Pastor David Girley was first used by God when he was only five years old. The Lord woke him from his sleep by calling his name and gave him instructions to prophecy to several people. By the age of twelve, Pastor David was casting demons out of his brother. The anointing and calling on his life was evident from a very early age. Like many believers, it took Pastor David many years of being in the world until he found that Jesus Christ is “the way, the truth, and the life.” (John 14:6)

It was in 1994 that Pastor David responded to God’s call and began his deliverance ministry. God gave him a specific commission: “My people are hurting, and I need an uncompromised, selfless vessel to be able to send to them, so I can heal them. I am not sending you to pat them on the head and move on; I’m sending you and equipping you to stay with the people until they are delivered.” And Prayer, Healing, and Deliverance Ministries were born.

Pastor David answered that commission and began speaking to and praying for those who were hurting, those needing deliverance and those seeking the next level in God. He began by ministering to inmates in prison in Eugene, Oregon. He also worked in the inner city with gang members helping them give up their guns and their rags and give their life to Christ. His ministry now stretches across the United States and includes revivals, conferences, training, and motivational seminars as well as Bible study classes. David has been the keynote speaker for many notable ministries as well as hosting Men’s and Women’s conferences.

Pastor David also has weekly television ministries broadcasted nationally. His national television show airs on the Impact Network every Saturday night at 8:30 pm PST and again at midnight PST. He also has weekly broadcasts on the NOW network on Wednesdays at 7:30 am PST and on the Eternal Life TV Network on Sundays from 4-5pm PST.

Music is another avenue that God communicates to Pastor David. God will give Pastor David specific songs to sing that will help encourage and deliver the body of Christ. Some of these songs have even been purchased by very well-known Gospel Artists. In 2015 he released his God given original single “Somebody Prayed for me” and is currently recording the rest his album.

Pastor David is also an awesome teacher of the Word, one who breaks it down so that an individual from any social or economic background can understand it. One of the reasons why he is such an effective teacher of the word is because his ministry surpasses the pulpit. His gift of teaching and prophesying is used to encourage and equip the body of Christ with the Word of God so that every individual he touches can tap into their full potential in Christ and ultimately to tap into their own ministry. Pastor David puts a strong emphasis on helping equip others for ministry. Let Pastor David himself conclude his biography in his own words: “My ministry cannot reach its full potential until I have helped birth the ministries of others. We are laborers together. Our job is to take care of the laborers instead of attacking them.”

• Have earned a cumulative GPA of at least 3.5 (on a 4.0 scale) in previous graduate studies.
• Present evidence of competence in two languages: (1) a contemporary field language or research language for bibliographic control; and (2) one biblical language.

Designed for those with a Master of Divinity or equivalent, our five DMin programs are advanced degrees that include two years of coursework, a Capstone Project shaped to enhance your distinct ministry goals, and an oral defense. Whether you serve in part-time or full-time ministry, you can select classes available through three flexible, convenient options:

• Study for your degree online so you can keep your current schedule while you learn.
• Attend on campus in Chicago or Plymouth, Michigan, and engage with professors and colleagues in a classroom setting.

This 30-credit hour degree is available at $695 per credit hour. The three-year program cost is equivalent to the tuition and fees for one year of undergraduate study at the typical four-year college. Specific scholarships for this program are available, and payment plans help you even more by defraying the cost of tuition and spreading out your financial obligations over time. Distance Learning Options

DTS’s doctoral programs offer low residency options enabling students to earn their doctorate without moving to Dallas. The DMin and DEdMin can be completed entirely remotely. The EdD requires on-campus attendance for the short Orientation course, then the remaining courses have the remote option. For approved students in ministry, the PhD can be completed through video conferencing with a trip to the Dallas campus approximately once each term.

Video Conferencing

All DTS doctoral programs allow students to join courses remotely through real-time video conferencing, allowing rich interaction and discussion.

One-Week Intensives

DMin and DEDMin courses take place over 6 months with pre-meeting work, a scheduled one-week intensive (in-person or online), and post-meeting assignments.

Important: This degree plan is effective for those starting this degree program in fall 2024 through summer 2025. This degree plan will remain in effect for students who do not break enrollment or who do not change degree programs, concentrations, or cognates.

Students who are not ready for enrollment in CLED 990 after completing CLED 989 may be required, as determined by the student's dissertation chair, to repeat CLED 989 until deemed ready for enrollment in CLED 990 .

Graduation Requirements

• Complete 60 hours
• A maximum of 50% of a post-graduate and doctoral degree may be transferred if approved and allowable, including credit from an earned degree from Liberty University on the same academic level
• No grades lower than B- may be applied to the degree
• Successful completion of Comprehensive Examination
• Successful defense of Prospectus and Dissertation
• Degree must be completed within 7 years
• Submission of Degree Completion Application must be completed within the last semester of a student’s anticipated graduation date

Savvino-storozhevsky monastery and museum.

Zvenigorod's most famous sight is the Savvino-Storozhevsky Monastery, which was founded in 1398 by the monk Savva from the Troitse-Sergieva Lavra, at the invitation and with the support of Prince Yury Dmitrievich of Zvenigorod. Savva was later canonised as St Sabbas (Savva) of Storozhev. The monastery late flourished under the reign of Tsar Alexis, who chose the monastery as his family church and often went on pilgrimage there and made lots of donations to it. Most of the monastery’s buildings date from this time. The monastery is heavily fortified with thick walls and six towers, the most impressive of which is the Krasny Tower which also serves as the eastern entrance. The monastery was closed in 1918 and only reopened in 1995. In 1998 Patriarch Alexius II took part in a service to return the relics of St Sabbas to the monastery. Today the monastery has the status of a stauropegic monastery, which is second in status to a lavra. In addition to being a working monastery, it also holds the Zvenigorod Historical, Architectural and Art Museum.

Belfry and Neighbouring Churches

Located near the main entrance is the monastery's belfry which is perhaps the calling card of the monastery due to its uniqueness. It was built in the 1650s and the St Sergius of Radonezh’s Church was opened on the middle tier in the mid-17th century, although it was originally dedicated to the Trinity. The belfry's 35-tonne Great Bladgovestny Bell fell in 1941 and was only restored and returned in 2003. Attached to the belfry is a large refectory and the Transfiguration Church, both of which were built on the orders of Tsar Alexis in the 1650s.  

To the left of the belfry is another, smaller, refectory which is attached to the Trinity Gate-Church, which was also constructed in the 1650s on the orders of Tsar Alexis who made it his own family church. The church is elaborately decorated with colourful trims and underneath the archway is a beautiful 19th century fresco.

Nativity of Virgin Mary Cathedral

The Nativity of Virgin Mary Cathedral is the oldest building in the monastery and among the oldest buildings in the Moscow Region. It was built between 1404 and 1405 during the lifetime of St Sabbas and using the funds of Prince Yury of Zvenigorod. The white-stone cathedral is a standard four-pillar design with a single golden dome. After the death of St Sabbas he was interred in the cathedral and a new altar dedicated to him was added.

Under the reign of Tsar Alexis the cathedral was decorated with frescoes by Stepan Ryazanets, some of which remain today. Tsar Alexis also presented the cathedral with a five-tier iconostasis, the top row of icons have been preserved.

Tsaritsa's Chambers

The Nativity of Virgin Mary Cathedral is located between the Tsaritsa's Chambers of the left and the Palace of Tsar Alexis on the right. The Tsaritsa's Chambers were built in the mid-17th century for the wife of Tsar Alexey - Tsaritsa Maria Ilinichna Miloskavskaya. The design of the building is influenced by the ancient Russian architectural style. Is prettier than the Tsar's chambers opposite, being red in colour with elaborately decorated window frames and entrance.

At present the Tsaritsa's Chambers houses the Zvenigorod Historical, Architectural and Art Museum. Among its displays is an accurate recreation of the interior of a noble lady's chambers including furniture, decorations and a decorated tiled oven, and an exhibition on the history of Zvenigorod and the monastery.

Palace of Tsar Alexis

The Palace of Tsar Alexis was built in the 1650s and is now one of the best surviving examples of non-religious architecture of that era. It was built especially for Tsar Alexis who often visited the monastery on religious pilgrimages. Its most striking feature is its pretty row of nine chimney spouts which resemble towers.

The Unique Burial of a Child of Early Scythian Time at the Cemetery of Saryg-Bulun (Tuva)

In 1988, the Tuvan Archaeological Expedition (led by M. E. Kilunovskaya and V. A. Semenov) discovered a unique burial of the early Iron Age at Saryg-Bulun in Central Tuva. There are two burial mounds of the Aldy-Bel culture dated by 7th century BC. Within the barrows, which adjoined one another, forming a figure-of-eight, there were discovered 7 burials, from which a representative collection of artifacts was recovered. Burial 5 was the most unique, it was found in a coffin made of a larch trunk, with a tightly closed lid. Due to the preservative properties of larch and lack of air access, the coffin contained a well-preserved mummy of a child with an accompanying set of grave goods. The interred individual retained the skin on his face and had a leather headdress painted with red pigment and a coat, sewn from jerboa fur. The coat was belted with a leather belt with bronze ornaments and buckles. Besides that, a leather quiver with arrows with the shafts decorated with painted ornaments, fully preserved battle pick and a bow were buried in the coffin. Unexpectedly, the full-genomic analysis, showed that the individual was female. This fact opens a new aspect in the study of the social history of the Scythian society and perhaps brings us back to the myth of the Amazons, discussed by Herodotus. Of course, this discovery is unique in its preservation for the Scythian culture of Tuva and requires careful study and conservation.
