even species.

Twilight may have its fair share of critics but for me, it will always hold a special place in my heart. It’s not just a movie, it’s a reminder that love is the most powerful force in the world and can overcome any obstacle.

In conclusion, Twilight is more than just a teenage romance movie. It’s a beautiful story about love, growth, and acceptance. Its captivating characters, breathtaking scenery, and timeless message make it my all-time favorite movie. It’s a film that I can watch over and over again, always finding something new to love about it. And for that, it will forever hold a special place in my heart.

So the next time someone asks me why Twilight is my favorite movie, I’ll simply smile and say “because it’s not just a movie, it’s a love story that transcends all boundaries.” So, if you haven’t watched it yet, I highly recommend giving it a chance and experiencing the magic of Twilight for yourself. Trust me, you won’t regret it.

Essay on My Favorite Movie Dangal:

As a movie buff, I have watched hundreds of movies spanning different genres. But there is one movie that stands out amongst them all and holds a special place in my heart – Dangal.

Dangal is an Indian sports biographical drama based on the real-life story of former wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat and his daughters Geeta Phogat and Babita Kumari. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the movie stars Aamir Khan as Mahavir Singh Phogat and Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra as his daughters. The film was released in 2016 and has since become one of the highest-grossing Indian films of all time.

What makes Dangal my favorite movie is not just its box office success, but the powerful message it delivers. The film challenges societal norms and stereotypes by showcasing the struggle of a father who defies all odds to train his daughters in a male-dominated sport like wrestling. It breaks gender barriers and inspires young girls to pursue their dreams, no matter how unconventional they may seem.

Apart from its impactful message, Dangal also delivers exceptional performances by its lead actors. Aamir Khan once again proves his versatility as an actor with his portrayal of Mahavir Singh Phogat. He not only physically transforms himself to play the role of a wrestler but also brings out the emotional side of a father who is determined to see his daughters succeed. Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra also shine in their roles as the Phogat sisters, displaying strong-willed and determined characters.

The film’s screenplay and direction are top-notch, keeping the audience engaged from start to finish. The wrestling scenes are choreographed brilliantly, making them look realistic and intense. The soundtrack of the movie is another highlight, with songs like “Dangal” and “Haanikaarak Bapu” becoming instant hits.

In addition to its commercial success, Dangal has also received critical acclaim. The film won several awards, including the National Film Award for Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment and three Filmfare Awards. It was also India’s official entry for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film.

In conclusion, Dangal is a movie that has it all – a powerful message, exceptional performances, and top-notch execution. It not only entertains but also educates and inspires its audience. For me, it will always remain my favorite movie and one that I highly recommend to everyone. So if you haven’t watched it yet, do yourself a favor and add it to your must-watch list. You won’t be disappointed. So, keep watching amazing movies!

Short Essay on My Favorite Movie Bahubali:

Bahubali is an epic Indian movie that swept the nation off its feet with its grandeur, action-packed scenes, and compelling storyline. Released in 2015, this movie was a game-changer for Indian cinema as it broke all box office records and took the world by storm.

Directed by S.S. Rajamouli, Bahubali tells the story of two brothers, Amarendra Bahubali and Bhallaladeva, who fight for the throne of the ancient kingdom of Mahishmati. The movie is set in a fictional world filled with political intrigue, love, war, and betrayal.

One of the reasons I fell in love with this movie is its incredible action sequences. From sword fights to larger-than-life battle scenes, Bahubali has it all. The special effects and CGI used in the movie are top-notch and make the fight scenes even more captivating.

But what truly sets Bahubali apart is its strong characters, especially its female lead Devasena. She is a fierce warrior who can hold her ground against any opponent. Her character challenges traditional gender roles and stands out as a symbol of strength and resilience.

Apart from the action, Bahubali also has a heart-wrenching love story between Amarendra Bahubali and Devasena. Their chemistry is palpable, and their love for each other is portrayed beautifully on screen. This adds an emotional depth to the movie that makes it even more impactful.

Moreover, what I admire about Bahubali is how it showcases the rich culture and traditions of India. The sets, costumes, and music all beautifully capture the essence of Indian mythology and history.

Aside from its entertainment value, Bahubali also has a powerful message about good triumphing over evil. Through the character of Amarendra Bahubali, the movie teaches us that true strength lies in compassion and not violence.

In conclusion, Bahubali will always hold a special place in my heart as it is not just a movie but an experience. It has set the bar high for Indian cinema and has left its mark on audiences worldwide. This movie truly represents the magic of storytelling and proves that with passion and dedication, anything is possible. So, if you haven’t watched Bahubali yet, do yourself a favor and experience this masterpiece for yourself. So, don’t wait any longer and dive into the world of Bahubali – you won’t regret it!

JUST copy paste one of your shitposts (I suggest, Sisyphus:The Myth)..Oh wait..it is a recommendation post for a drama. Maybe, you can add a line to say "I contacted Initial Freeze and stopped watching after Ep 1, not because I was spoiled for the ending, or I don’t care about the characters and seeing their happily ever after, but because I love the drama so much, I don’t want to think of it as “over”. I skipped the entire drama and left the story frozen in space as it seemed a better option"

Since it's argumentative in nature, it won't be out of place to conclude with : "With this carefully crafted points of mine, I hope I have been to confuse you and not to convince you that..."

LOL. And after all the joy of reading well-crafted pieces, the readers are still left with a lifelong agonizing question “To watch or not to watch” 😅

October 2, 2023 at 4:33 AM

If the thread "[Drama Chat] They warned me but I watched anyway" is any indication, then people will go and watch the disasters with extra moral boost, but the real dilemma would begin for the not-so-good-but-not-so-bad average dramas.

October 2, 2023 at 4:42 AM

Maybe, I should write about the infamous "Doctor Stranger" which I am currently watching for the first time and at the end of every episode, I am left with the burning question of "Why am I unable to see the bad that deters people away from this drama?"

This is a piece of cake for me. The drama I advocate everyone should see is Our Blooming Youth . I have 10 8 solid reasons for it. (I can write many more, but the word limit limits me..... Reason No 1 - Beauty of Park Hyung Sik : Does this point need elaboration? If you are still unconvinced, please refer to Google and check out his unparalleled visage. After I finish pilfering some of those said pictures from the web, I shall perform extraordinary fan service by uploading his out-of-the-world beauty for all to behold on my fan wall. #2) Reason No 2 - Chemistry and kinship of both main leads : This drama has some of the most meaningful exchanges of love, trust and friendship I have seen. Like real dialougues. It's full of indirect confessions that sing peans about their bond, camaraderie and devotion to each other, "You protect me, and I will protect you" being the theme. #3) Reason No 3 - Acting of the star cast Every single person aced it. I have watched many, many sagueks, and often, except the main leads and sometimes not even them (Splash Splash Love comes to mind), most actors do not have the body language or the mannerisms of someone of that era (my other favourite 'The Red Sleeve' which was superior in production value was also guilty of this). This series aced it. If they acted out of character, they had an explanation, which added to the realistic feel. Led by the indomitable PHS, a rare actor who does not only rely on his exceptional looks, the entire team, especially Lee Tae Sun, Pyo ye Jin and Yun Jong Seok, along with the children and the Inn couple, brought their A-game. Actually, everyone - the Princess, the King, the Queen, the bickering ministers, the eunuchs, the Court ladies - all of them. The only two people who could get some points deducted were Heo Won Seo (who has the most dazzling smile btw) and Jung Woong In (who thought dimples could ever look ugly...) #4) Reason No 4 - The Period feel and costumes : This series could have had a better cinematographer (whoever it was, they wasted some jaw-dropping angles) and editor (who, in my opinion, should never find work again), but the costume and prop team was exceptional. They stayed true to the era (this was the first half of the Joseon dynasty, so many things were still unavailable that added to the luxurious look of other later-period Sagueks). They even paid attention to the Crown Prince's chamber in the Eastern Palace. The rooms of this period were smaller but had thicker doors. Substantial expansion of the Eastern Palace took place after it was destroyed in the Imjin attack in 1592 and restoration after that. The costumes were on point, down to the ribbons and embroidery. #5) Reason No 5 - Humour The series has some of the most side-twitching laugh-out-loud funny moments that are so good that they remain funny even during rewatches. The best part is it's not slapstick. So, if you are up for some good...

October 2, 2023 at 5:50 AM

So, if you are up for some good comedy, this is for you. #6) Reason No 6 - Sibling love The only saguek where siblings stand by each other like rocks. OBY is like a breath of fresh air in a sea of sagueks where everyone is killing off their brothers. Even the evil man is faithful to his brother. #7) Reason No 7 - Not many deaths SPOILER: There are some disturbing scenes, but honestly, I like a series where none of my beloved characters dies (I am looking at you, Butt Massage!) #8) Reason No 8 - Last but not least, the most important reason, My fan fic : Yup, that is how much love I have for this series that I spooled an entire second season in my fan-fic, lol! And it, of course, focuses on their romance (who can resist PHS in love? I had to write). Initially, I was hesitant, but after it became a bonafide novel, I decided to share it. Especially those who missed the complete lack of skinship in the series will enjoy it. https://archiveofourown.org/works/48556441/chapters/122480221 (More info on my fan wall)

You have inspired me to go back and finish OBY and then I will definitely read your fanfic!

How awesome is that! I am super glad.

Thank you for the Park Hyung-Sik psa we didn't know we needed! 💜

LOL!! I am sure we all need reminders time to time hehe! I am rather Ye Bunish ( bun pun intented) when it comes to PHS. I mean, I can't imagine being so elementary with my husband (insert eyeroll).

I love that all these reasons are equally significant and I know you numbered them just for the ease of reading 🙂

I could not imagine subjecting our beanies to a 1000 words of wordy words running into each other about a drama that I passiontely adore but they might not find it even worth giving a read.....

I won't read the fan fiction, but points 1-7 have me convinced. I've been needing a completed drama to dive into, and now I've got it. Thanks!

October 2, 2023 at 7:26 AM

OBY is a social drama and has a crime angle more befitting Joseon era Nancy Drew/Hardy Boys combo , (hence the name) if you will, and if you don't care about the romance angle (which is very Jane Austinish), you won't need to read it at all. The fan fic is strictly for those who had the romance bug itching their romantic brain cells.

I love that you didn't wait to see if you got published but went straight in. With the added bonus that this will act as a prompt for those who were on the fence whether to submit an essay or not.

October 2, 2023 at 7:09 AM

LOL! For some reason EST time the website refuses to load and it double posts. I am so looking forward to some recommendations. I am still watching Something in the rain but whatever I have seen so far is making me want to recommend it but I know it will be premature.

October 3, 2023 at 1:32 PM

I'm already on Episode 4! I definitely agree with Reasons 1 through 5. PHS is always gorgeous; chemistry between ML and FL is already developing, and as long as they are in scenes together, I won't need skinship--smiles are all the romance I need; the period feeling is spot on, without the evil palace masterminds dominating the plot; and the humor IS laugh-out-loud funny. So far I have not wanted to fast forward any scenes. Thanks again.

October 3, 2023 at 2:35 PM

Yay! Joseons were such hermits that all their trouble brewed within their walls, so it's hard to escape Palace politics completely unless there is an extrinsic outside force like a war. Still, this show did it quite well and as the mystery unveils, the backstories get quite strong (they are very compelling, which I loved), even though you might the editing of some of the upcoming episodes choppy (the editor is really really bad). But the dialouges are to die for and the cast does not let off even for a second. Great stuff. As I was writing the fan fic, I also realised they had a resolution for every single question raised, it's just spread all over the series. Just an FYI.

I like recommending stuff, but i am honestly to chicken to hear peoples opinions after they watched it. Like what if i recommend my favorite and they just hate it :(( that would break my heart haha. But i am courious what people will suggest here. My watchlist is very long, but i never know where to start. Hopefully someone recs a thriller i haven't watched yet, it's my most watched genre hehe.

I think being secure in your likes and dislikes becomes easier when you start filtering the reasons why you like or dislike whatever it is. For example, I might not agree, but I solidly see the POV of those who loved KTL. Just because I didn't get the feels does not mean others didn't either. And people are actually kinder than we give credit for. I know most who didn't agree with KTL simply dropped it and let the ppl who enjoyed have their run. Of course, if the end frustrates it's the fans who are angry and can't do much about it LOL!

Grand Sophy, I can feel your pain. It can be a real downer when someone doesn’t like something that you hold dear. But ultimately, the important thing is that the show makes YOU happy. We should grab onto life’s pleasures wherever and whenever we find them!

I'm tempted to take a stab at Our Blues. I thought it was woefully underappreciated and would have definitely been my drama of the year by a mile had not My Liberation Notes come up and given it a run for it's money. I still liked Our Blues better, but it was a very close run thing. But while everyone loved My Liberation Notes, Our Blues seemed to pass most people by.

Let me mull it over. See if I have enough to say on the issue.

November 2, 2023 at 10:38 AM

I think you should go for it as Our blues is a drama with so many little stories you can dip in and out of. I watched it recently, missing out on the stories that were angsty or sad and I really loved it. I initially walked away after watching part of the first story. There may be others like me who don’t know it really is an ensemble cast with some lovely insights into friendships, relationships forgiveness and trust.

You watched the whole thing so can see how the little stories made up the whole. I loved the ending event it was lovely to see them all and the little recaps was a nice touch. The cast looked like they had a great time filming it too.

November 8, 2023 at 5:49 PM

The more I think about it, the more inclined I am to do it.

Early Life of William Shakespeare

Shakespeare is the world’s pre-eminent dramatist and according to many experts is the greatest writer in the English language. Furthermore, he is also called England’s National Poet and also has the nickname of the Bard of Avon. Such a worthy reputation is due to his top-notch unmatchable writing skills.

William Shakespeare was born to a successful businessman in Stratford-upon-Avon on 23rd April in the year 1564. Shakespeare’s mother was the daughter of a landlord and came from a well-to-do family. About the age of seven, William Shakespeare began attending the Stratford Grammar School.

The teachers at Stratford were strict in nature and the school timings were long. One can say that William Shakespeare’s use of nature in his writings was due to the influence of the fields and woods surrounding the Stratford Grammar School on him.

Warwickshire was an interesting place to live, especially for those who were writers. Furthermore, the river Avon ran down through the town and because of this Shakespeare later got the title ‘Bard of Avon’. At the age of eighteen, William Shakespeare married Anne Hathaway, a woman who in age was eight years older than him.

Shakespeare became a member of one of the famous theatre companies in the city. Moreover, this company was ‘the Lord Chamberlain’s Men’. Also, the theatre companies during that era were commercial organizations that were dependent upon the audience who came to watch the plays.

From the year 1594, Shakespeare became the leading member of the acting group and remained that for almost the entire rest of his career. By the year 1594, the production of at least six plays had taken place by William Shakespeare.

Evidence shows that Shakespeare became a member of a well-known travelling theatre group. After joining this theatre, Shakespeare did plays in the presence of many dignitaries in various places.

Shakespeare, throughout his life, came up with some outstanding pieces of English literature , involving memorable timeless characters with human qualities. Furthermore, the human qualities and struggles of Shakespeare’s characters are such that one can relate with them even today. Shakespeare retired from his acting profession in 1613 and became completely devoted to writing many excellent plays.

American Broadcasting Company has done it again, making those of us who love watching TV be glued to our screen when this program appears on our screens. You might be wondering, what is this program that has made so many people wag their tongues whenever they speak of their best TV programs? Stop wondering because the answer is LOST. This program is an American Drama series that premiered on September 8th 2004. Based on an original screenplay entitled nowhere by Lieber Jeffery, this six series piece is a master piece of Damon Lindelof and J.J. Abrams. It is saddening for me that this magnificent masterpiece will end after the sixth and final season which premiered on February 2, 2010.

This series recaps the past, present and future lives of the survivors of a passenger plane bound for Los Angeles from Sydney. The plane named Oceanic Flight 815 tears apart in mid-air forcing it to crash on a pacific Island. It also recaps the lives of people who are already living in the island at the time of the plane crash.  Each episode has a standard storyline on the present and future lives of the characters. The numerous clip shows that recap the previous episodes makes one want to find more about what is going to happen at later stages of the drama.

Through my observation, the shooting of this piece must have cost the directors and casts a whopping amount of money. The background and the sound tracks are so captivating to the viewers; grab a copy of this powerful drama which can be found in DVDs from your nearest movie library. I guarantee that you will enjoy this drama because it has lots of charisma and excitement. However, I am going to give you an insight into this play before you go out there and grab a copy of your own.

The survivors get to meet other people who have either faced the same fate as them or are the natives of the island. Through flash back and flash forwards, the viewers have the chance of knowing the past and the future of the many characters who cast in this drama. This drama highlights the theme of survival for the fittest; every character has to demonstrate an inner strength none of them ever knew he/she had.  The island is filled with many secrets that the characters have to discover over time, first off, the character discover a mysterious smoke that keeps on appearing to individuals at different times throughout the drama.  Nobody knows the significance of this smoke in the island until later on when they interact with people from the other side of the island. This smoke has its roots to a mysterious man named Jacob. This man is a spirit that appears in the form of a smoke. His mission is to protect the inhabitants of this strange island and do away with those people who try to do harm to the island.

The survivors are also set to task of tracing and killing polar bears that are out to kill and maul any of them. These grizzly bears have been living in this island for many years, whenever they encounter a human being; they kill him/her instantly. The mysterious island was surrounded with an ocean, thus, finding clean water was a problem. However, the survivors eventually discover a hidden location where fresh, cold water is running. After living in the island for some days, the Oceanic flight 815 survivors discover signs that showed that the island had been explored by people, who had reached it before them. The  discovery of the ruins of a 19th century ship named The Black Rock, the remains of an ancient statue and the banker belonging to the Dharma Initiative were enough evidence that showed that this island  was discovered long before they crashed into it.

I can compare this presentation to a tree; the tree will represent the entire plot, its branches represent the sub plots while the leaves and twigs represent the other story lines. The directors of this drama have brilliant minds that always blow the minds of the audience each time a new episode is released. The characters have blended well with the setting of this drama; the airplane had 324 passengers on board before the crash. From the 324 passenger on board only 71 survive, after the plane crashed, these survivors are the ones who create the characters of this movie. The first season of the drama had 5 outstanding casts played by the following characters; Mathew Fox plays Jack Foster, a brilliant spinal surgeon. In his former life, Jack has to deal with personal issues affecting his father before he dies while on a trip to Australia. While taking his father’s body from Australia to America, hell breaks loose after the plane crashes in the mysterious island.

After the plane crash, many survivors come off the wrecks of the plane wounded; therefore, medical attention is needed. Jack fits remarkably well in this task because of his expertise as a doctor; he uses his skills to administer first aid to the survivors. Later on, Jack takes on the unofficial role of the leader to the survivors; this is because other survivors found it easy to bond with him. Coincidentally, jack falls in love with one of the survivors called Kate Austen played by Evangeline Lilly. This woman is a fugitive who is on the run after killing a man she thought was her step father. This man was constantly abusing Kate’s mother and she was not comfortable with this, unknown to her, she had killed her biological father. In this drama, Kate develops feelings for both jack and another survivor called Sawyer. Of all the women who survived, Kate strikes out as a mother figure to the rest of the survivors.

Sayid Jarrah, played by Naveen Andrews is an ex-soldier, who used to torture prisoners; he is also an accomplished electrician who could fix anything. In this drama, this character uses his expertise to salvage the other survivors. He uses his ego as torturer to solicit for information from a fellow survivor. He therefore, has to leave the camp after this act because he had sworn never to torture another person ever again. Through Jarrah, the survivors try to leave the island but this plot fails after they discover the signal they were tracking was a recorded signal and had no significance.

The most lovable character in this drama is Hugo Rayes played by Jorge Garcia; he is a dependable team player who has the interests of all the survivors at heart. In his previous life, Hugo had won enormous sums of money with the synonymous number of the mysterious island. The disaster struck when he was heading home, back from Australia, where he had gone to pay a visit to a woman whose husband had used the synonymous number. According to Hugo, the winning number is cursed and their presence brings a sour taste into his mouth. James Sawyer, played by Josh Holloway is another character that is fascinating to watch, at a tender age of 8, Sawyer lost his parents. He adopted this title from a man who had caused the death of his parents and used it to con his victim’s money. During one of his endeavors of conning unknowing citizens off their hard earned money, Sawyer is arrested and deported back to the US from Australia. It was during this trip that his flight crashed to the mysterious Island. Throughout the drama, Sawyer‘s cocky and stubborn attitudes are evident. He tries to create tension between Jack and Kate; however, this trick goes against him as other survivors including Jack and Kate isolate from him. Other characters have also played an integral part in this drama to make it one of the best dramas I have ever seen.

In conclusion, I want to encourage those of you who enjoy watching movies to go and have a copy of this piece because it can be found in DVDs in movie stores near you. This captivating drama series is one of the best movies I have ever watched, try and experience the captivating themes and settings highlighted in this drama. If you do so, I am sure that many of you will be joining me every evening to watch this breathtaking drama.

Essay on My Favourite Teacher: 150 Words

The teacher I like most is Raman sir. He is the teacher of mathematics in our school. From the first day, all the students in the class felt very close to him because of his friendly behaviour with all of us.

He is polite and sweet natured. He is very hard-working. He loves his youngers and respects his elders. He himself is a model of good conduct. He guides us on the right path in order to make us useful and sensible citizens.

The subject of mathematics seemed very complex and difficult to me from the beginning. But he explained mathematical problems, geometry, everything so easily that I started to get very good marks in mathematics. He makes mathematics so interesting to us.

What particularly attracted me was his wide knowledge and keen interest in diverse matters. He wants his children to learn with understanding. He does not depend only on bookish knowledge. He, sometimes, also takes us out for a visit to some interesting places. A teacher, like him, could be seldom found. He shall remain an inspiration to me.

Essay on Favourite Teacher : 200 Words

In course of my student life, I came across many good teachers. Amongst them were brilliant scholars and great teachers. But in Sri Pankaj Mukherjee, I found not only a teacher with all the good qualities but also a friend, a philosopher and a guide. Although he loved everyone, I was his favourite student. Untiring in his zeal, he had great love for all students even the naughty ones. He was never unhappy even for a moment.

Though English was his favourite subject, he was equally strong in other subjects too and could go on giving notes on them with equal ease. He explained everything so lucidly that all the subjects he taught proved to be interesting. His doors were always open to us. He sympathised with us whenever we were in difficulty. He was a strict disciplinarian but he had a soft corner for all of us.

He also encouraged us to take part in sports and games and even participated in certain games with us. In short, he was more than a teacher to us. I admire him and still remember him because he was an ideal teacher in all respects.

How to write a good drama essay?

Essay paper writing

my favourite drama essay in english

Thinking about the cultural heritage of a country, people usually remember music, paintings, costumes, and even cuisine, but often forget about drama. This art has taken various forms in different countries, and most nations have a great history of its development.

For ages, it has evolved from being merely entertainment for masses to something a lot bigger and more valuable. It started reflecting the real life, presenting both beautiful and ugly sides of it, teaching people important lessons, educating them, delivering certain messages, and raising public awareness.

Therefore, if you were assigned a drama essay, you have a wide variety of topics to choose from and viewpoints to consider. While picking the topic might not be the biggest issue, as you likely know a few plays you might want to review, the writing part might be a little tricky. Let us walk you through it though.

Drama essay outline

There is nothing special about the structure of dramatic essays. Its main elements are:

  • Introduction. Start with a hook phrase, provide a few sentences with some background information on the topic, and end the introductory paragraph with a thesis statement showing the purpose of your paper.
  • Body. If you are writing a typical 1-2-page essay, the body will likely consist of about 3-5 paragraphs, each with its own main idea and supporting sentences.
  • Conclusion. The main task of this section is to restate the thesis statement, briefly overview the discussion you had in the body, and leave your readers some food for thought.

Drama essay format

The question of formatting always concerns students because it constitutes a considerable part of the overall grade. If you are a school student, you will likely be asked to use APA or MLA style. But if you study at a university, then the choice of formatting styles can be wider. Therefore, it is better to clarify which one would be the most suitable with your professor before you start working on your essay.

Drama essay help: best tips

Drama studies, the same as numerous other courses, require their students to work on different kinds of tasks, and many of them involve essay writing. Even though you are familiar with various types of papers and have certainly worked on a wide range of topics, the most frequent task you may be assigned is usually an analysis paper. No matter how many essays you have prepared before, drama writing assignments will be a unique, unusual, and unexpectedly enjoyable experience that will fascinate you each time.

As most professors try to help their students relish each drama essay assignment and approach it creatively, they often leave minimum instructions to follow. While some people see it as an opportunity to learn in comfort and recognize the limits of their own perception, others freeze in confusion, having no idea what to do next. It is completely natural to feel baffled when you are used to staying within limits set by teachers but are suddenly given so much freedom for experiments and action. It is just important to come out of this perplexed state and make a clear plan like this one:

Choose a play

Obviously, a drama analysis essay cannot be done if there is nothing to analyze. Therefore, it is important to pick the play first. Teachers can provide their students with a list of plays to choose from, and as you have no time to watch them all and then pick one, read brief descriptions of them on the Web, and go with the play you liked the most.

If you have no list, the situation gets a bit more complicated, but there is no need to worry, as you can create such a list on your own. Focus on the topic you are currently studying on the course, and search for plays that would have the needed time frame, country, exact theatre, or team of actors. Make your own little research on these plays to figure out what they are about and make the final decision on what you are going to analyze.

Think of the assessment criteria

The type of paper you are working on implies that you need to analyze certain aspects of the play you will watch, and it is crucial to decide what those things will be. If you have to focus on technical attributes of the play, then lights, quality of music, costumes, and decorations are the nice assessment choices. However, writing about drama, you will more often be asked to put the emphasis on something spiritual or emotional. In this case, it is better to examine acting itself, as well as the role of crewmembers, their involvement, language, feelings, and contribution to the play. You can always look up the criteria, but it is better to come up with a few on your own, write them all down, and make sure they all will be suitable for your essay on drama.

Outline, write, and revise

When you feel ready for writing about drama, create proper working conditions for yourself, and prepare an outline first. Find a place where nothing will bother you, turn off your phone, and take everything you need for writing. Look up how to structure the work, check out the outline provided above, or find a suitable sample and check how it is organized.

You can either use a similar structure or outline the drama paper on your own using the data you have. Think about the purpose of the work, the information you want to present, and the way you will shape your discussion. Start writing a drama review only when the outline is ready and make sure to proofread it when you finish.

As long as movies have been produced, everyone has patronized them.  Essays about movies  are a great way to learn all about the meaning behind the picture.

Cinema is an art form in itself. The lighting, camera work, and acting in the most widely acclaimed movies are worthy of praise. Furthermore, a movie can be used to send a message, often discussing issues in contemporary society. Movies are entertaining, but more importantly, they are works of art. “Films encourage us to take action. Our favourite characters, superheroes, teach us life lessons. They give us ideas and inspiration to do everything for the better instead of just sitting around, waiting for things to go their way. Films about famous personalities are the perfect way to affect social behaviour positively. Films are a source of knowledge. They can help learn what’s in the trend, find out more about ancient times, or fill out some knowledge gaps.”

In this movie essay, Rathod gives readers three ways watching movies can positively affect us. Movie writers, producers, and directors use their platform to teach viewers life skills, the importance of education, and the contrast between good and evil. Watching movies can also help us improve critical thinking, according to Briggs. Not only do movies entertain us, but they also have many educational benefits. “Many people involving children and adults can effect with their sleeping disturbance and anxiety. Myths, non-realistic, fairy tales could respond differently with being in the real world. Horror movies bring a lot of excitement and entertainment among you and your family. Horror movies can cause physical behavior changes in a person by watching the films. The results of watching horror movies shows that is has really effect people whether you’re an adult, teens, and most likely happens during your childhood.”

In his essay, Briggs acknowledges why people enjoy horror movies so much but warns of their adverse effects on viewers. Most commonly, they cause viewers nightmares, which may cause anxiety and sleep disorders. He focuses on the films’ effects on children, whose more sensitive, less developed brains may respond with worse symptoms, including major trauma. The films can affect all people negatively, but children are the most affected.

“This was the message of Casablanca in late 1942. It was the ideal opportunity for America to utilize its muscles and enter the battle. America was to end up the hesitant gatekeeper of the entire world. The characters of Casablanca, similar to the youthful Americans of the 1960s who stick headed the challenge development, are ‘genuine Americans’ lost in a hostile region, battling to open up another reality.”

In this essay, the author discusses the 1942 film  Casablanca , which is said to be the greatest movie ever made, and explains why it has gotten this reputation. To an extent, the film’s storyline, acting, and even relatability (it was set during World War II) allowed it to shine from its release until the present. It invokes feelings of bravery, passion, and nostalgia, which is why many love the movie. You can also check out these  books about adaption .

4.   Dune Review: An Old Story Reshaped For The New 2021 Audience by Oren Cohen

“Lady Jessica is a powerful woman in the original book, yet her interactions with Paul diminish her as he thinks of her as slow of thought. Something we don’t like to see in 2021 — and for a good reason. Every book is a product of its time, and every great storyteller knows how to adapt an old story to a new audience. I believe Villeneuve received a lot of hate from diehard Dune fans for making these changes, but I fully support him.”

Like the previous essay, Cohen reviews a film, in this case, Denis Villeneuve’s  Dune , released in 2021. He praises the film, writing about its accurate portrayal of the epic’s vast, dramatic scale, music, and, interestingly, its ability to portray the characters in a way more palatable to contemporary audiences while staying somewhat faithful to the author’s original vision. Cohen enjoyed the movie thoroughly, saying that the movie did the book justice.

“Those travelers added around 630 million New Zealand dollars ($437 million) to the country’s economy in 2019 alone, the tourism authority told CNBC. A survey by the tourism board, however, showed that almost one in five Kiwis are worried that the country attracts too many tourists. Overcrowding at tourist spots, lack of infrastructure, road congestion and environmental damage are creating tension between locals and visitors, according to a 2019 report by Tourism New Zealand.”

The locations where successful movies are filmed often become tourist destinations for fans of those movies. Goel writes about how “film tourism” affects the residents of popular filming locations. The environment is sometimes damaged, and the locals are caught off guard. Though this is not always the case, film tourism is detrimental to the residents and ecosystem of these locations. 6. Moonage Daydream:  “Who Is He? What Is He?” by Jonathan Romney

“Right from the start, Brett Morgen’s  Moonage Daydream  (2022) catches us off guard. It begins with an epigraph musing on Friedrich Nietzsche’s proclamation that “God is dead,” then takes us into deep space and onto the surface of the moon. It then unleashes an image storm of rockets, robots, and star-gazers, and rapid-fire fragments of early silent cinema, 1920s science fiction, fifties cartoons, and sixties and seventies newsreel footage, before lingering on a close-up of glittery varnish on fingernails.”

Moonage Daydream  is a feature film containing never-before-seen footage of David Bowie. In this essay, Romney delves into the process behind creating the movie and how the footage was captured. It also looks at the director’s approach to creating a structured and cohesive film, which took over two years to plan. This essay looks at how Bowie’s essence was captured and preserved in this movie while displaying the intricacies of his mind.

7. La Bamba:  American Dreaming, Chicano Style by Yolanda Machado

“A traumatic memory, awash in hazy neutral tones, arising as a nightmare. Santo & Johnny’s mournful “Sleep Walk” playing. A sudden death, foreshadowing the passing of a star far too young. The opening sequence of Luis Valdez’s  La Bamba  (1987) feels like it could be from another film—what follows is largely a celebration of life and music.”

La Bamba  is a well-known movie about a teenage Mexican migrant who became a rock ‘n’ roll star. His rise to fame is filled with difficult social dynamics, and the star tragically dies in a plane crash at a young age. In this essay, Machado looks at how the tragic death of the star is presented to the viewer, foreshadowing the passing of the young star before flashing back to the beginning of the star’s career. Machado analyses the storyline and directing style, commenting on the detailed depiction of the young star’s life. It’s an in-depth essay that covers everything from plot to writing style to direction.

5 Prompts for Essays About Movies

Simple and straightforward, write about your favorite movie. Explain its premise, characters, and plot, and elaborate on some of the driving messages and themes behind the film. You should also explain why you enjoy the movie so much: what impact does it have on you? Finally, answer this question in your own words for an engaging piece of writing.

From horror to romance, movies can fall into many categories. Choose one of the main genres in cinema and discuss the characteristics of movies under that category. Explain prevalent themes, symbols, and motifs, and give examples of movies belonging to your chosen genre. For example, horror movies often have underlying themes such as mental health issues, trauma, and relationships falling apart.

Without a doubt, special effects in movies have improved drastically. Both practical and computer-generated effects produce outstanding, detailed effects to depict situations most would consider unfathomable, such as the vast space battles of the  Star Wars  movies. Write about the development of special effects over the years, citing evidence to support your writing. Be sure to detail key highlights in the history of special effects.

Movies are always made to be appreciated by viewers, but whether or not they enjoy them varies, depending on their preferences. In your essay, write about what you look for in a “good” movie in terms of plot, characters, dialogue, or anything else. You need not go too in-depth but explain your answers adequately. In your opinion, you can use your favorite movie as an example by writing about the key characteristics that make it a great movie.

Essays About Movies: The evolution of movies

From the silent black-and-white movies of the early 1900s to the vivid, high-definition movies of today, times have changed concerning movies. Write about how the film industry has improved over time. If this topic seems too broad, feel free to focus on one aspect, such as cinematography, themes, or acting.

Write an Essay on my Hobby

Sample essay on my hobby reading books,  gardening, drawing, cricket, dancing etc. My hobby essay in English.

Essay on my Hobby

In today’s busy life, all one does is come home from work, wake up again next day, and start working on. The loop keeps on repeating, and repeating until the day comes when you get stressed to a level where you no longer wish you would work, or earn. You no longer care about anything, and all you wish to do is just take a vacation out of your busy life, and live stress free for just some days. The doctors say in the competitive world we live today everyone has an urge of going forward, reaching other levels going a bit ahead than most people. Making a name for yourself, for your career is all one wants, and desires, but losing yourself along the way is no way of compromising with yourself, or your work.

One should always work up to a limit, a limit where a person knows that yes I can’t work more than this, I need a break. What if I tell you, that you can actually cheat the stress you experience every day, you can actually not take a vacation but still stay stress free throughout the week, throughout your year.  I am talking about developing a “Hobby”.

Whenever the word hobby comes up, one thinks of all the things that one likes doing, it can be gardening, it can be collecting flowers of different kinds, or it can be reading newspapers. Anything that suits you, this is where my conflict starts with people. I ask you as a person, do you really believe that gardening can help you lose your stress levels, and I hope your answer is a No because it is clearly a No.

How can collecting flowers help you reduce your stress levels, and bring you back to a world of competitiveness? It’s almost surreal, and too weird to be believed, and considered true. I however, have developed a hobby that actually helps me reduce my stress levels. Actually helps me cool down for a few hours, and brings me back to my working position in no time.

I am talking about Gaming. Yes, you might be thinking “How does gaming reduce your stress levels”. I’ll explain how. You see in a world full of competiveness, I have found my passion, and named it my hobby. The games that I like to play are not just your regular games that are rated 13. No, I am talking about the games that actually help you to understand this hard world a lot better. I am talking about competitive gaming. People from all over the world, gamers gathering around in an area, being shouted on, and cheered by a few millions of gamers, what’s better than that? Competitive gaming not only helps in actually competing but also develops a sense of “Being the best” in one.

Being the best at something is what we all aim for…isn’t it? So, what’s better than finding your hobby in something that accelerates your desire of being the best through something that almost 50% of my readers like doing “Gaming”. Adopting a hobby not only helps you in confirming who you are a person but who you are as a happy person who can take on any challenges, and still stay stress free because what he adapted as his hobby helps him in being that person.

Adopt a hobby today, be what you’re meant to be.

Essay on My Hobby

A hobby is an occupation which gives pleasure, and amusement to a person, and which carries one of his own accord simply because he likes it. My hobby is not pursued as a profit. The main purpose of a hobby is to derive the pleasure out of it. It is meant for our mental peace, and satisfaction. Moreover hobby gives a stimulus to better living.

There is no compulsion regarding hobby but is arises purely from personal interests, or taste. Different people pursue different hobbies. Selection of a suitable hobby depends on the time you can devote to it, and money on can afford, and one’s aptitude.

There are many different hobbies in the world; some of them are gardening, coin collecting, stamp collecting, cooking, stitching, reading books, and magazines, swimming, fishing, and so on. A hobby has a beneficial effect on the mind, and it prevents one from ever becoming dull, and in low spirits.

Stamp collecting is my favorite hobby. I have made a big collection of stamps. I collect many old, and new stamps of different countries.  They are of different shapes, and sizes. It started when my father gave me one of his album of stamps few years ago, which he gathered I have added two more to it. My father also has a brilliant collection of stamps. Now I have three albums of stamps, one which is given me by my father, and two more which I have made myself. I look after my album very much, and I enjoy the beauty of these attractive stamps.

Stamps’ collecting is very popular hobby among masses. It is not that much expensive that one cannot afford it. Stamps can be purchased easily. Nearly every city has a professional stamp dealer, many departments, and variety stores maintain sections devoted to the needs of collectors. But a person can build a collection without expense. One of my friends also has this hobby we both have asked one shop keeper to keep the stamps. And we also have asked to one of the Clark of our area to supply us variety of different stamps. Moreover most of my friends are foreigners I exchange some of my stamps with them.

Mostly one can afford only one hobby, but here cooking is also my second best hobby. I love to cook for myself, and for my family members. They like the food I make; they love the taste of my food. The variety of dishes like there is traditional foods, deserts, desi food etc. I like to cook traditional food as well as the baking is my favorite. My friends, and family encourages me to pursue my hobby as a profession but I think hobby should be hobby, and professionally one should go for another thing.

Essay on Hobby

I was not one of those lucky people who knew what their goals were right from an early age. To put it in an easy way I was always an indecisive person. I used to start things to just leave them in the middle. The questions I used to dread the most in my childhood was either describes yourself, or what your hobby is. I used to listen to other’s people hobbies, and then try them out later to see if they can become mine but it’s safe to say no they weren’t. It took me a while to realize that one thing that I do to take my mind off, or in my leisure time was Writing.

I am writing for as long as I can remember I have kept a diary, I have tried to make a short story, or did an effort to write a joke but It’s the one thing that I never gave up on. It took me some to time to realize that I possess this quality but after that there was no going back I took my majors as English literature in college to enhance my skills in the field of writing.

My teachers were a great help for a rookie like me. The most valuable lesson I have learned from all this experience is that no one is same, and some of us figure things out early while others take time but we all do figure things out, and that is most indescribable feeling in the world.

The Beauty of Literature

My love for English is also rooted in its rich literature. From the classic works of Shakespeare to the contemporary prose of J.K. The beauty of language.

English, being a global language, provides an avenue for communication across diverse cultures and geographies. It is a tool that aids in understanding the world better. The beauty of this language lies in its versatility and adaptability. It borrows and assimilates words from various languages, evolving continuously. This dynamism makes English an intriguing subject to study.

Literature: A Window to the World

The study of English literature opens up a world of intellectual exploration. It is an immersive journey through different periods of history, social contexts, philosophies, and human emotions. Literary works, whether they are novels, plays, or poems, provide insights into the human condition, making us empathize with characters and situations that are often far removed from our own experiences.

English and Critical Thinking

The art of expression.

IELTS Speaking Part 2 Topic: Favorite drama

my favourite drama essay in english

Favorite drama • What is the name of the TV drama? • What type of TV drama is it? • What message did it convey?

My favorite drama is Prison Break. I watched this drama 3 years ago. The drama has 4 seasons and all of them are quite gripping. The drama is about 2 brothers who break the prison in order to prove their innocence. All the characters in the drama are very good and I can definitely say that people who watch one episode will not be able to leave the seat unless they watch the entire season which quite exciting.

This drama is an action thriller. I know that you might heard of these types of dramas a lot so I wish I could come with another word which could clearly distinguish from this ordinary word. I live in a conservative society where children are not allowed to watch movies or dramas with parental guide and even if they are allowed the dramas should not expose the children to adult content. This drama does not contain any vulgar content, yet it is very interesting.

The message which the drama conveyed is that a person has to be strong in his or her life because a person does not know what might happen in his or her life. The drama showed that even when one brother was living a good life, he still sacrificed his life just in order to give a better life for his brother. The drama showed no matter how difficult the circumstances are, a person should never leave his or her loved ones in the time of need.

How to write an Essay in English

How to write an Essay in English

לפעמים המורה שלכם ייתן לכם נושא, כמו "My favorite animal" או "The best day of my life".

לדוגמה: אם תבחרו ב"Dog" בתור החיה האהובה עליכם, תוכלו לרשום רעיונות כמו "loyal," "friendly," "playful," "good companion,"  ו-  "can do tricks."

Did you know that dogs have been our loyal friends for over 15,000 years? They are not only friendly and playful but also incredibly smart and capable of amazing tricks. My favorite animal is the dog, and here’s why

  • .Dogs are known for their loyalty. They always stand by their owners and protect them
  • .They are friendly and love to be around people, making them great companions
  • .Example: My dog, Max, always greets me with a wagging tail and a happy bark whenever I come home

  • .Dogs love to play. They enjoy games like fetch, tug-of-war, and hide-and-seek
  • .They can keep you company and make you laugh with their funny antics
  • .Example: Max and I play fetch every afternoon in the park. His playful nature always cheers me up

  • .Dogs can be trained to do various tricks like sitting, rolling over, and even playing dead
  • .They can also help people with disabilities by being guide dogs or therapy dogs
  • .Example: Max can perform several tricks, and he even helps my grandmother by fetching her slippers

my favourite drama essay in english

Dogs are truly amazing animals. Their loyalty, friendliness, playfulness, and ability to learn tricks make them my favorite animal. I can't imagine my life without Max, my loyal and playful companion. Dogs are not just pets; they are family

My Favorite Animal
