কন্যাশ্রী প্রকল্পের মূল উদ্দেশ্য হল মেয়েদের আর্থিক সাহায্য প্রদানের মাধ্য়মে উচ্চ শিক্ষায় উন্নিত করা

অর্থনৈতিকভাবে অনগ্রসর শ্রেণীর অন্তর্ভুক্ত ১৩-১৮ বছর বয়সের মেয়েদের আর্থিক সহায়তা দেওয়ার জন্য পশ্চিমবঙ্গ সরকারের উদ্যোগে কন্যাশ্রী প্রকল্প চালু করা হয়েছে।

এই প্রকল্পটি পশ্চিমবঙ্গের মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দোপাধ্যায় ৮ ই মার্চ ২০১৩ সালে চালু করেছিলেন।এই প্রকল্পটি রাজ্যব্যাপী ইভেন্ট এবং সচেতনতামূলক কর্মসূচির মাধ্যমে ১৪ ই আগস্ট ২০১৩-এ প্রচারিত হয়েছিল।

এই প্রকল্পটির উদ্দেশ্য

কন্যাশ্রী প্রকল্পের   মূল উদ্দেশ্য হল মেয়েদের আর্থিক সাহায্য প্রদানের মাধ্য়মে উচ্চ শিক্ষায় উন্নিত করা। বাল্যবিবাহ নিয়ন্ত্রণের জন্য প্রাথমিকভাবে এই প্রকল্প চালু করা হয়েছে। এই উদ্দেশ্যে, পশ্চিমবঙ্গ সরকার বার্ষিক আর্থিক সহায়তা দিচ্ছে যদি কন্য়া সন্তানরা দ্বাদশ শ্রেণী পর্যন্ত পড়াশোনা চালিয়ে যেতে পারে। যাতে অভিভাবকরা তাদের মেয়েদের শিক্ষিত করতে এবং তাদের বিয়ে কমপক্ষে ১৮   বছর পর্যন্ত বিলম্বিত করতে অনুপ্রাণিত হয়।

Kanyashree Prakalpa  এর  Benefits:-

আবেদনকারীর বয়স অনুসারে Kanyashree এর কে মূলত তিন ভাগে ভাগ করা হয় যথা।

• K - 1 এর মাধ্যমে অষ্টম থেকে দ্বাদশ শ্রেণীর মধ্যে পাঠরত মেয়েরা বার্ষিক ৭৫০ টাকা করে পাবে।
• K-2 এর মাধ্যমে ১৮ বছরের উর্দ্ধে মেয়েরা এককালীন ২৫০০০ টাকা অনুদান পাবেন ।
• K - 3 এর মাধ্যমে   Post Graduation এ পাঠরত ছাত্রীরা প্রতিমাসে ২৫০০ টাকা পর্যন্ত অনুদান পাবেন।

Kanyashree K3 এর জন্য আবেদনের জন্য ভিসিট করুন   https://svmcm.wbhed.gov.in/  SVMCM এর অফিশিয়াল ওয়েবসাইট।

সর্বপ্রথম অফিশিয়াল ওয়েবসাইটে Registration করুন Registration সম্পন্ন হয়ে গেলে Kanyashree Prakalpa (K3) তে ক্লিক করুন।

যথাযথ তথ্য প্রদান করে Application Form পূরণ করুন এবং Submit করুন। সম্পূর্ণ Application Process সম্বন্ধে জানার জন্য নিম্নে প্রদান করা লিংকে ক্লিক করুন।

Kanyashree  K 1 Eligibility

আবেদনকারী শিক্ষার্থীকে অবশ্যই পশ্চিমবঙ্গের বাসিন্দা হতে হবে।

আবেদনকারীকে অবশ্যই অবিবাহিত হতে হবে।

আবেদনকারীর Family Income বার্ষিক ১ ,২০,০০০  এর বেশী হওয়া চলবে না ।

আবেদনকারী ছাত্রীর বয়স হতে হবে ১৩ থেকে ১৭ এর মধ্যে হতে হবে।

আবেদনকারীর বয়স ১৮  এর বেশি হওয়া উচিত নয় । যদি আবেদনকারীর বয়স ১৮  এর বেশী হয় তাহলে তিনি আর কোন বার্ষিক বৃত্তি সুবিধা পাবেন না , শুধুমাত্র এককালীন অর্থের সুবিধা পাবেন সেক্ষেত্রে।

মহিলা শিক্ষার্থীকে অবশ্যই সরকার স্বীকৃত নিয়মিত বা সমমানের স্কুলে বা সমমানের বৃত্তিমূলক বা অন্য কোনও প্রযুক্তিগত প্রশিক্ষণ কোর্সে ৮ থেকে ১২ তম শ্রেণির মধ্যে নথিভুক্ত হতে হবে।

Kanyashree  K 2 Eligibility

আবেদনকারীকে অবশ্যই অবিবাহিত হতে হবে18 বছর বয়স পর্যন্ত।

আবেদনকারীর Family Income বার্ষিক ১ , ২০ , ০০০ এর বেশী হওয়া চলবে না।

মহিলা শিক্ষার্থীকে উচ্চশিক্ষার জন্য সরকার স্বীকৃত বোর্ড থেকে Regular Course এ ভর্তি হতে হবে।

Kanyashree  K 3  Eligibility

Kanyashree K2 এর জন্য Register আবেদনকারীরা শুধুমাত্র আবেদন করতে পারবেন। K3 এর জন্য।

K3 এর আবেদনের জন্য নির্দিষ্ট কোন বয়সের সিমা নেই।

শিক্ষার্থীকে অবশ্যই ৪৫% সহকারে Undergraduate Degree পাশ হতে হবে।

সরকার কর্তৃক স্বীকৃত বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় থেকে Post Graduation এর জন্য ভর্তি হতে হবে।

About the Scheme

Components of the Scheme

• Annual Scholarship of Rs. 500/-(Rupees Five hundred only)
• One time Grant of Rs. 25,000/-(Rupees Twenty-five thousand only)

The Annual Scholarship is for unmarried girls aged 13-18 years enrolled in classes VIII-XII in government recognized regular or equivalent open school or equivalent vocational/technical training course.

The One-time Grant is for girls turned 18 at the time of application, enrolled in government recognized regular or open school/college or pursuing vocational/technical training or sports activity or is an inmate of Home registered under J.J. Act 2000

Both the benefits under the scheme will be granted to girls who belong to families with annual family income not more than Rs. 1, 20,000/- (Rupees One Lakh and twenty thousand only. The bar for family is not applicable if the girl has lost both parents, is physically challenged (40% disability) or is inmate of J.J. Home.

Given that child marriage has a grossly negative impact on the lives of children, adolescents and young women, this scheme is expected to bring about improved outcomes in terms of their educational status, health (especially facilitate the prevention of infant and maternal mortality) and contribute towards the empowerment of the girls in the State, and bring immeasurable benefits for the larger society as a whole.

Target Beneficiary

• All girl children within the age of 13 to 19 years from families with annual income up to Rs 120000/-
• Girls regularly attending institutions for education or vocational/sports training
• Girls of Child Care Institutes registered under J.J. Act within the age of 18-19 years
• For the one-time grant, girls who are completing 18 years on or after 1st April 2013
• Approximately 18 Lakhs girl students for annual scholarship each year
• Approximately 3.5 Lakhs girls for one time grant each year

কন্যাশ্রী প্রকল্প পশ্চিমবঙ্গ সরকার তথা মাননীয়া মুখ্যমন্ত্রী শ্রীমতি মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়ের আরেকটি সফল উদ্যোগ যা অর্থনৈতিকভাবে পিছিয়ে থাকা পরিবারগুলিকে নগদ সহায়তার মধ্যে দিয়ে মেয়েদের জীবন ও অবস্থার উন্নয়নের ধারা বজায় রাখার কথা চিন্তা করে, যাতে অর্থনৈতিক প্রতিকূলতার কারণবশত কোনো পরিবার আঠারো বৎসর বয়সের আগে নিজেদের কন্যা সন্তানের বিয়ের ব্যবস্থা করার জন্য সচেষ্ট না হন । এই প্রকল্পের অন্যতম উদ্দেশ্য হল, অর্থনৈতিক দিক দিয়ে পিছিয়ে পড়া গরিব এবং দুঃস্থ মেয়েদের উচ্চ শিক্ষার সুবিধা প্রদান করা।

কন্যাশ্রী প্রকল্পের যাত্রা শুরু হয়েছিল ২০১৩ সালে অক্টোবর মাসে যেখানে ঘোষণা করা হয়েছিল  যে ৯ লক্ষের বেশি ছাত্রীরা ১০ ম শ্রেণীর গণ্ডি পেরিয়ে উচ্চ স্তরে শিক্ষা অর্জনের জন্য আর্থিক সুযোগ সুবিধা লাভ করতে সক্ষম হবে ।

• প্রকল্পের জন্য বরাদ্দ অর্থ:

২০১৩- ২০১৪ সালে কন্যাশ্রী প্রকল্পের জন্য রাজ্য সরকার যে অর্থ বরাদ্দ করেছিলেন তা হল ২৮৭ কোটি টাকা।  অর্থিক ভাবে পিছিয়ে পড়া পরিবারের কন্যাদের পরিবর্তে বর্তমানকালে সকল পড়ুয়ারাই এই আর্থিক সুবিধা পাবে; এই সিদ্ধান্ত নেওয়া হয়ে থাকে।

• কন্যাশ্রী প্রকল্পের উদ্দেশ্য | Purpose of Kanyashree
• শিক্ষা প্রশিক্ষণ দেওয়ার ক্ষেত্রে বালিকাদের তালিকাভুক্তি বৃদ্ধি করে পশ্চিমবঙ্গে বাল্য বিবাহ রোধ করা।
• নারী শিক্ষার অগ্রসর ঘটানো।
• শিক্ষার্থীরা যাতে দীর্ঘ সময় ধরে তাদের পড়াশোনা চালিয়ে যেতে পারে সে বিষয়ে সহায়তা করা।
• উচ্চতর পড়াশোনা করার ক্ষেত্রে আর্থিক সহায়তা প্রদান করা।
• মেয়েদের উচ্চ শিক্ষা প্রদান করাই হলো এর মূল উদ্দেশ্য ।

সেইসব শিক্ষায় যুক্ত অবিবাহিত মেয়েরা বার্ষিক  K1 Prakalpa এর সুবিধা পাবে যারা ২০১৩ সাল থেকে ১৩ থেকে ১৮ বছরের মধ্যে পড়ে ।। কন্যাশ্রী প্রকল্প K1 এ স্কুলের মেয়েদের আর্থিক সমস্ত সুবিধা প্রদান করা হবে রাজ্য সরকরের তরফ থেকে ।উক্ত প্রকল্পে সম্ভবত বার্ষিক ৭৫০ টাকা প্রদান করা হয়।

• কন্যাশ্রী প্রকল্প ২ এর সুবিধা | K2

অবিবাহিত পড়ুয়া কন্যারা যারা ১৮ থেকে ১৯ বছরের মধ্যে তারা উক্ত প্রকল্পের আর্থিক সুবিধা লাভ করতে সক্ষম । 'কন্যাশ্রী প্রকল্প ২' তে রাজ্য সরকার এককালীন ২৫০০০ স্কলারশিপ প্রদান করবে ।

• কন্যাশ্রী প্রকল্প ৩ সুবিধা | K3

মাননীয়া মুখ্যমন্ত্রীর ঘোষণা অনুযায়ী স্কুল–কলেজের পাশাপাশি বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়তে যারা অধ্যয়ন করতে চান তারা কন্যাশ্রী ৩ প্রকল্পের সাথে যুক্ত হতে পারবেন।  পড়ুয়ারা বিজ্ঞান নিয়ে অধ্যয়ন করে 45% নম্বর পেয়ে থাকলে ২৫০০ টাকা করে আর্থিক সুবিধা পাবে আর যারা কলা বিভাগে পড়তে চায়, তাদের দেওয়া হবে ২০০০০ টাকা করে  আর্থিক অনুদান।

রাজ্যের মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় এও জানিয়েছেন যে ভবিষ্যতে এ রাজ্যে Kanyashree University গড়ার পরিকল্পনা করা হয়। কলেজের গণ্ডি অতিক্রম করার পর আর্থিক অনটনের কারণে নারীদের যাতে বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় তে অধ্যয়ন করতে অসুবিধে না হয় সেজন্যই এই পরিকল্পনার সিদ্ধান্ত গ্রহণ করেছেন রাজ্য সরকার ।

সরকার উদ্যোগ নিয়ে কন্যাশ্রী প্রকল্পের কথা ঘরে ঘরে পৌঁছে দিয়েছে যার ফলে জনপ্রিয় এই প্রকল্পটি একটি বয়স পর্যন্ত ছাত্রীদের পড়াশোনায় উৎসাহ প্রদানের ক্ষেত্রে খুবই সহায়ক।

• কন্যাশ্রী ১ প্রকল্পের জন্য যোগ্যতা | Eligibility for K1
• ১৩ থেকে ১৮ বছর বয়সের অবিবাহিত মেয়েদের পড়াশোনায় বাবদ বছরে ১০০০ টাকা ও ১৮ বছরের পর অবিবাহিত মেয়েদের পড়াশোনা বা অন্য কোনও জীবিকায় যুক্ত হওয়ার জন্য এককালীন ২৫০০০ টাকা প্রদান করার ব্যবস্থা করা হয়েছে এই প্রকল্পে। নারীশিক্ষার অগ্রগতি ক্ষেত্রে এটি একটি উল্লেখযোগ্য পদক্ষেপ।
• যদি কারো পরিবারের বার্ষিক আয় হয় এক লক্ষ কুড়ি হাজার টাকা, তাহলে তিনি এই প্রকল্পের জন্য নিজের নাম নথিভুক্ত করতে পারেন তবে কন্যাকে স্কুল পড়ুয়া হতে হবে।
• শিক্ষার্থীকে পশ্চিমবঙ্গের বাসিন্দা হতে হবে।
• রাজ্যের অষ্টম ‐ দ্বাদশ শ্রেণির শিক্ষার্থীরা এই বৃত্তির জন্য যোগ্য।
• কন্যাশ্রী ২ প্রকল্পের জন্য যোগ্যতা | Eligibility for K2

এই প্রকল্পের জন্য আবেদন করতে হলে আবেদনকারীর বয়স হতে হবে ১ এপ্রিল ২০১৩ সাল বা তার পরে ১৮ বছর কিন্তু ১৯ বছরের মধ্যে থাকা বাঞ্ছনীয় এবং তাকে অবিবাহিত হতে হবে।

• কন্যাশ্রী ৩ প্রকল্পের জন্য যোগ্যতা | Eligibility for K3
• যে শিক্ষার্থী উচ্চ শিক্ষার জন্য ইচ্ছুক তারা এই প্রকল্পের যোগ্য।
• শিক্ষার্থীদের কমপক্ষে ৪৫ শতাংশ নম্বর সহ স্নাতক ডিগ্রি পাস করতে হবে এবং যে কোনও বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের অধীনে স্নাতকোত্তর কোর্সে ভর্তি হতে হবে।
• "কন্যাশ্রী কে 3" প্রকাল্পের আবেদনের জন্য কোনও সর্বাধিক বয়সের সীমা ধার্য করা নেই।
• কন্যাশ্রী প্রকল্পের জন্য কিভাবে আবেদন করা যাবে | How to apply for Kanyashree project?

কন্যাশ্রী প্রকল্পে আবেদন করার জন্য শিক্ষার্থীকে স্কুল থেকে ফর্ম সংগ্রহ করতে হবে। রাজ্যে যে কোনো মেয়েদের সরকারী স্কুলেই কন্যাশ্রীর জন্য ফর্ম পাওয়া যায়। ১৮ বছর বয়স পর্যন্ত বার্ষিক অর্থ পাওয়ার প্রকল্পটিকে বলা হয়– ‘কে ওয়ান’ ; এবং ১৮ বছর বয়সের মেয়েদের এককালীন টাকা পাওয়ার প্রকল্পটিকে ‘কে টু’ (K-2) বলে অভিহিত করা হয়ে থাকে। দুটির ক্ষেত্রেই আলাদা করে রঙিন ফর্ম সরকারের তরফ থেকে স্কুলগুলিতে দেওয়া হয়ে থাকে। তবে, শিক্ষার্থী যদি এর মধ্যেই কে ওয়ানের জন্য আবেদন করা থাকে, তাহলে তাকে 'কে টু-'র জন্য আলাদা করে ফর্ম নেওয়ার আর প্রয়োজন পড়বে না। এই ফর্মটি সংগ্রহ করে শিক্ষার্থীকে সেটিকে প্রয়োজনীয় সবরকম তথ্য দিয়ে ভর্তি করে ফেলতে হবে।

শিক্ষার্থীকে প্রয়োজনীয় তথ্য প্রধান করে সঠিক ভাবে যেমন ফর্ম ফিল আপ করতে হবে তার পাশাপাশি ব্যাঙ্কে একটি অ্যাকাউন্ট অবশ্যই তাকে খুলে রাখতে হবে। রাজ্য সরকারের তরফ থেকে কন্যাশ্রী প্রকল্পের টাকা সরাসরি পড়ুয়ার অ্যাকাউন্টে দেওয়া হবে। ব্যাঙ্কে অ্যাকাউন্ট খোলা নিয়ে কোনও রকম অসুবিধা হলে রাজ্য সরকার স্কুলকে সবরকম সাহায্য করার নির্দেশ দিয়েছে।শিক্ষার্থীকে ফর্মটি সচেতনভাবে ফিল আপ করতে হবে।

• শিক্ষার্থী যখন ফর্মটি ফিল আপ করবে সে সময়ে যে বিষয়গুলি সম্পর্কে তাকে সতর্ক থাকতে হবে, সেগুলি হল-
• নামের বানান সঠিক থাকতে হবে।
• মোবাইল নম্বর সঠিক থাকা বাঞ্ছনীয় । উক্ত প্রকল্প সম্পর্কিত যাবতীয় তথ্য প্রদেয় মোবাইল নম্বরে এস.এম.এস. মারফত শিক্ষার্থী কে জানানো হবে।
• ব্যাঙ্ক অ্যাকাউন্টের নম্বর সঠিক থাকা প্রয়োজনীয়।
• ফর্মের এক, দুই ও তিন নম্বর পৃষ্ঠায় নীচের দিকে আবেদনকারীর হস্তাক্ষরে সই থাকতে হবে।
• নথিগুলি জমা দেওয়ার সময় উক্ত প্রমাণপত্রগুলি সঙ্গে রাখতে হবে।
• পরবর্তী পদক্ষেপে যখন আবেদনকারী ফর্মটি ভর্তি করার পর যখন জমা দেবে সেই সময় নিম্নলিখিত ডকুমেন্টগুলির ফটোকপি অবশ্যই সাথে রাখতে হবে-
• আবেদনকারীর জন্মের প্রমাণপত্র বা বার্থ সার্টিফিকেট।
• আবেদনকারী যে অবিবাহিতা, সেই ব্যাপারে একটি বিবৃতি বা প্রমাণপত্র পেশ করতে হবে আবেদনকারীর বাবা বা মা অথবা অভিভাবকের তরফ থেকে ।
• যে আবেদন করছে তার ব্যাঙ্কের পাসবইয়ের প্রথম পৃষ্ঠার ফটোকপি লাগবে।
• ইনকাম সার্টিফিকেট এর প্রয়োজন হবে এই প্রমাণ করতে যে আবেদনকারীর পারিবারিক আয় বছরে এক লক্ষ কুড়ি হাজার টাকার বেশী নয়।

আবেদনকারী যদি ৪০ শতাংশ শারীরিক প্রতিবন্ধী হন অথবা যদি তাঁর মা বা বাবার কেউই বর্তমান না থাকেন, সে ক্ষেত্রে আবেদনকারীর ইনকাম সার্টিফিকেটের পরিবর্তে যে ফটোকপিগুলি দাখিল করতে হবে সেগুলি হল-

• আবেদনকারী শারীরিক প্রতিবন্ধী হলে তার সার্টিফিকেট।
• আবেদনকারীর পিতা মাতা যদি অবর্তমান হন তাহলে তাদের মৃত্যুর প্রমাণপত্রসহ আবেদনকারীর আইনত অভিভাবকের বিষয়টি জানিয়ে একটি বিবৃতি পেশ করতে হবে।

Kanyashree 2024 is an innovative scholarship programme started by the West Bengal Government to help female students financially in the field of education. Initially, this scholarship programme was available only for school and college students. However, in the year 2017 , this scheme was extended to Postgraduate courses as well. 

Kanyashree Prakalpa Scholarship provides secondary education or vocational or sports training to girls from financially backward families to prevent and discourage their early marriages before 18 years of age. This scholarship programme offers an annual scholarship to girls between the ages of 13 to 18 each year, ensuring that the girls complete their education.

Kanyashree Prakalpa Scheme is an initiative launched by the Department of Women Development and Social Welfare (DWD&SW), Government of West Bengal. It is a conditional cash transfer scheme , which aims at improving the status and wellbeing of female students. Besides, it also encourages families of girl children not to marry them off at a tender age and support them in higher education. Being a West Bengal government-sponsored scheme , it is implemented in all districts of the State.

There are several scholarship programmes under the Department of Women’s Development and Social Welfare. However, the West Bengal Government has chosen to set up the Kanyashree scholarship so that female students can avail financial benefits from the State government to continue their studies.

Besides this reason, there are several other reasons why the Kanyashree scholarship programme was created. 

This scholarship –  

• helps female students to continue their education for a long period of time
• encourages the delay of girl marriages 
• prevents child marriage in West Bengal by increasing the enrolment of girls in secondary education or vocational or sports training
• reduces dropouts, especially among girls from poor families, who are not covered by any other scholarship
• provides financial help to girls from disadvantaged families to pursue higher studies

Who are the target beneficiaries?

• Approximately 3.5 lakh girls for one time grant each year in West Bengal
• For the one-time grant, girls who are completing 18 years on or after 1st April 2021
• Girls regularly attend institutions for education or vocational/sports training
• Approximately 18 lakh female students for an annual scholarship each year
• Girl children between the age of 13 to 19 years from families with annual incomes up to INR 1.2 lakh
• Girls of Child Care Institutes registered under the J.J. Act between the age of 18-19 years

Kanyashree – 3 Types of Schemes

Through the Kanyashree Scholarship 2021 scheme, the Department of Women Development and Social Welfare is providing students with 3 government scholarship schemes namely – 

1. Annual Scholarship (K1)

Under this scheme, female students between the age of 13 and 17 years 11 months will be provided with a scholarship every year. This is a State Government initiative and a method to ensure that the girls remain unmarried and study in school until they reach the legal marriage age.

2. One-time Grant (K2)

Under this scheme, female students between the age of 18 and 19 will be provided with a one-time grant (financial funding).

3. Kanyashree Scholarship (K3)

Under this scholarship scheme, female students from both Arts and Science backgrounds can avail financial hevery monthasis.

Kanyashree – Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria are different for different types of Kanyashree scholarships. Students have to apply for the scholarships as per their age.

Annual scholarship (K1 Level)

1. The student applying for this scholarship must be a domicile of West Bengal .

2. She should be unmarried .

3. Students’ family income should be less than or equal to INR 1.2 lakh per year.

4. The student should be between 13 and 17 years of age.

5. The female student must not turn 18 as this would make her ineligible for yearly scholarship benefits, and she would only be able to get a one-time benefit.

6. The female student must be enrolled between class 8 to 12 th standard in Government recognised regular or equivalent school or equivalent vocational or any other technical training courses.

7. The family income limit will be varied under the following situations:

• The student is already a recipient of the scholarship and will be applying for a renewal of the  benefit
• The student’s parents (both father & mother) are deceased .
• The student is physically handicapped .

One-Time Grant (K2 Level)

1. The student applying for this scholarship must be a domicile of West Bengal.

2. She should be unmarried upon attaining the age of 18.

3. Students’ family income should be less than or equal to INR 1.20 lakh per year.

4. The applicant female student should be enrolled and regularly attending an Institution of Higher Education or Training.

5. The female applicant’s family income criteria can be varied only under the following cases:

Kanyashree Scholarship (K3 Level)

• Only the students registered for the K2 scheme would be eligible for the K3 scheme .
• There is no maximum age limit to apply.
• The student must have passed an undergraduate degree with at least 45% marks .
• They must have secured admission to any postgraduate course at any University.

Kanyashree – Application Procedure

Before eligible students can apply for the Kanyashree Prakalpa scheme, they need to open a bank account in their name. This process can be either done by the parents of the girl or the institution can also lend their assistance. 

To continue with the application process, students must follow the below steps:

For K1 and K2 Level Scholarship

1. Collect application forms from respective educational institutions

2. Enter the following details to get the scholarship

• Personal Details
• Educational Institution Address

3. After filling in the information, sign the application form and get it signed by parents. Apply  along with documents (highlighted below) to the respective educational institution

5. Take it to the Head of the Department , who will verify the details furnished by the students and put an official stamp

6. Take the acknowledgement slip and keep the application number for future reference

7. After successful submission of the application form, the details will be uploaded on the official webpage of Kanyashree

For K3 Level

Step 1 – registration .

1. Visit the official Kanyashree K3 Scholarship 2021 Application Portal ( http://www.svmcm.wbhed.gov.in/ ) 

2. Click on Registration

3. Scroll down the page and tick the checkbox ‘This is to declare that I have read the instructions properly and I agree to abide by them. ’

4. Click on the Proceed for Registration  option.

5. A popup will appear requesting the minority students applying for fresh scholarships or renewal to apply in the following Portal.

6. Click on the Close  button.

Step 2 – Add Details

• Navigate to the option DIRECTORATE OF PUBLIC INSTRUCTION (DPI) and click on Apply on Fresh Application
• Select and fill in the following details:

• Name of qualifying public examination
• Roll Number of last eligible Board/Council/College/University examination for Scholarship
• Total marks obtained(Excluding additional or optional marks)

3. Click on the Register tab

Step 3 – Login

• After successful registration, an Applicant ID will be generated
• Click on the Login tab by visiting the website  
• Enthe ter applicant ID and password
• Click Submit

Step 4 – Add Details and Upload Photograph & Signature

• After logging in, a dashboard will be opened
• Click on Edit Profile/Application tab
• Fill out the application form with basic details, qualifying exams, present course, address of the present institution
• Upload scanned photograph and signature
• Click on Save & Continue  

Step 5 – Add Bank Details

• Submit bank details with the name of the Bank, IFSC Code, Branch Code, Account Number, and MICR Code.

Step 6 – Upload Documents

• Interested students need to upload the scanned documents (highlighted below) to the online Application Portal
• Documents must be uploaded in PDF Format

Step 7 – Application Submission

• Click on Submit Application tab after uploading the required documents
• Check the uploaded information before clicking on Finalize Application tab
• After clicking the button, the female student cannot edit any info
• Now applicants can check their Application Status on the Dashboard

How to Track Kanyashree Application Status?

To track the Scholarship Online Application Form, the student must follow the below steps:

1. Visit the official website of Kanyashree Prakalpa

2. Click on the Track Application option on the main page

3. Select the year and the type of scheme from the drop-down menu

4. Enter the Date of Birth, Application ID and the CAPTCHA image

5. Click on the Submit

6. The student will be able to see the Kanyashree Prakalpa application status.

Renewal of Kanyashree Prakalpa Scholarship 2022

In case a student wants to renew her scholarship, the process remains the same as that for new students. She must upload all the documents. However, there is no requirement for an income certificate for the Kanyashree Scheme application renewal.

পশ্চিমবঙ্গ সরকারের একটি অসাধারণ উদ্যোগ হল West Bengal Kanyashree Prakalpa Scheme । সরকারের এই উদ্যোগের মাধ্যমে রাজ্যের আর্থিকভাবে দুর্বল ও পিছিয়ে পড়া পরিবারের মেয়েরা এই প্রকল্পের আওতায় আসবে এবং তাদের পড়াশোনার জন্য সরকারের কাছ থেকে আর্থিক সাহায্য পাবে। তবে অবশ্যই এক্ষেত্রে মেয়েদেরকে অবিবাহিত হতে হবে।

এর ফলে থেকে আমরা স্পষ্ট বুঝতে পারি যে কন্যাশ্রী প্রকল্পের মাধ্যমে পশ্চিমবঙ্গ সরকার আসলে মেয়েদের শিক্ষায় স্বাবলম্বী করবার কথা ভেবেছে। কন্যাশ্রী পরিকল্পনা প্রকল্পের মাধ্যমে, সরকার মেয়েদের শিক্ষা ব্যবস্থাকে এগিয়ে নিতে চায় এবং তার পাশাপাশি মেয়েদের অল্প বয়সে বিবাহ বিলম্বিত করতে পারে। এই স্কিমটি প্রাথমিকভাবে বাল্যবিবাহ নিয়ন্ত্রণের জন্য চালু করা হয়েছে।

আপনারা যদি কন্যাশ্রী প্রকল্পে আবেদন করতে ইচ্ছুক হন এবং এই প্রকল্পের অধীনে সমস্ত সুবিধাগুলি নিতে চান তাহলে আবেদনকারীকে নিচের দেওয়া Eligibility বা সরকারি নির্দেশিকা গুলিকে পূরণ করা আবশ্যক।

• আবেদনকারীকে একজন মহিলা হতে হবে।
• আবেদনকারিনী মহিলাকে পশ্চিমবঙ্গের স্থায়ী বাসিন্দা হওয়া প্রয়োজন।
• ১৩ থেকে ১৮ বছরের মহিলা এই প্রকল্পের আবেদন যোগ্য।
• আবেদন করবার সময় মহিলা টিকে অবিবাহিত হতে হবে।

Kanyashree K1 Eligibility

• আবেদনকারীকে West Bengal-এর বাসিন্দা হতে হবে।
• কন্যাশ্রী k1 প্রকল্পে আবেদনের জন্য আবেদনকারী বয়স 13 থেকে 18 বছরের মধ্যে হতে হবে।
• Municipal or Panchayat দ্বারা জারিকৃত জন্ম সার্টিফিকেট।
• আবেদনকারী ছাত্রীকে অবশ্যই Unmarried বা অবিবাহিত হতে হবে এবং পিতামাতা/অভিভাবকের দ্বারা এই মর্মাহিতে একটি ঘোষণা শংসাপত্র।
• আবেদনকারী West Bengal-এর যেকোন শিক্ষা প্রতিষ্ঠানে অষ্টম থেকে দ্বাদশ শ্রেণী পর্যন্ত পাঠরত ছাত্রীরা Kanyashree K1 এর জন্য আবেদন করতে পারবেন।
• পারিবারিক বাৎসরিক আয় 1,20,000/- এর বেশি যেন না হয়।
• এই প্রকল্পে শুধু মাত্র একজন মহিলা আবেদন যোগ্য।

Kanyashree K2 Eligibility

• কন্যাশ্রী K2 প্রকল্পে আবেদনের জন্য আবেদনকারী বয়স 18 থেকে 19 বছরের মধ্যে হতে হবে।
• আবেদনকারী West Bengal-এর যেকোন শিক্ষা প্রতিষ্ঠানে কলেজ বা সমমানের বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় কোর্সে পাঠরত ছাত্রীরা Kanyashree K2 এর জন্য যোগ্য।

Kanyashree Scheme Amount

WB কন্যাশ্রী প্রকল্পের অধীনে দুটি ধরণের বৃত্তি প্রদান করা হয় যা নিম্নরূপ:

Kanyashree K1 Amount

13 থেকে 18 বছর বয়সী এবং অষ্টম থেকে দ্বাদশ শ্রেনী পাঠরত মেয়েদেরকে Kanyashree K1 -এ আবেদন করতে হয় এবং তাদের জন্য বার্ষিক 750 টাকা বৃত্তি প্রদান করা হয়। অবশ্য এই পাঠরত সময়ে অবিবাহিত থাকতে হবে।

Kanyashree K2 Amount

18 বছর পূর্ণ হলে মেয়েদের কে Kanyashree K2 -এর জন্য আবেদন করতে হয় এবং একালীন 25000 টাকা তাদেরকে বৃত্তি প্রদান করা হয়। আবেদন করবার সময় শর্ত থাকে যে সে তাকে West Bengal -এর যে কোন কলেজ বা সমতুল্য একাডেমিতে পাঠরত করতে হবে এবং তার সঙ্গে তাকে সেই সময় অবিবাহিত থাকতে হবে।

মুখ্যমন্ত্রী ঘোষণা করেন, স্কুল–কলেজের পাশাপাশি University তে যারা পড়তে চান তারা এই k3 Prakalpa এর নিযুক্ত হতে পারবে।  Science নিয়ে 45% নম্বর পেয়ে থাকলে ২৫০০ টাকা করে আর্থিক সুবিধা পাবেন এবং যারা Arts section এ পড়তে চায়, তাদের দেওয়া হবে ২০০০০ টাকা আর্থিক অনুদান।

ভবিষ্যতে রাজ্যে Kanyashree University গড়ার পরিকল্পনা করছেন বলে জানিয়েছেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা ব্যানার্জি। কলেজের গণ্ডি পার করে আর্থিক অভাবের কারণে যাতে মেয়েদের University তে পড়তে অসুবিধা না হয়, তার জন্যই এই পরিকল্পনার সিধান্ত গ্রহণ।

ভূমিকা: গণতান্ত্রিক রাষ্ট্রব্যবস্থার মূল লক্ষ্যই হল প্রজাকল্যাণসাধন । সমাজে আর্থিক বৈষম্য দূর করা, শিক্ষা এবং খাদ্য-বস্ত্র-বাসস্থানের অধিকারকে নিশ্চিত করা রাষ্ট্রের দায়িত্ব। সরকারের পরিকল্পনা তৈরি হয় এইসব উদ্দেশ্যকে সামনে রেখেই। ২০১৩ খ্রিস্টাব্দে প্রবর্তিত ‘কন্যাশ্রী প্রকল্প’ এই উদ্দেশ্যসাধনে পশ্চিমবঙ্গ সরকারের এক যুগান্তকারী পদক্ষেপ।

প্রেক্ষাপট : ‘কন্যাশ্রী প্রকল্পের প্রেক্ষাপটে রয়েছে সামাজিক বৈষম্য ও বঞ্চনার এক করুণ ইতিহাস। ২০১১-র জনগণনায় দেখা গিয়েছে যে পশ্চিমবাংলায় বয়ঃসন্ধিকালীন কিশোর-কিশোরীর মোট জনসংখ্যা ১ কোটি ৭৩ লক্ষ। এর মধ্যে ৪৮.১১ শতাংশই হচ্ছে মেয়ে। আবার পশ্চিমবাংলার মোট জনসংখ্যার ৯.৩ শতাংশ হচ্ছে ১০ থেকে ১৪ বছর বয়সি মেয়ে, আর ১৫ থেকে ১৯ বছর বয়সি মেয়েদের ক্ষেত্রে এই পরিমাণ ৯.৫ শতাংশ। কিন্তু এই যে বিপুল নারীশক্তি, তাদের জীবনবিকাশের পথ কিন্তু একেবারেই মসৃণ নয়। দারিদ্র্য, অশিক্ষা, কুসংস্কার এবং লিঙ্গগত বৈষম্যের শিকার হয়েই এদের বিরাট অংশকে জীবন কাটাতে হয়, অনেকেই হারিয়ে যায় সমাজের অন্ধকারে। ২০০৭-০৮-এর সমীক্ষায় শিশু বা অপ্রাপ্তবয়স্ক মেয়েদের বিয়ের নিরিখে ভারতের মধ্যে পশ্চিমবাংলার স্থান পঞ্চম। পরিসংখ্যান অনুসারে ১৮ বছরের কম বয়সি মেয়েদের মধ্যে ৫৪.৭ শতাংশই দ্রুত বিবাহের শিকার। গ্রামীণ এলাকায় সংখ্যাটা আরও বেশি—৫৭.৯ শতাংশ। এই দ্রুতবিবাহের ফলে একদিকে যেমন এইসব মেয়েরা শিক্ষার অধিকার থেকে বঞ্চিত হয়, তেমনই তারা নানারকম অপুষ্টির শিকার হয়, যা পরবর্তী প্রজন্মকেও প্রভাবিত করে। বাল্যবিবাহ, নারীপাচারের মতো ঘটনাও বাড়িয়ে তোলে। মেয়েদের এই দুর্দশা সামাজিক প্রগতির পথে বাধা হয়ে দাঁড়ায়। অবস্থা কতটা শোচনীয় তা স্পষ্ট হয় যখন পরিসংখ্যানে দেখা যায় স্কুলছুটদের ৬৩.৫ শতাংশই হল মেয়ে। সমাজের দুর্বল, পিছিয়ে পড়া এবং হতাশার অন্ধকারে ডুবে যাওয়া এইসব মেয়েদের আলোর পথে ফিরিয়ে আনার জন্যই ২০১৩ খ্রিস্টাব্দে পশ্চিমবঙ্গ সরকার চালু করে কন্যাশ্রী প্রকল্প, যার ঘোষিত উদ্দেশ্য সম্পর্কে বলা হয়- “To reduce dropout rate and prevent early marriage”

প্রকল্পের রূপরেখা: ১০ থেকে ১৮ বছর বয়স এই সময়কালকে বিশ্ব স্বাস্থ্যসংস্থা বলেছে মানুষের জীবনগঠনের কাল। কন্যাশ্রী প্রকল্পের ভাবনাও এই বয়সকে পরিচর্যা করার জন্যই। নারী এবং সমাজকল্যাণ মন্ত্রক জানিয়েছে যে, যেসব মেয়েদের পরিবারের বার্ষিক আয় ১ লক্ষ ২০ হাজার টাকা বা তার কম, তারা বছরে ৫০০ টাকা করে আর্থিক সাহায্য পাবে এবং ১৮ বছর অবধি পড়া চালিয়ে গেলে ১৮ বছর বয়সে তাদের ব্যাংক অ্যাকাউন্টে সরকার এককালীন ২৫ হাজার টাকা প্রদান করবে। ২০১৫ খ্রিস্টাব্দের রাজ্য বাজেটে এই বৃত্তির পরিমাণ ৫০০ টাকা থেকে বাড়িয়ে ৭৫০ টাকা করা হয়েছে। এই প্রকল্পের জন্য ২০১৩-১৪ আর্থিক বছরে যেখানে ২৮৭ কোটি টাকা বরাদ্দ হয়েছিল ২০১৫-১৬-তে তা বেড়ে হয়েছে ৮৫০ কোটি। ভারতের মতো উন্নয়নশীল দেশ, যেখানে দারিদ্র্যসীমার নীচে বসবাস করা মানুষের সংখ্যা আজও যথেষ্ট, সেখানে মেয়েদের সামাজিক সুরক্ষায় এই প্রকল্প যে যথেষ্ট কার্যকরী তা বলাই বাহুল্য। কন্যাশ্রীর উদ্দেশ্য হল কন্যাসন্তানকে উচ্চমাধ্যমিক স্তর পর্যন্ত প্রথাগত বা কারিগরি শিক্ষায় শিক্ষিত করে সম্মানজনক পেশায় প্রতিষ্ঠিত করা, অন্তত ১৮ বছর বয়স পর্যন্ত তাদের বিবাহকে বিলম্বিত করা এবং তার আত্মবিশ্বাস ও সামাজিক মর্যাদাবোধ জাগিয়ে তোলা। সরকারি তথ্য অনুসারে প্রায় ৪১ লক্ষেরও বেশি মেয়ে ইতিমধ্যেই এর দ্বারা উপকৃত।

What is the objective of the Kanyashree Prakalpa Scheme?

Kanyashree Prakalpa seeks to improve the status and well-being of girls, specifically those from socio-economically disadvantaged families through Conditional Cash Transfers by Incentivizing them to continue in education for a longer period, and complete secondary or higher secondary education, or equivalent in technical or vocational steams, thereby giving them a better footing in both the economic and social spheres. Disincentivizing marriage till at least the age of 18, the legal age of marriage, thereby reducing the risks of early pregnancies, associated risks of maternal and child mortality, and other debilitating health conditions, including that malnutrition. It was also decided that the Scheme should confer more than just monetary support; it should be a means of financial inclusion and a tool of empowerment for adolescent girls. The scheme's benefits are therefore paid directly to bank accounts in the girls' names, leaving the decision of utilization of the money in their hands. To reinforce the positive impact of increased education and delayed marriages, the scheme also works to enhance the social power and self-esteem of girls through a targeted behavior change communication strategy. The communication strategy not only builds awareness of the scheme, but includes adolescent-friendly approaches like events, competitions, and Kanyashree clubs, and the endorsement of strong women figures as role models to promote social and psychological empowerment. The objective of the Kanyashree Prakalpa Scheme is to improve the status and well-being of girls from socio-economically disadvantaged families in West Bengal by promoting their education, preventing child marriage, and improving their overall quality of life.

What conditions do I need to fulfill to be eligible for Kanyashree Prakalpa?

While Kanyashrees Annual Scholarship of Rs. 1000/- is for girls who are between the ages of 13 and 18 years, the one-time grant of Rs. 25,000/- is for girls who are between the ages of 18 and 19. However, Kanyashree is NOT for ALL girls. Both the annual scholarship and the one-time grant are only for those girls who are: ◘ Residents of West Bengal AND ◘ Enrolled and regularly attending an educational institution AND ◘ Unmarried AND ◘ From families where the total income is not more than Rs. 1,20,000 per year. However, girls who are specially-abled (with a disability of 40% or more) or are living in a Home registered under the Juvenile Justice Act, 2000, or have lost both parents, may apply for Kanyashree even if their family income is more than Rs. 1,20,000 per year

Is there any other precondition before I apply?

◘ Yes. You must have a bank account opened in your name and you should mention your name in the application form same as that that exists in your bank account.

What kind of educational institution should I be studying in?

Girls will be eligible for Kanyashrees Annual Scholarship or the One-Time grant if they are studying in any one of the following: 1)In Class VIII or above in a school, madrassah or equivalent open school course. 2)In a college or equivalent open university course. 3)A Vocational Training Centre, Technical Training Centre or Industrial Training Centre 4)Girls enrolled in Sports Institutes may apply for the One-Time Grant. They cannot, however, apply for the Annual Scholarship. The educational institution MUST be registered in West Bengal AND recognized by the government

When do I apply for Kanyashree Prakalpa?

You should apply for the Annual Scholarship as soon as you turn 13 years of age. you must be studying in Class VIII or above. Although you can apply for the one-time grant anytime between the ages of 18 and 19, it is better to do so as soon as you turn age 18

Who is eligible to apply for the scheme?

Girls between the ages of 13 and 18 years from families with an annual income of up to Rs. 1.2 lakhs and studying in classes 8 to 12 in government-aided or recognized schools are eligible for the annual scholarship provided under the scheme. Girls who are unmarried and have completed 18 years of age and fulfill the eligibility criteria are eligible for the one-time grant.

What are the benefits provided under the scheme?

The scheme provides an annual scholarship of Rs. 750 to eligible girls and a one-time grant of Rs. 25,000 to unmarried girls who have completed 18 years of age and fulfill the eligibility criteria. The scheme also provides scholarships to girls from economically disadvantaged families who wish to pursue higher education in universities and colleges in West Bengal.

Kanyashree Prakalpa Scheme was introduced by the Department of Women Development and Social Welfare, Government of West Bengal. The United Nations has awarded the West Bengal the first place for public service on account of the Kanyashree Prakalpa scheme. The key objective of Kanyashree Prakalpa is to improve the status of girl child in the state by incentivizing schooling of all teenage girls and preventing their early marriages. In this article, we look at the Kanyashree Prakalpa scheme in detail.

Objectives of the Kanyashree Prakalpa Scheme

The objective of the Kanyashree Prakalpa Scheme are as follows:

• To provide financial help to the girls from disadvantaged families to pursue higher studies
• To reduce dropouts, especially amongst girls from low-income families, who are not under any other scholarship
• To prevent child marriage in West Bengal by increasing the enrolment of girls in secondary education, vocational or sports training
• To encourage the delay of marriages for girls until they reach the age of 18
• To help students to continue their education for a long time

Kanyashree Prakalpa Scheme Scholarship

The Kanyashree Prakalpa scheme has two benefit components.

Annual Scholarship

Annual scholarship to be paid to the girls from the age of 13 to 18, for every year. It helps to ensure that the girls remain in school and unmarried at the time.

On-time Grant

Under the Kanyashree Prakalpa Scheme, the one-time grant will be paid to girls between the age of 18 and 19.

Eligibility Criteria for Annual scholarship (K1 Level)

The eligibility criteria to get Annual Scholarship under the Kanyashree Prakalpa Scheme are below for reference:

• Students between 13 and 17 years (before turning 18 years) of age are eligible to get Kanyashree Prakalpa Annual scholarship
• Applicant should be unmarried
• Students enrolled in classes VIII‐XII in Government recognised regular or equivalent school, equivalent vocational or any other technical training courses are eligible for this scholarship
• Students family income should be less than or equal to Rs. 1,20,000 per annum only eligible to apply
• Applicant girl is physically disabled
• Student’s parents (both father and mother) are deceased
• The applicant’s daughter or ward is already a recipient of the scholarship and applying for a renewal of the benefit

Eligibility Criteria for One Time Grant (K2 Level)

The eligibility criteria for a one-time grant under the Kanyashree Prakalpa Scheme are below for reference:

• A girl whose age is between 18 to 19 years (after turning 18 years and before turn 19) can apply for this
• An unmarried girl on attaining the age of 18 only is eligible
• If a girl is enrolled and regularly attending an Institution of Higher Education  or Training is eligible for a one-time grant
• To apply for these scholarships, the family income of the students should be less than or equal to Rs. 1,20,000 per annum
• As stated above, the family income condition can be varied for physically disabled girls and deceased parents

Documents Required

Below mentioned documents are necessary at the time of application:

• Age proof document – a copy of the birth certificate
• A statement of declaration of being unmarried
• Income certificate
• Certificate of enrolment and attendance by Head of Institution of Education or Training
• Copy of certificate of disability (for disabled girls)
• Photocopy of bank passbook

Kanyashree Prakalpa Scheme Application Procedure

Eligible students can apply for Kanyashree Prakalpa Scheme by following method. Before applying for Kanyashree Prakalpa, eligible girls should open a bank account in their name.

Step 1: Eligible girl student has to collect the application form from the respective educational institution.

Step 2: Fill the following details to get the scholarship

• Personal Details
• Educational Institution Address

Step 3: The applicant should sign on the application form and also get their parent’s signature. Apply along with documents to the respective educational institution.

Step 4: Head of Department will verify the details furnished by the students and put an official stamp.

Step 5: Obtain acknowledgement slip and keep application number for future reference.

Step 6: After the successful submission of the application form, all details will be uploaded on the official webpage of Kanyashree.

Check Status of Kanyashree Prakalpa Application

To get the status of Kanyashree Prakalpa application, follow the below-mentioned steps:

Step 1: Visit the home page of the Kanyashree Prakalpa web portal.

Step 2: Click on Track Application option from the main page.

Step 3: Select the year and type of the scheme from the drop-down menu.

Step 4: Enter the date of birth and Application ID and captcha image .

Step 5: Click on submit

It will display the status of the application.

Payment Mode

The Annual scholarship or one-time grant will be paid to the beneficiaries by way of fund transfer through a bank account. After the approval of the application, the applicant will receive help in the opening and operating a bank account by the banking partner. The applicant can open the bank account in any of the Scheduled Bank as per the Second Schedule of Reserve bank of India Act.

Renewal of Annual Scholarship

The procedures for applications of renewal scholarships will be the same as for new applications. All documents except income certificate are to be provided for renewal. All documents and application will be scrutinized and verified as directed above.  

Kanyashree K3 Prakalpa

On July 28th, 2017 the Honourable Chief Minister of West Bengal announced that Kanyashree K3 for girl students currently studying at any University. This K3 scholarship will help the girl students to pursue her higher studies.

Eligibility Criteria for K3

• Students registered for K2 scheme are only eligible for K3 scheme
• To apply the Kanyashree K3 scheme, students have to pass an Undergraduate degree with at least 45% marks and took admission on any Postgraduate course under any University
• There is no maximum age limit to apply for Kanyashree K3 Prakalpa

K3 – Scholarship Amount

K3 Scholarship for science stream students is Rs. 2,500 per month and for arts stream students will get Rs. 2,000 per month.

Department of Women Development and Social Welfare, Government of West Bengal (DWD&SW) has designed the Kanyashree Prakalpa – a conditional cash transfer scheme with the aim of improving the status and well-being of the girl child in West Bengal by incentivizing schooling of all teenage girls and delaying their marriages until the age of 18, the legal age of marriage.

Kanyashree Scheme Details

The Government of West Bengal launched Kanyashree Prakalpa for protecting and promoting the rights of girl children of West Bengal. Kanyashree Prakalpa provides a safety net for those vulnerable families who are forced by tradition, social compulsion, or poverty, to truncate the education of their daughters and contract them to wholly illegal and dangerous marriages. The scheme improves the status and well-being of girls, specifically those from socio-economically disadvantaged families, through Conditional Cash Transfers by:

• Incentivizing them to continue in education for a longer period of time, and complete secondary or higher secondary education, or equivalent in technical or vocational streams, thereby giving them a better footing in both the economic and social spheres.

Instructions for submission of Online Application of Swami Vivekananda Merit Cum Means Scholarship

Online Registration: At first applicants need to fill up and submit the online registration form. On successful submission of the Registration Form, an Applicant ID of 15 characters will be generated and it will be used to login and complete the remaining Steps of the Application Form. The Applicant Id also required for all future correspondences.Please maintain the Password Policy, for choosing the Password in the Registration Form, as instructed. Please download the Registration Slip or note down the system generated Applicant ID for future use. The Applicant ID will also be sent to the mail id, entered at the time of registration.

Applicants, willing to apply for K3 are required to fill up the authentication form to verify their existence in Kanyashree(K2) with the input fields  Kanyashee(K2) Year of Application, Kanyashree ID, Applicant’s Name, Applicant’s Date of Birth, Father’s Name, Mother’s Name . On successful completion of K2 authentication applicants will be forwarded to registration form. The rest of the process is same as fresh application procedure.

** Girls' students pursuing regular course of Post-graduation in Science/Arts/Commerce but do not have any Kanyashree(K2) ID are requested to apply under Directorate of Public Instruction category. The criteria and benefits are same as Kanyashree(K3).

For Renewal of existing beneficiaries, Online registration is not needed , rather they can login with their previous Applicant ID and Password to apply for renewal.

Note: Eligibility criteria for application in Swami Vivekananda Merit cum Means Scholarship 2023 are mentioned in advertisement and also in the About section, available under Downloads menu and About menu respectively.

If Applicants forget their Applicant ID or Password, they can retrieve the same using Forgot Applicant ID/Password option from Applicant Login option.

Online Application: Login with the generated Applicant ID, Password (which was set during Registration Process) and Captcha (Security Code). After successful login, fill up rest of the application forms . While uploading Scanned Copy of Image and Signature, please maintain File Format and File Size as mentioned. Image and Signature format should be JPG/JPEG and size should be in between 20KB-50KB and 10KB-20KB respectively.

Upload Documents: After successful submission of application form s , Scanned Supporting Document Upload form will be appeared. Upload all necessary documents as mentioned in the form. While uploading, please maintain the File format and File size, as mentioned. Files should be in PDF format and size should not exceed 400KB.

In the upload documents form, select the Competent Authority (BDO/SDO/Jt. BDO / BLRO (Panchayat Area), Executive Officer / Finance Officer / Education Officer in case of municipality, Commissioner / Dy. Com / Municipal secretary in case of Corporation Area, G.R-A Gazetted Officer) whom the Income Certificate is issued from.

Documents to be uploaded for Fresh and Kanyashree Application:

• i. Mark sheet of Madhyamik Examination or its equivalent (Both sides)
• ii. Mark sheet of last Board/Council/University/College examination (Both sides)
• ii. Admission receipt
• iii. Income certificate of family ( Not Applicable for Kanyashree )
• iv. Domicile certificate as Aadhaar ID/Voter ID/Ration card/Certificate Issued by concerned authority
• v. Scanned copy of Bank Passbook (1st Page, containing A/C No. and IFSC)
• vi. Declaration by Head of the Institution regarding the cause of Year Gap. (This option will appear only if applicant selects Year of Qualifying Exam as 2022 or earlier while registration)

Documents to be uploaded for Renewal Application:

• i. Copy of the Marksheet of the last examination in the present course of study. (Both sides and in case of semester examination system, both semester Marksheets).
• ii. Admission receipt for the promotion to the next higher class

Format for Income Certificate is available under Downloads option in the Top menu in all pages.

Submission: After successful upload, Check the application in view mode & click on Submit Application to complete the application process.

Edit: After submission of application form in the portal there will generally not be any option to edit application details. However, if any modification (for example, change of Bank details, updating any Uploaded Document etc.)is needed after submission, applicant may approach concerned HOI for such modification. HOI will then unlock the application and the applicant will then be able to edit the application details.

If any applicant needs to change her/his Present Course of Study, i.e. Present Course Name, Institution Name, Date of Admission etc, she/he may contact helpdesk in this regard. Helpdesk will provide option to change those details.

Electronic submission of M.Phil/Ph.D application started from 01.10.2019

Online Registration: Registration of Non-NET applicants will be done from the concerned Institution end.

After successful registration, a completion message will be sent to the concerned applicant's mobile no. along with the 15digits Applicant ID and a system generated Password.

NOTE: If an applicant does not receive the sms, containing the login credentials, an option to resend the credentials is provided at the concerned institution's login.

Online Application: Login with the Applicant ID, Password and Captcha. After successful login, fill up and submit the Basic Details form.

Upload Documents: After submission of Basic Details form, the required documents and submit the form.

Documents to be uploaded:

• i. Photo (JPG/JPEG and Size in between 20-50KB)
• ii. Signature (JPG/JPEG and Size in between 10-20KB)
• iii. Marksheet or Admit of 10th Standard (PDF and Size not more than 400KB)
• iv. Blank Cancelled Cheque (PDF and Size not more than 400KB)
• v. Ph.D Registration/M.Phil Admission Proof (PDF and Size not more than 400KB)

Uploading of UC/Claim Certificate and Progress Report(Not applicable for Fresh Applicants) : After successful uploading of the documnets, download the Utilization and Claim Certificate(for renewal applicants) or Claim Certificate(for fresh applicants), get the certificated attested from the concerned institution upload it. The Progress Report is to be uploaded for the renewal applicants and after that submit the application.

Enterning the Bank Details: After that the concerned Institution will enter the bank details of the applicant from it's login before verifying the application.
