Assistant Director, Student Services
- Creates, implements, and provides oversight of clinical DNP placement specialty programs.
- Maintains and tracks student onboarding and placements for 600 DNP students across multiple specialties.
- Build and sustain relationships with individual preceptors, clinical practices, and large health care organizations to enhance the quality and variety of student placement opportunities.
- Evaluates and implements placement and leadership models that build on existing programs and creates an intelligible and accessible clearinghouse of opportunities for students across interests and disciplines.
- Assists with the preparation and revision of publications. Identifies, recommends, and implements technological tools and products that will enhance the web-based presence and social media programming capabilities of the office.
- Designs and implements data collection, analysis, and reporting. Advises students about placements and collaborates with faculty.
- Supervises academic coordinator.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Ability to manage internal and external relationships designed to achieve organizational goals.
- Ability to work collaboratively with faculty members.
- Knowledge of health care delivery models, and ability to communicate successfully with health care educators.
- High level organizational skills to track and manage diverse and large amounts of data.
- Knowledge of the culture of adult learning, and best practices in achieving success for professional learners.

The Office of Academic and Career Success is excited to announce the official launch of Careers4Nurses , our new online job search and career management platform exclusively for students and alumni of the University of Maryland School of Nursing (UMSON).
It serves as your one-stop-shop for searching and applying to positions posted by employers seeking to hire UMSON students and alumni. Search and apply to positions of all kinds, whether it be part-time, full-time, student nurse, externship, research, entry-level, or experienced positions. Careers4Nurses is FREE and accessible 24/7!
If you are a UMSON student and currently registered for classes or you’re a recent alum*, an account has already been created for you.
