After this, the Muslim world became more powerful. Everyone appreciated the struggle of Mohammed Ali Jinnah, his companions, and the Muslims who gave their lives to get to Pakistan. The most outstanding thing after Independence was the changes made by the citizens. Having limited things like machinery, food, and houses, they achieved those things that can’t be predicted. It took many sacrifices to get the country but today we are not doing the things taught by our elders. We got this country so that we can perform our religious worship. Moreover, basic things like Justice, illiteracy rate, and poverty have very bad conditions.

Pakistan’s government and its people are still not taking any lessons from the past as not just once. But twice they have witnessed the result of unfair treatment and not giving the people their due rights but unfortunately, no one is taking the lesson from the past. Still, in our provinces of the country, we are laying the foundation of another civil disobedience and GOD forbid there might be another possibility that any province.

No matter whether it is Sindh, Baluchistan, or KPK will stand and will demand a separate homeland because the rights of the people are being snatched and there is no equality in the provinces as few provinces are being neglected by the federal government. We still have time to survive and to improve the condition because what happened in 1947 was in our favor but what happened to East Pakistan was a big loss and what further can happen to be even more devastating and injurious to the solidarity and the growth of Pakistan.

Pakistan came into existence as a result of the Pakistan Movement; the Pakistan Movement aimed for creation of an independent Muslim state by division of the north-western region of the South Asia and was led by All-India Muslim League under the leadership of Muhammad Ali Jinnah. The event was brought forth by the Indian Independence Act 1947 in which the British Indian Empire gave independence to the Dominion of Pakistan (later the Islamic Republic of Pakistan) which included the West Pakistan (present Pakistan) and East Pakistan (now Bangladesh).

In the Islamic calendar, the day of independence coincided with Ramadan 27, the eve of which is regarded as sacred by Muslims. The main ceremony takes place in Islamabad, where the national flag is hoisted at the Presidential and Parliament buildings, which is followed by the national anthem, and live televised speeches by leaders.

Muslims ruled the subcontinent before the British incursion and suffered due to the 1857 uprising against the British East India Company. Leaders such as Sir Syed Ahmed Khan and Syed Ameer Ali worked diligently for the Muslim people’s political advancement.

The Indian National Congress was formed in 1885, which later on became British India’s largest political party. Major Muslim political leaders, including Muhammad Ali Jinnah, were members of the Indian National Congress and worked towards Hindu-Muslim unity and India’s independence.

The All India Muslim League was founded on December 30, 1906. There was growing demand for an independent Muslim state in India. In 1930 Muhammad Iqbal presented the idea of a separate Muslim state that would geographically consist of the Muslim majority areas in the subcontinent. The word Pakistan is a conjunction of two words Pak meaning Pure and Stan meaning Land, a name coined by Choudhary Rahmat Ali.

Strong Hindu nationalism gave birth to the Two Nation Theory, an ideology that is accredited as being the basis for Pakistan’s creation. In 1940 the Pakistan Resolution was passed in Lahore demanding greater Muslim autonomy in British India.

Today I am going to consecrate my words to my homeland in the form of a 14 August Speech in English for Pakistan Independence Day. “14th August” is the day of the Independence of Pakistan and the day to stand up together singing the national anthem and raising the sound proclaiming that ‘we are Pakistani’. Yes of course! This is a devotional day for all Pakistani nationals not only in Pakistan but also for those Pakistanis who are sitting in abroad countries. The reason is that Pakistan is our unique recognition on the map of the world. The reason is before the formation of a separate country for sub-continental Muslims; no one respects the real religious rights of Muslims. One of the big issues between Hindus and Muslims was the difference between their living styles, their rituals, their foods as well as their litanies. If Muslims use to eat cow meat the Hindus use to adore the cow. Muslims bow before Allah and Hindus bow before stones (Baghwan). Moreover, Hindus were superior in amount while Muslims were few and helpless. So in these hurdles, one man sees a dream of Independence and aims to make his dream come true. So, after a lot of effort and sacrifices, Pakistan came into being.

14th August, is our INDEPENDENCE DAY and it means a day when we had got freedom not only from our ruthless rulers but freedom from humiliation. At this day we got our own identity and our own valves. Pakistan came into being in 1947 as a sovereign state. 14th August is a day when, efforts of our national heroes are appreciated and celebrated and a day when we get our name and respect. Being Muslims we have our own values, traditions and religion. We Muslims celebrate this day with complete satisfaction and pleasure of being in a separate region where we enjoy freedom of living in every way. Pakistan is a democratic parliamentary federal Islamic republic state. Pakistan has its four provinces, Punjab, Sindh, Baluchistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The day is a national holiday in Pakistan and is celebrated all over the country with flag raising ceremonies, tributes to the national heroes and fireworks taking place in the capital, Islamabad. President and prime minister delivers speeches and in the speech, the leaders highlight the achievements of the government, goals set for the future and in the words of the father of the nation, Quaid-i-Azam, bring "Unity, Faith and Discipline" to its people. Day starts with flag raising ceremonies in the Capital city Islamabad and so in all major cities in Pakistan. March parade and exchange of guard’s ceremonies takes place on the Quaid-i-Azam’s mausoleum.

People of Pakistan, on this national holiday visit national monuments like MINAR-e-PAKISTAN which fully lit to commemorate the independence of Pakistan from the British Empire. At WAHGA-BORDER flag raising ceremonies takes place while everybody stands quiet and motionless in the honor of "NATIONAL ANTHEM" after that, military parade gets stars.

Names of people like Muhammad Ali Jinnah, Allama Muhammad Iqbal and Sir Syed Ahmad Khan are always written in golden words in the history of Pakistan. Muhammad Ali Jinnah also known as Quaid-e-Azam is the real founder of Pakistan. Allama Iqbal, with his enthusiastic poetry, motivated Muslims to think and earn their own nationality and name in the world. Sir Syed Ahmad Khan, brought Muslim nation forward and made schools and colleges for Muslims so that they may come to know how to fulfill the latest demands of the advance age.

People gave sacrifices of their lives for independence because they could not follow Islam independently and could not perform their religious duties properly in sub – continent. They were punished or disturbed when they perform their religious duties. It offended Muslims but as they were weak nation, they could not do anything. Pakistan came into being after the sacrifices of countless lives. Many of our ancestors lost their lives only for the freedom of their imminent generations, for the sake of independent land where all the Muslims can offer their religious duties with their own wish and freedom.

As citizens of free Pakistan, we must reflect on the values and principles which were in the minds and hearts of those who fought and sacrificed for our freedom. They portrayed inspiration from the values nurtured in the country through ages. Now we are living as an independent nation, which is enjoying all the beauties, charismas of their own homeland. Being an independent and self-respective nation, it’s our duty to serve our country with our best. We should work whole heartedly and with complete devotion for the development of our beloved homeland, we should not forget the sacrifices of our ancestors and national leaders whole made this land happen as an unrestricted territory for us to live. It’s the time to work with that passion which was in the bloods of our national heroes who fought for our freedom; it’s the time for the strong commitment with us for the betterment of our holy land. We should not compromise on our integrity and would not let our freedom and integrity being used by other dominant powers in the world. At this independent day let we rethink about our plans, our actions and their outcomes. We all should pray at this day of best for our pious land and promise ourselves that we would not let any harm on it and will work for its defense till the day of our last breath.

Our homeland Pakistan is not like other lands of the world, which are inherited by its citizens but Pakistan is the country, for which Muslims of Combined India served their bones as bricks and their blood as water, to set the bases for Pakistan.

Only those can judge the true value of this inestimable creation who himself has participated in building this country, and sacrificed his wife, children, sisters, brothers, and all his blood relations. To achieve this sacred land, millions of Muslims met martyrdom.

Countless children were killed in front of their mothers and lots of families were burnt inside their houses. Many virtuous women jumped into wells and canals and cast their lives just to build up Pakistan. Countless children got orphaned and missed their parents for whole their lives.

Valleys of Pakistan are containing congruences of paradise. Beautiful green landscapes and spacious farms are spitting the gold.

We also see that we are rich in every kind of freedom and facility but do not ever forget that in making this come true, there is part of the blood of Tipu Sultan, the vision of Sir Syed, and the thoughts of Allama Iqbal, untiring struggles of Quaid e Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and endeavors of many other companions of M. A. Jinnah. And everyone was aligned to achieve a single goal – a free and independent Islamic State: Pakistan.

14 AUGUST 1947 was the auspicious day of Islamic history when Pakistan, the God-Gifted country came into being.

The unity of Muslims and the dedication and heartiness of Quaid e Azam were the things that paved the way for the creation of this country. Hindus and Britishers deceitfully campaigned and created hindrances against the movement of Pakistan but Alhamdulillah Pakistan had to be done and It appeared on the map of the world. At that time, there was only one slogan of

Enemies vigorously ridiculed the demand of Quaid e Azam for a separate free land, though the demand of Pakistan was based on right, reality, and truth and right finally prevails. The reality, it couldn’t get acclaimed sooner or later, it is not a reality but if it does then that reality is a REALITY.

And all filthy intentions of enemies went in vain before the reality of Pakistan and today Pakistan is known as one of the great nations in the world.

My compatriots! We have to love Pakistan. We admire the founders and the dreamer and thinkers of Pakistan and we also pray for martyrs who lost their lives in the movement of Pakistan. Those who sacrificed their homes and families against British rulers.

They didn’t care for their children and accepted the hardships of prison. And finally when Muslims of South East Asia got freedom, right prevailed and falsehood surrendered. And the chains of slavery collapsed!

Nature has gifted Pakistan with every kind of wealth and blessing. We have an abundance of streams, rivers, and lakes which are irrigating our lands. We have skillful, lusty, and ambitious Pakistani youths. We have the best in the world Pakistani army and war strategists.

Wheat, cotton, oil, and rice, everything is grown in Pakistan and is exported as well. Pakistan has a rich depository of minerals such as salt, coal, kerosene oil, gypsum, and zamarud stones. Research work is in progress and Insha Allah there will be a day when we will also be self-sufficient in oil as well.

Pakistan is now taking part in international affairs and willing for friendship with its neighbor countries. Pakistan is seeking trading and cultural relationships with other countries.

Special settlements are being considered with Islamic countries, and Pakistan is eager to build relationships with any country that is endeavoring for peace and prosperity.

Pakistan believes in peace but still, it is our duty to hold enough strength for defending our motherland. By the grace of ALLAH, Pakistan is an atomic power today. May ALLAH make every Pakistani more loving of this country. AMEEN!

We were made politically paralyzed, and socially isolated, and every possible effort was made to make us comply with international dictations but we still survive. We have to identify and stand against all of those odds to make our country strong and superior.

Dear sir, It is quite disheartening to state that our land is facing numerous challenges. Poverty, terrorism, unemployment, youth frustrations, resource mismanagement, and corruption are to name a few. The challenges are unending. So it should be our strategy.

To our youth brothers and sisters sitting here, we have to work out against all of these challenges. Being guardians of freedom we are responsible for working for tomorrow.

The hard tasks always require great sacrifices. We have to stand against all of those big problems being faced by our motherland. Dear sir, given the enormous degree of challenges ahead, the things we need are unity, discipline, and faith. We have to preserve and propagate national integration throughout every corner of our country.

We have to stay disciplined in our efforts and struggles for the progress of our country. And the last thing that we need is to have firm faith in Almighty Allah. Surely, with all the efforts given, we shall stand victorious. This day comes every year to remind us of our true status, identity, prestige, and power. Today merely chanting slogans don’t suffice for us.

There lies a higher responsibility on our shoulders. We have to discharge our duties diligently in order to get rid of incessant crises and uncertainties.

Let’s help our brothers, our sisters, and help our countrymen selflessly. Let’s stand against, injustice, ignorance, anarchy, poverty, corruption, and unemployment. Let’s work, let’s unite, let’s turn into such a sublime and solid entity that should embitter and spoil every nefarious tactic of our faceless foes.

Pakistan Independence: Learning lesson from history

With 77 years down the road and people still looking for panacea to their hardships, the downtrodden are once again looking towards those in the helm of affairs to unveil some program for their overall socio-economic uplift.

When we ponder on philosophy of Allama Dr Muhammad Iqbal and wisdom of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, we feel we have not yet become a nation but a crowd running towards an unknown destination.

Peeping through the history, we find that during 800 years rule of British regime especially after failure of 1857 uprising, Muslims were increasingly marginalized, oppressed and deprived of fundamental rights and liberties in United India. They faced intellectual, political and educational decline under the British rule and relegated to status of rivals after East India Company overthrew the Mughal emperors as we feel today among the comity of nations. Then Sir Syed Ahmed Khan emerged on the horizon as a beacon of hope for Muslims as a prominent educationist and ignited quest for knowledge among Muslims by establishing educational institutes.

“Sir Syed Ahmed Khan led an intellectual revolution among Muslims through educational, political and social reforms. His efforts ensured political rehabilitation of Muslims and their social, economic, and educational advancement,” said Muhammad Younas Khan, Chairman Pakistan Studies Department, Islamia College, Peshawar.

Sir Syed established a modern school at Ali Garh for Muslim students that became a college in 1877 and then a university where Muslim students were imparted modern education. All India Muhammadan Educational Conference (AIMEC), founded in Aligarh in 1886, was Sir Syed’s vision for modern education, socio-economic empowerment and political unity among Muslims.

“Sir Syed’s reforms excelled Muslims in various fields whose strong voices, the British rulers also had to listen,” Younas noted and said prominent figures like Sardar Abdul Qayyum Khan, Abdur Rab Nishtar, Maulana Muhammad Ali Johar, Nawabzada Liaquat Ali Khan and Chaudhry Rehmat Ali also joined hands with Sir Syed for wellbeing of Muslims.

Dr Younas said the independence movement gained momentum with the establishment of All India Muslim League (AIML) on December 30, 1906 in Dhaka and its efforts resulted in right for Muslims to elect their representatives to Legislative Councils under 1909 Indian Legislative Act. In 1913, the Muslims demanded ‘appropriate self-government’ in India through a resolution supported by Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, who joined AIML in the same year after observing the Indian Congress’s insincerity towards Muslims.

From there onwards, after passing through different phases, the destination got clear after Dr. Allama Muhammad Iqbal’s historic 1930 address in Allahabad where he proposed a separate state for Muslims of India.

“Allama Iqbal articulated the two-nation theory, stressing a separate homeland for Muslims,” Dr. Younas said and explained that Pakistan Movement progressed significantly after Chaudhary Rehmat Ali proposed the name “Pakistan” in 1933. The name ‘Pakistan’ and Iqbal’s address set a clear direction for Muslims to achieve their goal.

The historic movement reached its zenith on March 23, 1940, when Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah led the passing of historic Pakistan Resolution in Lahore.

Thereafter, Quaid-e-Azam reorganized AIML on modern lines, visiting Muslim-majority provinces to gather support. His untiring efforts gained overwhelming support in the 1945-46 elections, where AIML won all reserved Muslim seats in central assembly and majority of provincial seats.

Following AIML’s success, Quaid-e-Azam insisted on Pakistan’s establishment before the Cabinet Mission of 1946 that eventually resulted in a partition plan proposed by Lord Mountbatten, announced on June 3, 1947.

It was only after a relentless struggle by Muslim leaders of India under the leadership of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah that Pakistan appeared on the world map on August 14, 1947 and the nation celebrates this day every year as ‘Independence Day.’

Certain internal and external factors also worked to arouse the national consciousness and national pride among the people, particularly certain impolite and autocratic steps taken by the Viceroy Lord Curzon. De Mello a writer of repute rightly wrote ‘Perhaps no single British administrator in India gave a greater impetus to the national movement than Lord Curzon with his ill-disguised contempt for the Indian National Congress’. In the meantime there rose up a band of extremists like Chandra Shekhar Azad, Sardar Bhagat Singh, Ashfaqullah, and some others who believed in the extreme way of the bomb with which movement the moderates did not agree. The extremists, though failed in their activities, still helped in arousing the sentiments of the masses. The Jalianawala massacre in 1919 added fuel to the fire. By this time Lai, Bal and Pal had left the scene and Mahatma Gandhi had taken up the leadership. The British government failed to satisfy the aspirations for full independence of the country but in spite of making efforts of some settlement, Gandhi turned from the path of cooperation and moderation to complete non-cooperation with the British Government. All efforts have failed Gandhi, was led to make the historic announcement of ‘Quit India’ movement in 1942 and gave the call for ‘Do or die’.
