Quite possibly one of the worst plotted movies I’ve ever seen. 

It’s clear Donald Cerrone is really invested in his acting career. He’s bordering on mediocre at it, which is a hell of a lot more than anyone could say of Ronda Rousey and took a lot less time than Gina Carano. 

It’s also clear then that this is supposed to be his acting sizzle reel. Just 90 minutes of watching a guy who very definitely can’t carry a scene by himself carry every scene by himself in a plot whose arc becomes obvious in the first 15 minutes. 

At 45 minutes long this would have felt padded. At 90 it is interminable. Swear to god if I ever have to watch this man have another argument with a door or sit down to record another vlog I will find the shortest route into the abyss.

A man, trapped, alone, during the apocalypse, fighting off demonic monsters. It is filled with mystery and thrills... a yet, even with all that, I was never once able to give a feather or a fig whether the main character lived or died. In fact, by the end, I wanted all the dark and evil things to kill him just so the pain of this film would finally be over.

Gotta love Donald Cerrone but wow this film was bad.. The overall concept was alright but the execution especially with the editing just felt completely amateur. You have a MMA fighter as your lead role but the fight scenes felt slow and the timing of the cuts to different angles made me laugh out loud.. I was rooting for this movie too because when Cerrone retired he said something like time to ride off and become a big movie star but I'd say not quite yet my friend. One thought I did get from this is that I could definitely see Cerrone doing some minor roles in Robert Eggers films though.

A word of advice to the makers of Project Legion, if ninety percent of your movie is going to consist of the lead actor talking to himself you need a damn good actor in the role. Not a former MMA fighter who’s had a few small roles where his fists did most of the acting.

Funniest thing i’ve ever seen the acting is so bad and the effects are bloody atrocious, oh man laughed the whole way through the walls were moving when they touched them and no plot at all. nothing made sense and so many set mistakes and videography was ass man watch this if you want a good laugh as it’s literally so bad

Project Legion - I tried... I really tried lol

I didn't read anything about this film before I watched it. I just saw it recommended to me on Hulu and thought, hey why not. So no high expectations, and it's still disappointed LOL I got 13 minutes into it and I strongly contemplated turning it off. But I thought, it's got to have at least one redeeming quality somewhere in the movie. There wasn't! LOL there wasn't one good thing about this movie!

Project Legion trailer: UFC’s Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone takes on zombies in October release

UFC fighter Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone stars in the upcoming zombie film Project Legion , which is set to receive a theatrical release on October 7 th, with an Apple TV release following just four days later on October 11 th. With those dates just a few weeks away, a trailer for Project Legion has arrived online and can be seen in the embed above.

Lance Kawas ( Good Thief ) directed Project Legion from a screenplay he crafted with John Sullivan, Michael Pizzimenti, and James Raptoplous. Apparently they put together quite an epic, because Apple has the movie listed with a running time of 2 hours and 38 minutes. The story told over those 158 minutes has the following synopsis:

Feral creatures that prey on humans have descended upon the city. A furious fight for survival begins as the outside world descends into chaos and a former Marine (UFC superstar Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone), barricaded inside his apartment, prepares to come out fighting. Project Legion is a heart-pounding action/thriller.

Cerrone, whose previous acting credits include roles in The Terminal List , The Commando , and Spenser Confidential , is joined in the cast of Project Legion by Brande Roderick ( Baywatch ), Kelly Lynn Reiter ( Maneater ), Chris Maher ( Blowback ), Vincent E. McDaniel ( MacGruber ), Habib Madison ( 30 Seconds in Hell ), Dino Dos Santos ( American Ultra ), newcomer Danny R. Casillas, and writer Michael Pizzimenti.

Kawas and Roderick produced the film with Asif Akbar and Al Bravo. Pizzimenti was associate producer, while Cerrone and Raptoplous served as executive producers alongside Elias Axume. McDaniel co-produced with Mark David.
