Consider your project requirements

Before diving into the pool of available gigs on Fiverr, it’s crucial to outline your project requirements clearly. This initial step sets the foundation for a smooth hiring process and helps in finding the right freelance writer for the job. Some key points to consider include:

  • The type of writing needed: Whether it’s blog posts, articles, copywriting, or other forms of content, specifying the type of writing required is vital.
  • The desired word count or length: Communicate the exact word count or length of the content to ensure alignment with your expectations.

Evaluate seller profiles

Once you have a clear understanding of your project needs, it’s time to dive into the profiles of potential sellers on Fiverr. Here are key aspects to pay attention to when evaluating seller profiles:

  • Writers’ experience and portfolios: Review the experience and portfolio of each writer to gauge their expertise in the type of writing you require.
  • Ratings and reviews from previous clients: Check the ratings and feedback left by previous clients to get an idea of the writer’s reliability and quality of work.
  • Communication skills displayed in their gig descriptions: Communication is key in any freelance collaboration. Look for writers who clearly communicate their services, process, and availability in their gig descriptions.

By thoroughly evaluating seller profiles based on these criteria, you can shortlist writers who align with your project requirements and quality standards.

Set a budget

Setting a budget is a crucial step in the freelance hiring process. Determine how much you are willing to invest in your project to narrow down the options and find writers within your budget range. While it’s important to consider the quality of work in relation to the budget, having a clear budget in mind will help streamline the selection process.

Negotiate and finalize

Once you have identified potential writers whose profiles align with your project needs and budget, don’t hesitate to engage in negotiations. Discuss the specifics of your project, including timelines, revisions, and any other relevant details to ensure a mutual understanding.

selecting the right freelance writing gig on Fiverr involves a strategic approach that considers project requirements, seller profiles, budget constraints, and effective communication. By following these guidelines, clients can engage with skilled writers to bring their projects to fruition successfully.

Managing Your Gig

Fiverr stands out as a hub for connecting individuals seeking services with talented freelancers offering a diverse range of skills. When engaging a freelancer on Fiverr, effective management of your gig is crucial to achieving the desired results. By following some essential steps, you can ensure a smooth collaboration and quality outcomes in your projects.

A. Communicate Effectively

Clear and efficient communication serves as the cornerstone of any successful collaboration. When working with a freelancer on Fiverr, it is essential to establish open channels of communication from the inception of the project. Whether through Fiverr’s messaging system, email, or other communication tools, maintaining a constant flow of information and feedback is vital. By conveying your expectations, preferences, and any changes promptly, you enable the freelancer to deliver work that aligns with your vision.

Furthermore, effective communication fosters a productive working relationship by ensuring that both parties are on the same page throughout the project. Clarifying project details, timelines, and any specific requirements helps prevent misunderstandings and minimizes the need for extensive revisions later on. Embrace transparency and clarity in your communication to create a conducive environment for collaboration on Fiverr.

B. Provide Clear Instructions

To set the stage for a successful collaboration, it is imperative to provide your chosen freelancer with clear and comprehensive instructions. Clearly outline the scope of work, project objectives, preferred writing style (if applicable), and any specific guidelines you wish the freelancer to follow. By offering detailed instructions upfront, you empower the freelancer to deliver results that are in line with your expectations.

Moreover, providing references, examples, or relevant materials can aid the freelancer in understanding your preferences and crafting content that resonates with your vision. Remember that freelancers on Fiverr come from diverse backgrounds and experiences, so guiding them through your specific requirements is vital for a successful outcome. Invest time in preparing a detailed project brief to facilitate a smooth and focused collaboration from the outset.

C. Review and Revise Drafts

As the project progresses, make it a practice to regularly review the drafts provided by the freelancer. Prompt feedback at this stage allows you to steer the direction of the work and address any concerns or deviations early on. Actively engage with the content, assess its alignment with your brief, and provide constructive feedback to guide the freelancer in refining their work.

approach the revision process as a dialogue aimed at enhancing the quality of the final deliverable. Respectful and specific feedback enables the freelancer to make targeted improvements and tailor the work to better meet your requirements. Remember, revisions are a natural part of the creative process, and embracing them cultivates a mutually beneficial exchange of ideas and feedback.

D. Finalize and Accept the Work

Upon receiving the final deliverable from the freelancer, take the time to evaluate it against the initial brief and your feedback during the revision process. If the work meets your expectations and aligns with the agreed-upon guidelines, proceed to accept the delivery. Acknowledging the completion of the project not only signals its closure but also allows you to provide valuable feedback to the freelancer.

Sharing your feedback, whether through Fiverr’s rating system or personal comments, enables the freelancer to refine their work further and enhances their profile on the platform. Appreciate the effort invested by the freelancer in bringing your project to fruition and offer constructive praise or suggestions for future collaborations. By finalizing the work with professionalism and clarity, you contribute to building a robust reputation for yourself and fostering enduring partnerships on Fiverr.

In essence, managing your gig effectively on Fiverr necessitates a blend of clear communication, structured guidance, active involvement in the revision process, and professional closure of projects. By embracing these principles and engaging with freelancers in a collaborative and respectful manner, you can harness the full potential of Fiverr’s platform for realizing your creative projects and business goals. Fiverr is a global marketplace connecting individuals and businesses with freelancers who offer a wide range of digital services. It’s one of the biggest freelancing platforms on the market and acts as a middleman between the Seller (freelancer) and the Buyer (client) .

When Fiverr was founded in 2010 , it had a reputation for selling its services at a low price, with many starting at just $5, hence the name Fiverr. Although some services are still at that price, most sellers have raised their fee and offer customized priced packages to clients. The overall quality is now, probably better too.

What Are Fiverr Gigs?

A Fiverr ‘Gig’ is the unique term the platform has coined for the service offered by sellers (freelancers) on the Fiverr platform. A Gig is the opportunity for a freelancer to showcase what services they offer whilst standing out from other sellers.

Each Gig is designed to cover a specific service , what exactly the seller is offering, the pricing, and the time it will take to complete the job. It’s kind of like an à la carte menu for freelance services.

Fiverr Gig Premium Price

The price of a Gigs range from $5 to $10,000. However, most gigs stay around the lower end of the price scale .

Fiverr sellers offer 3 different packages which vary in price: the Basic, Standard and Premium packages. All freelancers must follow a few guidelines when creating a Gig like creating a title, deciding on the category/subcategory, pricing and packages and, finally, the gig description.

Fiverr Customer Reviews

To help give this Fiverr review a well-rounded perspective, I decided to check out a bunch of the biggest customer review sites , Trustpilot, G2 and Sitejabber. So. let’s see what a bigger pool of Fiverr customers are saying about the platform.

Trustpilot has the largest pool of reviews, with 9,914 users sharing their experience and opinion on Fiverr. The table below shows the breakdown of the reviews from 5 to 1 star. More than 60% of users left a positive 5-star rating, and on the other end of the scale, 26% left a 1-star rating.

Rating Trustpilot G2 Sitejabber
5-star 62% 262 96
4-star 7% 102 48
3-star 2% 29 35
2-star 3% 3 57
1-star 26% 11 836
Overall 3.8 out of 5 stars 4.3 out of 5 stars 1.82 out of 5 stars

Data gathered on 10/06/2023

I was left curious, so decided to investigate further into Trustpilot’s customer reviews and ratings.

Many of the 5-star reviews were impressed with the quality of work, diverse range of freelancers and competitive prices. “I’ve had ALL positive experiences with Fiverr… the convenience is unmatched. The freelancers I’ve collaborated with have been outstanding”, a five-star reviewer said.

Still, I couldn’t help but wonder why customers had left only a 1-star rating, I discovered found that many bad experiences come from working with a specific freelancer they had hired, or they weren’t happy with the customer service. “A freelancer caused me huge damage and loss”, a one-star reviewer said.

Other negative reviewers were from sellers who felt they weren’t supported by Fiverr when dealing with buyers. “…lots of competition, rarely gets a chance for newcomers nowadays” a one-star reviewer said.

Over at G2, customers have left 407 Fiverr reviews, with 262 users praising Fiverr with 5-stars and only 11 users leaving a 1-star review. Similarly, many of its five-star reviews complimented the vast variety of services, quality of freelancers and secure payment plan. “I love that Fiverr has a good variety of sellers that are EASY to get in touch with…” a five-star reviewer said.

Sitejabbers overall rating was noticeably much lower than both Trustpilot and G2, which left me curious about its 1-star ratings. As I explored further, I found most of those reviews were left by unhappy sellers and those that had a bad experience with a particular freelancer. “We were scammed on Fiverr by a website developer, who never finished the project”, said a one-star reviewer. I guess this is inevitable when freelancers aren’t vetted by the platform beforehand, like on Toptal .

My Experience as a Fiverr Buyer

As a buyer on Fiverr , I’ve hired a couple of different sellers to help me with a couple of small projects. One was to design a logo and the other was writing an article, and my experience both times was overall a positive one . I will add here that I did spend some time researching and reading reviews on sellers, before I committed to anyone. I also sent messages to a handful of sellers, to see when and how they would respond. This was a little tedious, to be honest, and not everyone would have the time to do all of this.

On both occasions, I didn’t choose a beginner seller or one of the cheaper options . I went for a mid-range price tag and a seller with a couple of hundred reviews. The requirements section of the order is where the seller asks you a bunch of questions about the job, this is your chance to explain in as much detail as possible as to what you are looking for. This is absolutely key as the first time round, I was more vague, and then it required more revisions in the end. It’s also important to consider the package you choose. I opted for a Standard package which gave me 3 sets of revisions as I was confident I’d not need more.

My Fiverr Order

Every time I used Fiverr, I was somehow satisfied with the end results; therefore, I have never had to use their refunds and guarantee policy . But generally speaking, only when you’re 100% satisfied, click ‘Completed’ to finalize your order.

Fiverr For Buyers

Fiverr has made buying ‘Gigs’ a smooth and hassle-free experience for buyers. Alongside that, the platform is intuitive and easy to navigate around, it reminds me of how easy it is to buy on Amazon. Once you’ve picked a freelancer and chosen a Gig package, it may take as little as a couple of days to get your order delivered. Sounds simple enough, perhaps even too easy, right?

Well, before you rush into anything, I thought it would be helpful to share from my own experience, along with the 7 steps (and 1 optional) that can help you have a positive buying experience.

Choose a Category

Once you’re logged in, you can begin by choosing from one of Fiverr’s 10 main categories. I went ahead and selected ‘ Writing & Translation’, as I knew I wanted help writing an article.

Fiverr Categories

When you hover over one of its categories, you’ll see a long list of subcategories and a further list of subcategories to choose from. In case you know exactly what you’re looking for, you can type it directly into the search bar.

Use the Filters

To help narrow down your search, you can use Fiverr’s helpful filters to get exactly what you are looking for. You can choose from:

  • Service options
  • Seller details (which allows you to pick a top-rated seller)
  • Budget (choose your minimum and maximum budget)
  • Delivery time (there is an option for an express, 24 hours) .

Fiverr Filters

One of the filters I particularly like is the ‘Online sellers’, especially if you’re in a bit of a rush, and you want a Seller to get started on your order right away , there is a good chance they might be able to.

Read Seller Reviews

Once your search has been narrowed down by the filters, you can check out the list of sellers and their ratings and reviews that have been left by previous buyers. If you are looking for an experienced and successful seller, then a 5-star rating is something to look out for.

Fiverr Seller Reviews

Gig & Packages

When you are set on your chosen seller and Gig, you can click on them to read in a little more detail about the service they offer, check out their portfolio and compare the different packages available. Most sellers offer 3 packages, which vary in their offering and come with 3 different prices. The Basic is the most affordable, while the Standard and Premium offer more extensive features and come with a higher price tag.

Fiverr Compare Packages

Order & Pay

After choosing your preferred package, you’ll be taken through to the Order Details where you’ll need to add your card details, or you can pay with PayPal if you prefer. Then you select ‘Pay’ in your preferred currency.

If it’s easier, you can store and save your payment details within your Fiverr account, as this will make it easier if you plan to request future jobs or projects.

Submit Requirements

Now that your order has been processed, you’ll need to submit some requirements to your seller , so they can start working on your order. In most cases, the Seller will have a list of questions and the option to upload any files for them to work on. I found that this stage of the ordering process to be vital, the more detail and information I gave, the closer the end result met my expectations. Once you’ve added all the information, you can select ‘Start Order’.

Approve Order

This is the most important part of the ordering process. Only once you are completely satisfied and happy with your order, should you click ‘Completed’. This crucial part of the ordering process is in place to protect you, the buyer. That will then mark the end of your Fiverr ordering journey.

A seller should never request for you to mark the order as complete if the job isn’t finished or the service promised isn’t provided. If that happens, you must reach out to Fiverr customer support.

Leave a Review

This is an optional step , but it’s important for sellers to have ratings and reviews. This is also a good way to let the seller know are satisfied with their work. Plus, the more detail you leave, the more helpful it is for future buyers.

Fiverr Pro Account

As a buyer, you have the option to create a Fiverr Pro Account, which you can either merge with your original Fiverr account or you can make two separate accounts. The good news is signing up for it is completely free .

Fiverr Pro Account

It’s a service that will match you with Fiverr’s top-performing freelancers, help you set up projects and work with your team.

Why Choose Fiverr Pro over Fiverr Marketplace?

  • Track all your business purchasing activity
  • Single shared payment
  • Save and Share your favorite freelancers
  • Tailor made services such as Project Partner
  • Advanced billing and payment options

As a seller on Fiverr, you will need to go through an application process to be accepted as a Fiverr Pro seller.

Fiverr For Sellers

Fiverr allows anyone to sign up as a seller on Fiverr, there isn’t an official vetting process . That said, you will need to spend some time going through the sign-up process and following the steps to create your profile, set up a gig, and decide on your package offerings.

Sellers How it works

Setting Up as a Seller

  • Create a Seller’s Account
  • Set up your Profile
  • Create and Publish a Gig

The Fiverr seller community is made up of thousands of freelancers , so it’s important to consider that when you first sign up. It may take some time for you to attract buyers. For starters, it’s important to create an engaging Gig description, include the right tags and keywords, set up a competitive price, and promote gigs.

Getting Paid

As a seller working on Fiverr, you’ll be paid for each separate order you complete. So only once you’ve finished the work or project, Fiverr will release 80% of the funds, as remember each seller is charged a 20% commission for each sale .

Those funds remain under a ‘pending’ status for a 14-day clearing period in case the buyer isn’t satisfied and decides to request a refund. Once that 14-day period is up, the funds will be marked as ‘cleared’ and sellers can withdraw with PayPal, Fiverr Revenue Card or bank transfer if you’re in the US.

Fiverr allows you to withdraw revenue in the following currencies; USD (US$) Australian Dollar (A$), Canadian Dollar (C$), British Pound (£), Euro (€), Israeli Shekel (₪).

Top-rated sellers are eligible to withdraw funds following a 7-day clearing period after the order is marked complete.

How Much Is Fiverr?

The good news is Fiverr is completely free to sign up to for both buyers and sellers . The price that sellers can charge for their gigs can range from as low as $5 and some go all the way up to $10,000, but thankfully most stay around the affordable end. The majority of Sellers offer 3 different priced packages which come with different variations of offerings and revisions.

Buyers & Seller Fees

As a Buyer on Fiverr, with every order you make, there will be a 5.5% service fee added to the total amount. This service fee will be added at checkout, so you’ll see it in the total before you pay. Something else to note is that if your purchase totals less than $75, there will be an additional $2.50 ‘small order fee’ added to the total price.

As a seller on Fiverr, it charges a 20% commission on each sale that is made. So in the end, Fiverr will collect a 25.5% of each order , which when you think about it, isn’t as generous as you may have initially been led to believe.

Refunds & Guarantees

Fiverr also offers refunds, depending on what stage of the ordering process you are at. As a buyer on Fiverr, if you aren’t satisfied during the design process, you’ll have the option to cancel the order and request a refund .

Fiverr will offer you a couple of options:

  • It can assist you with finding another seller to complete your project if you wish to continue.
  • You can seek out a seller for yourself
  • If you prefer to continue with requesting a refund, Fiverr will need to approve it, and if accepted, it will refund the amount to your Fiverr balance within 10 days.

Fiverr doesn’t automatically process refunds to your payment provider, e.g. credit card or PayPal . You’ll need to request this from Fiverr Customer Support.

In the case that you request a refund after you have clicked ‘completed’ on the final order. Fiverr will have to review your case and your reasons for cancelling the order after approval. A full or partial refund will be considered and again if approved, it will be returned to your Fiverr account, PayPal or original bank account.

It’s best to do your due diligence and read ratings and reviews of potential sellers before hiring them.

Quality Assurance

Freelancers can join Fiverr without any vetting process. However, if you want to become an approved and vetted seller, the Fiverr team will review and evaluate your qualifications, past work experience, and performance on the platform. Fiverr has a large diverse range of freelancers with years of experience, including its top-rated sellers.

Fiverr has a help center where you can search by category or read common questions asked by the Fiverr community. If you can’t find what you’re looking for there, you can submit a request to Fiverr’s customer support team, and they should reply within 12 – 48 hours. If you don’t get the reply you’re looking for, you can email [email protected] .

Overall Rating ?

Fiverr is a fantastic freelancing platform for individuals or businesses looking to outsource services in digital skills . It covers a wide range of categories and topics , and there are different pricing packages, so there’s something for every budget. Fiverr is free to join , but there’s a service fee for both buyers and sellers . You should also keep in mind that there is no vetting process for freelancers, which can be a downside for buyers. But all things considered, Fiverr comes with many benefits both for freelancers and buyers, and it’s definitely worth a try .

Is Fiverr Legit?

Absolutely, Fiverr is completely legit for both buyers and sellers. The platform has been around since 2010 and has built a solid reputation over the years.

Its customer support team claims to be able to help to resolve any issues you may have and should respond within 24 hours. If a seller doesn’t deliver the work by the proposed day, you’re entitled to a full refund. On top of that, Fiverr has an SSL certificate to protect your billing and personal information from anyone, and a 2-Factor Authentication option to keep things safe.

Final Thoughts: Why Choose Fiverr?

Hopefully, you now have a good overview of whether Fiverr makes sense for you. So if you are an individual or a business looking to outsource a project, let’s summarize below why Fiverr might be right for you:

  • Wide Selection of Digital Categories
  • Broad range of Global Freelancers
  • Competitive Prices
  • Secure Payment Methods
  • Customer Service

On the other hand, Fiverr may not offer the category or a task you are looking for, or you may want to work with a freelancer who has been previously vetted to ensure they are experienced and trustworthy. If that’s the case, you can check out Toptal or Upwork.

Fiverr Alternatives

Upwork : is a freelancing platform that focuses on building long-term relationships with freelancers and clients. It offers a wider selection of categories than Fiverr and has flexible payment options.

Toptal : focuses on providing top quality freelancers who specialize in specific topic areas like business, design and technology. Unlike Fiverr, Toptals network of freelancers are rigorously tested and vetted to ensure they are the top 3%.

99designs : is a freelancing platform for graphic design, but it’s very similar to Fiverr in terms of the categories that it offers. Each category has different budgets, but the main difference is a much higher price tag than Fiverr, with a starting price of $250+.

The 14-day hold on payments received via Fiverr as a seller was useful information. My experience setting up on Fiverr was getting flag after flag, even on my zip code, which is ridiculous. Upwork was a comparable breeze. My experience really soured on the issue of using a freelancer Website at all.

Is Fiverr Legit? Definitely!

Fiverr homepage

Fiverr hosts some of the best deals for freelance work in most industries, from copywriting to logo design, some for as little as $5! But with mixed reviews and no freelancer screening process (unless you pay extra for Pro Verified sellers), it’s understandable if you have some doubts.

Because we know how hard it can be to find professional freelancers, and how frustrating it is to hire someone who can’t fulfill their promises, we put Fiverr to the test. We analyzed its features, ease of use, quality of service, customer support, and more.

In fact, we’ve taken a very close look at Fiverr’s offerings. My team and I used Fiverr as part of our quest to find the best logo design service. We tested Fiverr at three different price points – low, medium, and high – to understand truly if higher price meant higher quality. You can read about our test in our review of Fiverr’s logo design service .

Everything You Need to Find the Right Freelancers

Fiverr makes contacting and hiring a freelancer pretty easy. While the massive pool of talent can feel overwhelming, the search functionality definitely simplifies the process (more on that later). And the seller review system helps remove any doubts about their ability to perform.

Minimize Risk With Easy-To-Read Seller Levels

On Fiverr, you can instantly size up a freelancer’s reliability and quality. All you have to do is check the seller level that appears near their username. This can save time by helping you quickly eliminate anyone who hasn’t proven themselves on the platform. A seller level is based on delivery time, customer satisfaction, and service quality.

These are the four seller levels:

  • New Seller – This is where every freelancer starts. It’s a sign that a seller is relatively inexperienced.
  • Level One Seller – A seller can reach the first level after 60 days, but only if they’ve completed at least 10 gigs with a high level of satisfaction.
  • Level Two Seller – Only sellers who have been on Fiverr for 120 days and have delivered 50 highly-rated and on-time orders will reach this level.
  • Top-Rated Seller – If a seller’s Top Rated, it’s an excellent sign that they’ll be reliable. These freelancers have been on Fiverr for at least 180 days, and have delivered over 100 orders (earning at least $20,000), all while keeping their buyers satisfied.

Skills That Cover Every Niche

Fiverr popular services page.

When it comes to the variety of skills and services, Fiverr is hard to beat. You can find sellers who’ll design a WordPress site for you, manage your social media marketing campaign, edit your promotional video, or even carve your name into a tree. If someone is willing to pay for it, it’s probably available here – as long as it’s legal, of course.

Pro Verified, High-Quality Experts

If you’re willing to pay extra, you can use Fiverr Pro to find the very best freelancers Fiverr has to offer. Pro Verified freelancers must be reviewed and approved by the Fiverr team and are chosen based on their higher education, work experience, and service quality. Hiring a freelancer who has already proved themselves is very reassuring, and I like that there’s a reliable way to guarantee high-quality results on Fiverr.

Are Pro Sellers worth the jump in price? In my opinion, yes. It’s not a budget option, but it’s still less expensive than hiring a big business or employee. You get a big boost in quality – Pro Verified sellers are more experienced than other freelancers and deliver more professional, polished work.  If you want to avoid hiring a bad seller on Fiverr, restricting your search to “pro services” is a surefire way to do it.

And not all of them charge thousands of dollars. Browsing a few different categories, I was able to find more affordable Pro Sellers pretty easily.

If Things Go Wrong, You Have Plenty of Options

While Fiverr is loaded with talented freelancers who won’t let you down, you may encounter those that can’t deliver on their promises from time to time. Thankfully, if you pay for a gig and the seller turns out to be unreliable, you have several different ways to deal with it.

First, if a seller is late and unresponsive for 24 hours, you’re free to cancel the order and get a refund . If your freelancer delivers work that doesn’t meet the conditions that were agreed upon, you can turn to Fiverr’s Resolution Center and try to work things out. If you can’t come to an agreement with your seller, you can always turn to the Customer Support team to resolve things.

Fiverr gives you another safety net, too. Once you mark your order as completed, your funds will enter a “pending” status for 14 days (7 days for Top-Rated sellers) . During this time, if you’re unsatisfied with the service or finished product, you can make a dispute. Keep in mind that after this safety period, your payment will transfer completely to the freelancer.

Work Done Fast

Extra fast delivery option of a Fiverr logo design gig

If you need a job done quickly, Fiverr could be the perfect solution. Most freelancers have turnaround times of 48 hours or less. Also, you usually have the option to pay a bit more to get your work done even faster. When you really need to get a project started as soon as possible, you can search for freelancers that are currently online and start the conversation immediately.

Find Freelancers on the Go

Fiverr offers a great app that’s available for iOS and Android, so you can find quality help no matter where you are. The apps are well-designed and easy to use. Scrolling through gigs works well on mobile, and I never felt lost in the UI. Once you hire a freelancer, it’s really helpful to be able to contact them and check for updates even when you’re away from your computer.

Don’t Break the Bank

While some services can get pricey, it’s totally possible to get professional work done for as little as $5. One way to get affordable rates is to hire a new seller. While there is a bit more risk involved, new sellers will often charge lower rates while establishing themselves.

But you can get better quality services for good prices, too. Fiverr has a wide range of price rates for bigger budgets , where you can get freelancers with thousands of positive reviews for a lower cost than I’ve seen on other freelance sites.

Fiverr Features at a Glance

5.5% (+ $2.50 for orders below $75)
(but you can cancel/refund orders if a seller is unresponsive)

You can also contact any potential freelancers before you commit to anything. This way, you can get a sense of their professionalism and make sure you’re both comfortable with the project’s scope.

Ease of use

It doesn’t get much easier than this.

Fiverr is an incredibly user-friendly platform. The site is super intuitive and offers several great tools to help you weed through the massive pool of talent. Below, you’ll find some of the more notable features that make hiring on Fiverr a breeze.

If you want to hire a freelancer on Fiverr, it’s really easy to get started.

Filter Out Undesirables

Unlike other platforms, like Upwork or Freelancer.com, Fiverr offers customized search filters depending on the type of work you need done .

For example, if you’re looking for a writer, the filters will include a section for the tone, type, and topic of the piece you need. If you’re in need of a logo designer, the filters will let you choose the file format, the style you’re looking for, and more.

Fiverr logo design search results

When looking for a logo designer, I put Fiverr’s filters to the test. Simply by limiting the results to sellers that were currently online, work in 3D, and can provide a JPEG, I was able to bring the number of freelancers down from 3,400+ to a far more manageable 71.

But don’t take our word for it. Watch as one of our reviewers tried buying logos at different price points on Fiverr. Which one did he like the most? Watch to find out.

Multiple Ways to Search the Site

On Fiverr, you can search through available gigs or post custom jobs so freelancers come to you. To post a job, sign in to Fiverr and click on your profile picture in the top right. Then, just select the Post a Request button, and create a listing that freelancers can bid on. After that, you just need to choose the seller with the best proposal and price.

This is ideal if you’re in need of something super specific and are struggling to find the perfect gig offering. Posting a job costs nothing, and you only pay once a freelancer has been hired .

Profiles That Won’t Leave You Surprised

Thanks to the easy-to-read profile system, you can quickly eliminate underperformers. Fiverr profiles are loaded with useful info like reviews from previous clients, average response time, and a portfolio of past work. If you like a specific freelancer, you can also check out what other gigs they have on offer.

Freelander profile on Fiverr.

A poorly-written profile is a big red flag. By keeping an eye out for particularly bad spelling or a lack of details, you can eliminate a lot of duds. It’s also a good idea to communicate with your potential freelancer before you start a contract. A lot of negative client reviews are simply a result of poor communication and a misunderstanding of expectations.

Decent Support and an Awesome Help Center

In order to see just how good Fiverr’s customer support is, I put it to the test. Fiverr only gives you two options for contacting support:

  • Submitting a request ticket through the Buyer Help Center

Although I received helpful replies when contacting them, Fiverr’s representatives took their time to respond. This is not ideal if you have a serious issue requiring immediate assistance.

I first reached out to Fiverr to ask about switching from a standard account to a Business account. Although you can switch between seller and buyer mode at any time, it turns out you need a completely new account to access Business:

An interaction with Fiverr support about Business accounts

The representative was helpful, but ideally, I wouldn’t have to wait almost a full day to hear back from them.

The same happened the next day when I contacted support about some fee information inconsistencies on the website:

Interaction with Fiverr support about transaction fees

The representative apologized for not getting to me sooner and went on to answer my question in detail. They also linked a Help Center guide containing more information about Fiverr’s fees.

Speaking of which, the Help Center is where you’ll find blogs, step-by-step tutorials, advice, and instructional videos. These resources offer in-depth answers to the questions you are most likely to have. There’s also a forum where you can pose your question to other users, or search to see if it’s already been answered.

Before reaching out to Customer Support, it’s a good idea to check these resources first. They can provide answers to many common questions, and it will likely be faster to find the information you need. If, after consulting these resources, you still can’t find an answer to your question, you can then consider contacting Customer Support as a last resort.

The system automatically adjusts the displayed cost of each gig to align with your location’s currency, eliminating the need for manual calculations. Fiverr additionally offers various payment methods, encompassing major credit cards, PayPal, and Apple Pay (accessible through the mobile app).

All payments are made upfront and held in escrow. Fiverr will not release funds to your seller until after you’ve approved the work. If the work doesn’t meet your standards, you can give your freelancer the chance to resubmit or cancel the order. And if you run into any problems, you can always turn to Customer Service to help mediate.

Keep in mind, once a seller hands over your work, you only have three days (or 14 days for orders needing shipping) to accept or reject it. If you fail to react by the third day, the system will automatically let go of your money.

How to Start Freelance Writing (Everything You Need to Know)

  • By Pete McPherson
  • November 25, 2020

On the surface, getting started in freelance writing seems so simple…

  • Have writing skills.
  • Find companies willing to pay you.
  • Reach out to them and get gigs.
  • Make millions.

Sweet! You can stop reading this post now 😉 Go get clients!

Just kidding.

As you’ve probably found out, finding new writing clients and booking paid gigs is NEVER that easy—especially when you’re brand new, have no portfolio, and don’t have a network to tap into.

It’s tough—but not  impossible.

With the tools and tactics in this guide (and a bit of hustle), you’ll be able to grab your first paying client in no time.

Let’s write. ✏️

  • Create a “home base” to show off your work (to potential clients)
  • How to start building a portfolio ASAP
  • How to pitch for freelance writing opportunities (both free & paid!)
  • Three tips for overdelivering value for your first client (and why it’s vital)
  • How to appropriately ask for referrals
  • How to specifically find companies who will pay you to freelance write
  • Organize your “freelance system”
  • BONUS: How to land your second freelance client

First, You Need to Understand What Freelance Writing Actually Looks Like

If you’re new to freelance writing, don’t skip this step.

What you’re about to read could save you hours of time (and a lot of frustration).

Producing content for money is work! It’s not always easy, and it won’t always pay thousands of dollar per post. It’ll also take a while to ramp up your clients and earnings.

It’s crucial that you manage your expectations.

Even with this guide, it’ll still take hours of hard work to land a client, and then you’ll have to, ya know,  do the work  for your clients.

That said, freelance writing  is  an amazing side hustle (or full-time career path), filled with variety, great hourly rates , and the ability to work at home while binging on Netflix.

(Don’t actually do that, by the way).

1. You Need a “Home Base” on the Internet (Where You Can Show Your Work)

Remember in 3rd grade when the teacher asked you to “show your work?”

This is kind of like that.

When you’re trying to convince a company to pay you for your writing, they’ll want to see examples of your writing.

The most common method for most freelance writers is to start a blog, or otherwise have a personal website (complete with a “work with me” page).

Holly from Club Thrifty has a fantastic portfolio page on her blog.

More specifically, this “home base” website will need three things:

  • Examples of your writing
  • A portfolio page with links to external articles (once you get them)
  • Information on how to work with you (and contact you)

Don’t get overwhelmed yet, though.

We’ll talk more about those details in a minute, but for now, you just need to get your home base set-up!

The best course of action will be to start a very simple, minimal website.

With the right set of instructions, you can easily have something set up in an afternoon, after which you should start publishing content (that you can show to potential freelance clients)!

This illustrative guide will teach you how to start a blog, step by step!

Pro Tip: If this is your first time setting up a website, keep things as simple as humanly possible! There are a lot  of new things to learn in the beginning, so take it easy on yourself.

You don’t need a fancy theme or even a logo. You need a functioning, professional-looking site to show potential clients. Keep it minimal, and there will be fewer things to screw up.

Technical newbies should re-read that paragraph 👆

Even if you don’t want to set up a portfolio blog right now, you’ll most definitely need one eventually.

It  is possible to start freelance writing without a blog, but it sure makes things easier if you do have one!

The next point, however, is not optional.

2. You Need to Get Published on Somebody Else’s Blog ASAP

You’re not going to like this…

But you need to do whatever it takes to get published on somebody else’s platform—even if that’s doing your first article for free.

“What? No way! I don’t work for free…”

I get it. Working for free doesn’t sound very appealing, but when you’re just starting out, you need to consider it.

Every freelance client on the planet is going to want to see if you can write  for other people.

In fact, this is the most important piece of advice in this entire article: the quality of your past writing gigs either makes or breaks your opportunities for new, better freelance writing clients.

But you’re in luck!

Even if you’ve never written a piece of freelance content before, there’s a simple solution for getting started:  the guest post!

Why guest posts are awesome for new freelance writers:

  • They get your feet wet for conducting outreach/pitching
  • It costs you nothing and gets you valuable writing experience, as well as something to add to your portfolio
  • It’s help to build your “writing for other people” muscle.

How to find blogs to guest post on:

First, you’ll want to start small.

Don’t go reaching out to huge blogs that have massive following and have been around for decades.

Compile a list of blogs in your niche (we’ll talk about niches in a minute).

Here’s my recommended process (using an aspiring freelance writer in the personal finance niche as an example) :

  • Create a spreadsheet to drop the names, URLs, and contact emails in
  • Go to Google and search “best personal finance blogs”
  • Open the top 10 results, sort through all the blogs, and put them on your spreadsheet.
  • Go to Pinterest and search “personal finance” (or other sub-topic keywords like “budgeting,” “frugality,” or “investing.”)
  • Open several pins, and add those resulting blogs to your spreadsheet
  • Go to  Detailed.com  and click on your niche (they only have 10 large niches)
  • Open those blogs and add them to your spreadsheet (I recommend starting from the bottom of the list, as the top blogs are  huge  sites that’ll be tough to get guest posts on.

You can use the Chrome extensions  Hunter  to find bloggers’ email addresses, or just use the contact forms on their site (check their site footer for the link).

3. How to Pitch Bloggers for Guest Posts (or Your First Paid Opportunity)

Huge mega-hint:  Most of these tips apply for pitching paid freelance services as well!

Pay attention 😃

Every other “how to pitch yourself for a writing opportunity” article probably contains some form of copy/paste template.

But those are increasingly ineffective (as everybody like yourself tends to use them).

Instead, here are the essentials for a great outreach email.

These work whether you’re trying to land a guest post or connecting with your first freelance client:

  • Write like a human.  No scripts, no templates, no copy/paste. Do use proper spelling, grammar, formatting, and be professional, but use natural language.
  • Be brief.  No 500 word emails, please! Write out the entire email, then cut it in half. No fluff.
  • Be honest and transparent . Under no circumstances should you try to hide the fact that you’re asking for an opportunity! Make your ask clear.
  • Be specific . Don’t leave anything to chance. Share  exactly  what you’re looking for and  exactly what you bring to the table for them (with your content).
  • Give specific suggestions.  “I noticed you have a ‘ketogenic desserts’ category on your blog, but haven’t posted anything there in over 4 months. I have 3 specific blog post ideas for you! [Post A, Post B, and Post C]”
  • Always show them “WIIFM.” (“What’s in in for me?”)  That’s what your contact will be thinking when they open the email, so make the benefits of your freelance writing very clear.

Write short emails that sound like they’re coming from a friend or peer, present your ask/offer clearly, and focus on building genuine relationships and adding value to the other person.

You’ll get guest opportunities.

4. Three ways to Overdeliver Value on Your First Gig (and Why It’s Critical You Do)

Do you remember what you’re after here?

A lucrative freelance writing career?

Referrals and word of mouth are the top ways freelance writers find more work. Do whatever it takes to impress your first client and overdeliver.

This applies to initial guest post opportunities and your early paid clients.

Tip #1 – Be flexible in your writing

As a matter of fact, this should be included in your pitch as well. Reassure potential clients that they should feel free to send  back  your content with changes, improvements, or revisions.

They want any guest content to be  good,  so reassure them you’ll do whatever it takes to make that happen!

Tip #2 – Share the content once it’s live

  • If you have an email list, email them about the guest post.
  • Write about the experience on your own blog and link back to the post.

Tip #3 – Follow up a week after it’s live

Ask your client  “How was the response from the guest post? Is there anything I can do to help?”

It’s unlikely they’ll come back with anything, but it shows them how caring and dedicated you are just in case.

When you first start freelance writing, these are the types of interactions that’ll increase the likelihood growing your work opportunities quicker.

Overdeliver on your first few gigs, and you’ll quickly find yourself getting more opportunities (or repeat opportunities)!

5. You Need to Ask for Referrals

And not just reaching out to past clients—because you might not have any of those yet.

The truth is, you already have a network of some sort, even if you don’t know it.

  • Search your LinkedIn contacts for people who like you
  • Email that college professor you were close with
  • Text your mom

If this sounds silly, it is, and that’s why 95% of people would never think to actually implement this 😃

Say something like this:

“Hey cousin Ed! Long time no see! I’ve recently gotten into freelance writing as a career path (I write about [topic] for [type of company you serve]), and I’m looking for a bit more work. Do you know of anybody who might want articles for their website/blog? Anybody who works at [type of company you serve]? Etc? I just thought I’d ask!”

Here’s why asking your personal network for referrals is awesome…

Two reasons:

  • There’s a small chance you’ll actually get a direct lead
  • There’s a very high chance you will now be “top of mind” if and when your friends  do encounter somebody at [type of company you serve].

If you write for e-commerce platforms, you’ll want your friends to think of  you  when they meet an e-commerce CMO at a networking event.

Pro Tip : You should absolutely double-back with past clients or bloggers who you wrote a guest post for—asking them for referrals as well. Just be more professional in your language than if you were talking to Cousin Ed.

6. How to Specifically Find Companies Who Will Pay You to Freelance Write

So you have a few articles published and you’re ready to level up into paid freelance writing.

This is the stage where you are absolutely not allowed to give up! You should expect to receive several “no’s” before you get a “yes.” Your first paid gig will always be the hardest.

Freelance writing gets easy the more you do it (since you have more work to show for yourself and more client wins to report).

Introducing the “Upside Down” Method of finding paying clients.

This hack comes from a guest post that James Johnson wrote on Nick Loper’s site, Side Hustle Nation .

It’s a fantastic post, and you should read the whole thing!

Here’s how James laid it out:

Rather than looking for companies to pitch to, you’ll be looking for other freelancers with other paid writing gigs under their belt. From there, you’ll reverse-engineer your search to discover companies with a track record of paying freelancers.

Here’s what you’ll do:

  • Go to Google and search for freelance writers in your niche. Use a query like  [niche] “guest post” + “is a freelance writer”
  • Find your way to those writers’ websites, and find their portfolio. Try searching for their “about” page “work with me” page.
  • Once you find their portfolio, browse through and note any companies that would be a good fit for you as well!

This method works well for finding companies that are proven to pay freelance writers.

Pro Tip: In this process, you should be organizing your search in some sort of spreadsheet tracker or checklist. Keep a living document of companies you’d like to reach out to, noting when you’ve pitched them, when you should follow-up, etc.

For more info, go back to that Side Hustle Nation link at the top of this section. James breaks it down in far more detail.

7. Here’s Another Pro Tip That’ll Help You Stand out From Other New Freelance Writers

Warning: This section suggests hustle moves that most new freelancers aren’t willing to do.

Put yourself in the shoes of an editor who is receiving 20 emails a day from freelance writers.

They see a lot of pitches like…

“Hey I’m Jerry, a freelancer from [blog], and I’d love to contribute to the Business Insider blog. Here’s my portfolio: [link]. What do you think?”

Or slightly better…

“Hey I’m Jerry, a freelancer from [blog], and I’d love to contribute to your platform. I had three article ideas in mind. [Idea one. Idea two. Idea three.]. What do you think?”

Editors receive a ton of these pitches!

How can you stand out?

Simple. Prove to them up front that you’re a hard worker.

How to prove you’ll be a great writer and add value to your client’s brand.

Do some form of work upfront—before they’ve actually said “yes.”

This could take several forms:

  • Include 60-second video in your pitch explaining your article idea in greater detail.
  • Write the article beforehand, and tease it in your pitch email with a screenshot. Ask them if they’d like to read the entire thing.
  • Prepare three different article ideas, and include a one-paragraph summary of each idea, as well as five different headline alternatives for each.
  • Explain how you  will promote the article to  your  audience once it’s live. Social media, email list, paid promotion?

If you do something a little extra like this, make sure to tailor your idea or pitch to their brand! It shouldn’t be a generic “Hey, I already have a random piece written and I thought you might want it.”

It should be more like “Hey, I did all this work already specifically for your brand.”

Pro Tip: I once got a guest post opportunity by submitting three articles ideas, summary, and alternative headlines—inside a Google Doc that I customized to their brand colors, logo, etc.

8. Organize Your “Freelance System” (and Showcase It to Potential Clients)

Here’s another thing that all companies want from their freelance writers:  They want you to be hyper-organized, timely, and professional in your services.

And not just the actual writing…

  • You’ll need to send proposals
  • You’ll need contracts
  • You might need to track your hours
  • You’ll need to send invoices and collect payments.

These don’t really sound challenging until it’s actually time to  do  such administrative tasks.

In case you haven’t noticed, this is the entire purpose of AND CO—to make your life 10x easier as a new freelance writer, giving you the tools to find and close new clients, and save time, energy, and money in your freelancing.

Example : Here’s an entire guide to invoicing , and here’s a free invoice generator!

Pro Tip: You might even share your tools & “admin system” with your prospective clients. They’ll like to know that you’re a professional, and will make it easy for them to pay you, etc.

Don’t neglect the administrative side of freelancing. The amount of “backend” work often surprises new freelance writers!

Be prepared, make things easier on yourself, and show your clients you’re a professional 👍

BONUS: How to Land Your 2nd Freelance Writing Client

Too many new freelancers overlook this important step.

Make sure to double-back with any clients you’ve worked for (or bloggers you’ve guest posted for) and collect any wins they received!

What you’re doing is here is gathering testimonials and social proof that you can use to showcase your skills to new clients.

Here’s an example from freelancer Cat Alford’s blog:

  • Revenues or leads . Did that post generate any sales for you?
  • Traffic . How was traffic to our article?
  • Shares . How did your audience respond to the article? Did it get many shares?

The more wins you can collect, the better. You can even create a living Google Doc with client testimonials and specific results from past writing gigs.

Are You Ready to Start Freelance Writing?

Before you head off to browse the internet and forget what you’ve learned, let’s recap:

  • Set up a blog or website to showcase your content and act as a portfolio (and contact method).
  • You’ll need to have published content of some sort. Guest posting is low-hanging fruit for getting published.
  • Use the “upside down” method for finding companies that are known to pay freelance writers.
  • Don’t forget the outreach principles outlined in this article. They’ll help you stand out from the crowds and land your first gig.
  • Do everything humanly possible to get that first gig  and overdeliver value in any way you can. This will help with word of mouth referrals.
  • You’re not allowed to give up easily 😃

The path to making income through your writing is not an easy one, but it  is  doable with a bit of hustle!

So what are you waiting for?

Go execute!

I LOVE FIVERR…

Fiverr has been a trusted platform for me, where I've successfully completed numerous projects. While it's true that some sellers may not meet expectations, this is a risk inherent to any freelance marketplace. However, I've been fortunate to work with many highly competent and exceptional sellers who have delivered outstanding results, exceeding my satisfaction. The platform's vast pool of talent and competitive pricing make it an attractive option for getting work done efficiently and effectively.

Not Up To The Task

Maybe I wasn't so lucky. The freelancers I got to work with were really not up to the task - quite frankly a waste of time and money. I guess they're cheap for a reason. I wouldn't recommend for professional work. Freelancer was quite rude and unprofessional.

Great idea but few details lacking

I think this site is great for up and coming technicians, and for those who need work done for a reasonable price eg a new website, but there are downsides. The Fiverr technician produced a very nice site for me, which was virtually a copy of my old site as my previous designer was retiring. It was done on time at his end but there was a lot more work to be done to complete it, and to be fair he did help out for a few weeks.Sadly now he does not reply to my queries in the fiver.com inbox, so I am rather left in the lurch, as the site is not really finished. I am a beginner and relied on my previous designer to help out when needed. It appears that you cannot do this with fiverr.com. I did pay a lot of money for the service and would have liked a bit more help.

Fiver automatically changed the order…

Fiver automatically changed the order to completed when the work was not approved. Prior to starting this order via direct with the vendor I specifically asked if they felt they could not perform the task not to take it. Their work was very poor from the start taking my quality rough draft and making it look as though a 5 year old did it. We made several revisions but they never provided any creative direction on their own. I continually asked and provided specific direction as to how to amend the design... fiver closed the order before it was complete.

Excellent for Freelancers

Excellent for Freelancers looking to grow their business. The only downfall I have is the new rating experience. I've got a success score of 8, with a 5 star rating, and it doesn't tell me clearly how to improve my success score. Plenty of other people on community forums wondering the same thing. If they were clear on what we needed to do and how they rated our success score, I'd give them 5 stars.

URGENT ALERT

URGENT ALERT I have been developing my account on Fiverr, and when it was time to be enjoying the account the account was flagged, which I see it might be mistake by the bot when Fiverr was flagging account because i don't see the reason why the account is been flagged, my account is a Nigeria account and there I no location inconsistency. Please look into this the account is so much precious to me and that's is the time the account should start ranking but they flagged it 😣

These game developers are not really…

These game developers are not really about there business,They have set prices but want to charge you more, and after a job they act like they don't want to respond after they got your money for more work.I don't want to call out names but it seems they all do the same thing. If you don't like the prices you set then change them because you shouldn't start your conversion with what's your budget if you have prices there to choose from. This is sad cause it seems these people are not happy with there job but I guess this how the new world works.

I'm the next one suing them

I don't even know where to start - quite frankly it makes me sick. It all started off with a small, fixable bug. When you google my company "Twibit Web Solutions" (as i have the same name in my gig) my fiverr page comes up - except with a dismal 1.3 star rating rather than the 4.3 stars I have. I reached out to them many times and their responses were after a week: "We haven't forgot about you". I complained many times and they closed my ticket, marking it as "Solved" when they clearly said, and I quote, "Due to the scale of the update required, it may take some time to implement, so I will be closing this ticket in the meantime. " WHAT ON EARTH!!! I have never seen such poor customer service ever! I recommend, to EVERYONE, DON'T GET INVOLVED WITH THE COMPANY. I will be trying to sue them after the bug causing damage financially and damage to my company's reputation if they dont offer any compensation. Note: they took about a week to send the closing response. I have one word for you Fiverr: DISGUSTING.

Waste of time

Created a user account through the android app to find a masterer for a song I've produced. I activated the account via email and within 5 minutes the account was banned due to a 'Breach of Terms and Conditions'. I haven't even set my profile up and I'm banned? What for? Also the ban email has a nice touch of saying 'There's no need to contact support', how charming. They're clearly using some kind of AI to ban accounts and it's a very poor one. Multiple instances here on trust pilot of people getting their accounts banned for no reason and no explanation. I'm just glad I hadn't parted with any money yet. Don't even bother using Fiverr. Utter waste of time. UPDATE EDIT: So after contacting support and waiting a day they have reinstated my account. However no reasoning was given for the ban in the first place. Just an email saying 'Hi, here's your account back'. I'm grateful for that and will change from 1 star to 3 but still stand by my review that some over zealous AI is randomly swinging the ban hammer around and who knows when it might happen again, particularly worrying if there are funds in the account or an open project.

Fiverr.com - Honest Escrow Service-provider Between Freelancers and "Sellers"

Honest escrow service-provider who makes sure freelancers are not paid till projects are completed satisfactorily. What I dislike: Freelancers who cannot even start the project I post, respond to me with their past work or expertise that is totally different from what I had described. The bulk of which seems to come from Muslim Pakistanis and Bangladeshis. There should be a Block Future Communication with this Freelancer feature.

Fiverr is a really good service however…

Fiverr is a really good service however they do need to crack down on scammers. It seems they focus on the wrong things as they have a massive scammer issue yet they focus on the length of your gig title... Other than that though I wouldn't fault them. Definitely recommended just be careful and DO NOT give ANYONE your email.

Top Rated Seller Experience

I have been a Fiverr seller for nearly 7 years now, although the bulk of that work is in the last 4-5. Currently I am Level 2, having previously been Top Rated and have no issues. I get the odd scam message but they're normally deleted before I even have a chance to read them, but they aren't an issue. Payouts are quick, I've also used their Seller Plus program and it's great. Those complaining about now getting sales, that's down to you. Write better descriptions, better 'About Me' text, ensure you're pricing is good. And yes that does sometimes mean starting off cheap. I sell a service for minimum $150 which, when I started, I was selling for only $25. You have to grow and gain trust of both Fiverr and your users.

Claimed Copyright on my own work & disabled account

Just recently went full-time freelance so I'm trying to put myself out there on all the platforms. I built my profile out adding gigs and samples of my work, all work that I created for the client themselves and mockups I made myself to display it. A month later I got an email that they claimed copyright infringement on my work and disabled my account without any opportunity to ask questions or rectify the situation. Don't waste your time building a profile when they could delete it with no explanation and ban you from making another account.

I was harassed by a user

I was harassed by a user. When I reported it, I was gaslit snd called a homophobic slur by "customer support" worker "Maia." It was just one user, but I ended up losing several hundred dollars due to unfinished projects that I had no way of collecting. There are other freelancing platforms and I highly recommend using them. Fiverr is a scam.

Lack of empathy, used and discarded

Good afternoon, You have deactivated my account (user name blaugris ).The reason? I didn't fulfill some new tax information requirements (I am European and live in Europe). Well, I received notices to update this information, but I didn't see them and therefore couldn't do it. I have been a long time in the hospital, seriously ill, and, in these hard conditions, I lost sight of the world. When I finally manage to recover and I can finally resume my activity, I find this. I have been on fiverr for over ten years, both as a customer and as a seller. I have never violated any rules, just this forgetfulness. To me it seems unfair, I don't feel well treated. You are within your rights from a legal point of view, but I miss a bit of empathy. It is not abundant in this world and even less on the internet. Greetings

The world's best freelancing work…

The world's best freelancing work website. I'm working as an architectural designer user name j_deshapriya . so this website is trying to develop our experience on the webinar. and their safety was good. anyone can work and give job here.

Designer Was Great, Fiverr's Shady

I worked with an excellent designer, Amir K. It was a pleasure and I recommend highly. However, I was expecting to receive a competed package rather than disparate elements. Fiverr then sent me a message thanking me for a $29 tip (?), $33.41 including fees. I wonder if Amir received any of it.I haven't received my copyright confirmation either. It's left a very bad taste in my mouth.

Full of scammers who claim they can do…

Full of scammers who claim they can do the job, flash some work which in many cases is not their own work. Many are "middelman". Three projects in a row which ended with a non-delivery but they took the money anyway. Fiverr is not recommendable, often faster and better to do it your self.

For a seller, Fiverr leaves a lot to be desired

I am a seller with almost 1000 5-star reviews, 2 4-star and 0 others - never made a mistake, always provided top-tier service to my customers. I made almost 15 000$ in revenue so far. After taking some time off this platform (3 years). I've returned and found some new features implemented, such as Success score. All things regarding leveling depend on this Success score. After getting back to platform, I had a Success score of 0 - logical, since I was off for 3 years. I have contacted the support, and I've been told that I need minimum of 5 orders to get this score calculated. Soon enough, I've got 2 orders, completed them, and got 5-star reviews, customers were very satisfied. The third order was created by the customer, who had their guy fix the issue very soon after that, so they wanted to cancel the order. I agreed and we got it canceled. Before that, I have contacted Fiverr support to see if this cancelation will affect my Succsess score. They told me it won't. And after a day or two - my Success score went to 4 (this is bad, since the minimum for the next level is 5), and I am very handicapped by having no level assigned. Not sure how this is possible since I was told I need min of 5 orders to get a Success score counted AND I was told it won't affect my score. After contacting the support once more, I've got a generic answer, providing no answer to my questions: "The model takes many factors into account and is more than just a straightforward sum of numbers. It is a multi-layered data science model." This advanced data science model can't provide me with a fair and accurate Success score, meaning it is not very scientific at all. Not happy with the support response and with the way Fiverr is measuring Success score, with no way to fix their own errors in doing so. For a company that takes 20% of the revenue, and takes an additional fee from the buyer, I expect more. EDIT 1: Fiverr replied to this review, and I have posted update on my support ticket asking additional question and when should I expect my success score go to up. Will update on further development.

Fiverr

Fiverr is an online marketplace that connects freelancers with businesses and individuals in need of their services. With its wide range of categories, competitive pricing, and quality assurance, Fiverr helps businesses and individuals find the right freelancer for their projects.

Featured in

│Fiverr Review

Fiverr is an online marketplace that links freelancers with paying clients. It’s an innovative platform that solely operates online, allowing users to generate flexible income.

Our trusty guide reviews Fiverr’s key features by identifying its pros and cons, describing how it works, listing Fiverr’s exclusive tools, stating user costs, and explaining how you, as a buyer or seller, might benefit from this site.

– Best for freelancers and independent buyers.
Fiverr allows freelancers to sell their unique services to buyers with projects.

│ Pros And Cons

Fiverr is a super welcoming workspace that sellers and buyers access globally. Pros and cons can be subjective to the individual, as everyone uses Fiverr to align with their unique requirements.

Let’s look at some of the main pros and cons sellers and buyers may experience while using Fiverr:

Opportunity to make passive income

Fiverr is handy for freelancers to earn additional income on top of their regular salary. It offers sellers the flexibility to market themselves at a price they feel best reflects their services.

Great place for sellers to start a freelance business

Attracting new clients challenges aspiring freelancers when establishing their business. Fiverr offers these individuals a platform to connect with buyers without multi-channel promotion. Working with buyers helps freelancers build their portfolio, receive positive reviews from clients and attain organic business.

Buyers can find freelancers with niche skills

Fiverr’s huge range of categories may feel enticing to buyers, as they’re more likely to find freelancers with expertise in a specific task or specialty. Demand can range from proofreading to astrology.

Freelancers can broaden their skills:

Regular sellers can get plenty of practice in their trade and strengthen their business acumen. They’ll refine their communication style with clients, develop good time management to meet buyers’ deadlines, and improve accountability. Sellers may also feel encouraged to learn a new trade to broaden their services.

Accessible and easy-to-use site:

It’s easy to become a buyer or seller once you’ve verified your account. Sellers can proceed to market their services, while buyers can browse subcategories freely or use the search bar to locate the required skills.

Sellers can receive immediate payment

Fiverr processes invoices with the necessary deductions within 14 days. This advantage means sellers won’t have to wait 30-90 days, as they may have to on alternative freelance sites.

Fiverr takes a cut of your earnings

Naturally, Fiverr takes a 20% cut of all profits for the convenience of using the site. For sellers, such as those that list cheaper or more minor tasks for a lower price, this deduction could significantly affect their total take-home pay, which could demotivate users.

Unresponsive buyers

Freelancers must communicate with clients to ensure they deliver work that meets the client’s brief perfectly. Completing a good piece of work can feel like a real challenge when clients stop responding to queries.

Room for deceitful behavior

Although Fiverr’s review section offers many benefits, it also allows deceptive buyers to leave negative reviews, even after receiving satisfactory work. In some circumstances, they may do this to avoid payment. Similarly, sellers can exaggerate their skill level to attract investors. These buyers may feel disappointed when receiving work, not of the desired quality.

Fiverr AdvantagesFiverr Disadvantages

Explore Fiverr for free! If you’re new to the freelance game, advertising your services on Fiverr can be a great way to build rapport with new clients and make additional money.

│What Is Fiverr?

Fiverr is a marketplace connecting freelancers with buyers looking to outsource a service. Its mission is to make buying and selling expertise as easy as purchasing common goods on familiar e-commerce sites.

Fiverr contains over 500 categories, including:

Copywriting, translation, proofreading, and editing.
Branding, illustration, signage, website design, app design.
Voice overs, composers, singers, and vocalists.
Social media management, search engine optimization (SEO), and advertising.

Don’t be deceived. The site isn’t just for creatives! Although a big hit with media freelancers, services also branch out into

Market research, proposal writing, customer care, financial, human resource, and legal consulting.
Cybersecurity, electronic engineering, NFT website development, and gaming.
Data analysis, management, visualization, and optimization.

As of 2020, Fiverr hosts a community of over 3.4 million active buyers . This number has likely risen as the platform reports a consistent upwards trend in the number of yearly users that benefit from the site. Its international reach finds Fiverr in use in over 160 countries, predominantly in the US, UK, Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, and Nigeria.

Highlights Of Fiverr
It’s easy for sellers of all backgrounds to market their expertise to an impressive community of active buyers.
Fiverr welcomes professionals of all skill levels to list their services, allowing them to develop personally and professionally.
From a buyer’s perspective, Fiverr’s outstanding range of categories means they’re likely to find a freelancer that meets their needs. Likewise, freelancers from all industries can make money.
Fiverr’s international reach allows users to connect with others overseas, which enables buyers to receive fresh perspectives.

│How Does It Work?

Fiverr has two core functions: allow freelancers to sell services and help buyers to purchase services. You’ll need an account to access buying and selling features on Fiverr.

Buyers and sellers exchange business using advertisements called Gigs. The number of gigs a seller completes depends on their level

Starting level
Level 1 sellers
Level 2 sellers
Level 3, or Top Rated Sellers

Fiverr bases levels on monthly performance, time spent as an active seller, star-rating over a set period, and response rate. Fiverr uses levels to categorize high performers, commitment to Fiverr, and reputation. Climbing the levels is a good initiative for those looking to progress as a Freelancer.

It’s possible to drop levels when a seller’s performance significantly drops, for example, consistently missing deadlines, late cancellations on orders, and decreased output quality.

Buyers use gigs to analyze these details and determine whether they want to invest in a seller’s services. Gigs also display the seller’s offerings, pricing strategy, and reviews.

Buyers and sellers can communicate via Fiverr’s communication platform. Here, buyers can deliver specifics about their brief. For example, a Proofreader may need to know how many words buyers expect them to read.

Payment also goes directly through Fiverr, which takes a 20% cut from all earnings. Buyers pay per project rather than an hourly rate. There’s sometimes an option to subscribe to specific sellers if buyers have ongoing work.

│Fiverr’s Primary Features

Usage

│Fiverr Cost And Time

Time and cost rely solely on the seller and the package you purchase from them. As a buyer, the higher the package level you select, the more you’re likely to pay. Sellers usually share a starting price, although this may change depending on your proposed project.

Sellers also disclose the delivery time, but you can likely discuss deadlines with them via the ‘Contact Seller’ option on gigs. Fiverr allows you to refine your search according to price, allowing you to find services within your budget.

│How Versatile is Fiverr?

Fiverr’s accessibility is undoubtedly one of its key market advantages. Its simple sign-up process only asks for basic details like a verified email address, username, and password. Fiverr then officiates sellers by asking for government identification like a passport or driver’s license, offering a sense of security to its community.

The website is user-friendly with search refining tools to help buyers navigate their way to the required service. Gigs are separated into square tiles for improved visibility. Simple graphics and embedded guidance videos accompany most pages for enhanced user experience.

Creating a gig is just as easy. Sellers simply need to name their service, tag the category and fill out the necessary descriptions, which is great for those with minimal experience in online selling.

The bottom of each page offers a small directory of Fiverr’s other features, making them easy to reach.

│Fiverr Subscription Cost

Fiverr does not charge a registration fee. It simply takes a 20% cut of the seller’s total earning per project.

Additional subscriptions or paid services are totally optional. Pricing is as follows:

Repeat subscriptions

Buyers can pay a 3-6 month renewable subscription fee to complete ongoing work with specific sellers. The seller decides all pricing.

Fiverr Seller Plus

$29 per month subscription fee. No annual plan or discount is offered. Users pay the fee until they cancel the subscription.

Fiverr Workspace

Advanced membership for sellers that offers unlimited benefits, like unlimited clients, customizable contracts, and personalized branding, for $24 monthly or $18 annually, which saves you 25%.

Writing Jobs from Fiverr: A Guide to $50 Writing Gigs

Fiverr is a unique website based on a simple idea. You say what you’ll do for $5. Buyers then pay you to do just that. If you want a steady income from short writing jobs, it might be just what you’ve been looking for.

The surprise is that you can earn much more than $5 per task.

In fact, my biggest order has been $140. My average is $16.

Here’s how I do it.

By making a few changes, your Fiverr orders will go from $5 to $15 and even $50. And if you’re not already on Fiverr, these tips may convince you to start selling. (To learn more about Fiverr, read our previous guide. )

How I Made $140 with One Fiverr Gig

I started out by mostly writing bios in the 100–250 word range for $5 each. Along the way, I had a few clients tell me they had been unsatisfied with other Fiverr writers. These clients liked my work, so they left good feedback. This put me in a great place in terms of popularity, and soon I was taking on several Gigs at a time. However, I was still only making $5 per assignment.

So late last year, I decided to take a break from Fiverr to pursue other writing jobs. That didn’t last too long. Two months later, in need of a paycheck, I returned, but I did so with an adamant promise to propel my income. To start with, I took a look at what some Top–Rated Sellers were doing, and lo-and-behold, one seller held the answer.

I saw that the seller, Nystrele , also offered bio writing, but his approach was drastically different from mine. When I saw his page, I was stunned. His take on Fiverr opened my eyes and single–handedly helped my revenue skyrocket.

So what’s the secret?

For $5, Nystrele provides “a robust 2–3 sentence summary.” Instead of the whole meal for five bucks, he offers an appetizer. The good stuff is in the Gig Extras, where he charges up to $100 for longer bios. And even though tons of other sellers will write full bios for $5, Nystrele’s sales are flourishing, and he’s backed by a glowing 4.8 rating from over a thousand buyers.

That’s the kind of money I wanted to make, and I quickly changed my pricing structure. I now also offer a 2–3 sentence bio for $5, and my rate for a 250 word bio is $55. It’s a win-win all around––I get a bigger slice of the pie, and the clients I work with tend to be more serious. This simple strategy was solely responsible for a massive spike in my income, and since then, Fiverr has become a trustworthy stream of revenue for me.

And here’s the best news of all: You can do the same thing.

How You Can Be a Fiverr Champion

Fiverr’s platform for sellers is arranged so that the basic $5 Gig appears to be the most important thing. However, if you want to get the most out of Fiverr, you need to think the other way around.

The big secret lies in Gig Extras, the add-ons that you can offer to complement your Gigs. Fiverr markets them as just that: add-ons. However, Gig Extras are the secret weapon to making real money on Fiverr. They should be called Gig Necessities, as they’re anything but extras.

I’ll walk you through one of my own Gigs so you can get a feel for the finer details of this pricing method. One of my most popular Gigs is called “I will write original website content for you.” After I pitch myself to the client in the Gig description, I explain the prices. $5 will get them an outline with ideas and terms specific to their area of work. When they need more––and they almost always do––they take a look at my Gig Extras. Here’s a breakdown of my Extras for that Gig:

– $10: Thorough research of an agreed–upon topic

– $20: Write up to 100 words of original content

– $50: Write up to 250 words of original content

That’s what my clients are often looking for, and nine times out of ten, they’re more than happy to pay for it. I treat my $5 Gig as a brief consultation, so the $20 price range is where the work really starts. I do offer a $10 Extra that looks like a good deal, but it won’t do much good unless the client purchases the $20 or $50 service. Everything on my page is geared toward making at least $25 (basic Gig order of $5 plus a minimum $20 extra). Without even knowing so, the client is being persuaded.

The Appearance of Choice

You can easily modify this pricing structure to suit your niche. Maybe you specialize in writing product copy. For $5, you could provide a two-sentence description of the client’s product. If they need more than that––and they almost always do––they can look at your Gig Extras, where a 100-word description costs, say, $25.

The key here is to give the client the appearance of choice while implicitly guiding them to a minimum amount, as I do on my page by offering an Extra that’s no good with the basic $5 gig. For the Extra to really produce results, the client needs to purchase more.

In the same way, you should gear everything on your Gig page to a specific financial goal. One way is to use the Extra technique I described. Another way is to use comparative pricing. Say the client sees these two Extras on your page:

– I will write 75 words of ad copy for you ($20)

– I will write 100 words of SEO optimized ad copy ($30)

The client is much more likely to choose the second Extra. It’s a nice, round number (100 looks a whole lot bigger than 75 on paper), the ad copy is SEO optimized, and it’s only $10 more. This subtly persuades your client to invest at least $35 in your services.

And that’s the big secret to making the most of Fiverr. By placing the real work in the Extras and directing attention toward them, your average Gig sale will rise far above five bucks.

Start Low, Aim High

To guarantee results, I recommend starting with lower prices. This was a vital precursor to my Fiverr success and helped build my brand. Of course, you can skip this step if you see fit, but clients might be a bit hesitant to purchase a $50 Gig from a seller with only a few reviews.

As I mentioned, I started out by selling lots of $5 Gigs, and the reviews I got from those Gigs helped build my reputation. That’s one reason my clients are so willing to pay premium prices for something they can get for $5 elsewhere. They see that others have confirmed my quality, and that helps them decide to invest in my services.

Even though it doesn’t pay off immediately, it might be better in the long run if you start by pricing your services on the lower end. $10 for a 100–word biography might not seem like a lot, but after you complete several of those Gigs, you can raise your prices and have great reviews to back you up. The good feedback you receive early on will communicate quality to future clients who will pay good money.

No matter where you start, you can use this strategy to turn Fiverr into a serious source of income. If you’re not currently on Fiverr, I would recommend trying it out for a little. Though you do have to wait 2 weeks after a Gig to get paid, in some cases it’s well worth it. Whether you’re new to the site or a veteran seller, by using the pricing technique I’ve described, you will not only make more money than other sellers, but also have a rhetorical advantage over your competition.

Urgent Request for Review and Reconsideration of Account Strike and Restrictions

Asked by vest_best , Sunday at 06:25 AM

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to express my concern regarding the recent strike and restrictions placed on my Fiverr account for allegedly engaging in the practice of buying fake reviews. I want to assure you that this accusation is unfounded, as all the reviews I have received are the genuine result of the work I have completed for my clients. The reviews left by my buyers have been given voluntarily, without any solicitation or request on my part.

I take great pride in the quality of work I deliver, and my reputation on Fiverr is of utmost importance to me. This situation has had a significant impact on my business, and I respectfully request a thorough review of the evidence that led to this action. I am confident that a detailed examination will reveal that all my reviews are legitimate and based on the actual services I have provided.

I would greatly appreciate your assistance in resolving this matter as quickly as possible, as the restrictions on my account are affecting my ability to serve my clients and maintain my business on Fiverr. If there is any additional information or documentation I can provide to support my case, please let me know, and I will be more than happy to provide it.

I am writing to express my deep concern and seek clarification regarding the recent suspension of my account. I have always strived to maintain the highest standards of professionalism and integrity in all my interactions on your platform, and I am genuinely perplexed by this action.

To the best of my knowledge, I have not violated any of the platform's Terms of Service. I have consistently delivered work that aligns with the specifications and expectations of my buyers, ensuring their complete satisfaction. At no point have I engaged in any activities that could be construed as coercing or forcing buyers to leave a review. All feedback left by my clients has been voluntary and a reflection of their genuine satisfaction with the quality of work I provide.

Over the years, I have worked diligently to build a strong reputation and a trustworthy network of clients. My account is not just a source of income but also a testament to the hard work and dedication I have invested in this platform. Losing it would have a significant and lasting impact on my professional journey, and I am deeply concerned about the potential ramifications.

I kindly request a thorough review of my account's activities and a detailed explanation of the reasons behind this suspension. If there has been any misunderstanding or error, I would greatly appreciate the opportunity to address and resolve it promptly. My goal has always been to contribute positively to the platform and to maintain the trust of both my clients and the platform itself.

Take a follow-up in the same ticket (instead of creating a new one). The first response is always automated (in case of flag accounts), but by following up again, a real person may address your query.

No, the support team is flooded with tickets. They can't answer on short notice. You're going to have to be patient.

I hope that you get an answer soon.

How hard is it to generate something to copy/paste from--or to have an automated response--according to what the system found?

Keeping people in the dark when their account gets restricted is inhumane. Then again, so was cutting off all sellers living in a certain region of the world. That didn't seem to have much of the intended effect; it just kept people from eating and being housed.

People do wait a long time for responses, especially if they don't have a Seller Plus subscription. It's also common to receive a vague copy/paste response after waiting so long.

What a Thesis Paper is and How to Write One

A student sitting at her laptop working on her college thesis paper.

From choosing a topic and conducting research to crafting a strong argument, writing a thesis paper can be a rewarding experience.

It can also be a challenging experience. If you've never written a thesis paper before, you may not know where to start. You may not even be sure exactly what a thesis paper is. But don't worry; the right support and resources can help you navigate this writing process.

What is a Thesis Paper?

Shana Chartier, director of information literacy at SNHU.

A thesis paper is a type of academic essay that you might write as a graduation requirement for certain bachelor's, master's or honors programs. Thesis papers present your own original research or analysis on a specific topic related to your field.

“In some ways, a thesis paper can look a lot like a novella,” said Shana Chartier , director of information literacy at Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU). “It’s too short to be a full-length novel, but with the standard size of 40-60 pages (for a bachelor’s) and 60-100 pages (for a master’s), it is a robust exploration of a topic, explaining one’s understanding of a topic based on personal research.”

Chartier has worked in academia for over 13 years and at SNHU for nearly eight. In her role as an instructor and director, Chartier has helped to guide students through the writing process, like editing and providing resources.

Chartier has written and published academic papers such as "Augmented Reality Gamifies the Library: A Ride Through the Technological Frontier" and "Going Beyond the One-Shot: Spiraling Information Literacy Across Four Years." Both of these academic papers required Chartier to have hands-on experience with the subject matter. Like a thesis paper, they also involved hypothesizing and doing original research to come to a conclusion.

“When writing a thesis paper, the importance of staying organized cannot be overstated,” said Chartier. “Mapping out each step of the way, making firm and soft deadlines... and having other pairs of eyes on your work to ensure academic accuracy and clean editing are crucial to writing a successful paper.”

How Do I Choose a Topic For My Thesis Paper?

Rochelle Attari, a peer tutor at SNHU.

What your thesis paper is for will determine some of the specific requirements and steps you might take, but the first step is usually the same: Choosing a topic.

“Choosing a topic can be daunting," said Rochelle Attari , a peer tutor at SNHU. "But if (you) stick with a subject (you're) interested in... choosing a topic is much more manageable.”

Similar to a thesis, Attari recently finished the capstone  for her bachelor’s in psychology . Her bachelor’s concentration is in forensics, and her capstone focused on the topic of using a combined therapy model for inmates who experience substance abuse issues to reduce recidivism.

“The hardest part was deciding what I wanted to focus on,” Attari said. “But once I nailed down my topic, each milestone was more straightforward.”

In her own writing experience, Attari said brainstorming was an important step when choosing her topic. She recommends writing down different ideas on a piece of paper and doing some preliminary research on what’s already been written on your topic.

By doing this exercise, you can narrow or broaden your ideas until you’ve found a topic you’re excited about. " Brainstorming is essential when writing a paper and is not a last-minute activity,” Attari said.

How Do I Structure My Thesis Paper?

Thesis papers tend to have a standard format with common sections as the building blocks.

While the structure Attari describes below will work for many theses, it’s important to double-check with your program to see if there are any specific requirements. Writing a thesis for a Master of Fine Arts, for example, might actually look more like a fiction novel.

According to Attari, a thesis paper is often structured with the following major sections:

Introduction

  • Literature review
  • Methods, results

Now, let’s take a closer look at what each different section should include.

A blue and white icon of a pencil writing on lines

Your introduction is your opportunity to present the topic of your thesis paper. In this section, you can explain why that topic is important. The introduction is also the place to include your thesis statement, which shows your stance in the paper.

Attari said that writing an introduction can be tricky, especially when you're trying to capture your reader’s attention and state your argument.

“I have found that starting with a statement of truth about a topic that pertains to an issue I am writing about typically does the trick,” Attari said. She demonstrated this advice in an example introduction she wrote for a paper on the effects of daylight in Alaska:

In the continental United States, we can always count on the sun rising and setting around the same time each day, but in Alaska, during certain times of the year, the sun rises and does not set for weeks. Research has shown that the sun provides vitamin D and is an essential part of our health, but little is known about how daylight twenty-four hours a day affects the circadian rhythm and sleep.

In the example Attari wrote, she introduces the topic and informs the reader what the paper will cover. Somewhere in her intro, she said she would also include her thesis statement, which might be:

Twenty-four hours of daylight over an extended period does not affect sleep patterns in humans and is not the cause of daytime fatigue in northern Alaska .

Literature Review

In the literature review, you'll look at what information is already out there about your topic. “This is where scholarly articles  about your topic are essential,” said Attari. “These articles will help you find the gap in research that you have identified and will also support your thesis statement."

Telling your reader what research has already been done will help them see how your research fits into the larger conversation. Most university libraries offer databases of scholarly/peer-reviewed articles that can be helpful in your search.

In the methods section of your thesis paper, you get to explain how you learned what you learned. This might include what experiment you conducted as a part of your independent research.

“For instance,” Attari said, “if you are a psychology major and have identified a gap in research on which therapies are effective for anxiety, your methods section would consist of the number of participants, the type of experiment and any other particulars you would use for that experiment.”

In this section, you'll explain the results of your study. For example, building on the psychology example Attari outlined, you might share self-reported anxiety levels for participants trying different kinds of therapies. To help you communicate your results clearly, you might include data, charts, tables or other visualizations.

The discussion section of your thesis paper is where you will analyze and interpret the results you presented in the previous section. This is where you can discuss what your findings really mean or compare them to the research you found in your literature review.

The discussion section is your chance to show why the data you collected matters and how it fits into bigger conversations in your field.

The conclusion of your thesis paper is your opportunity to sum up your argument and leave your reader thinking about why your research matters.

Attari breaks the conclusion down into simple parts. “You restate the original issue and thesis statement, explain the experiment's results and discuss possible next steps for further research,” she said.

Resources to help write your thesis paper.

While your thesis paper may be based on your independent research, writing it doesn’t have to be a solitary process. Asking for help and using the resources that are available to you can make the process easier.

If you're writing a thesis paper, some resources Chartier encourages you to use are:

  • Citation Handbooks: An online citation guide or handbook can help you ensure your citations are correct. APA , MLA and Chicago styles have all published their own guides.
  • Citation Generators: There are many citation generator tools that help you to create citations. Some — like RefWorks — even let you directly import citations from library databases as you research.
  • Your Library's Website: Many academic and public libraries allow patrons to access resources like databases or FAQs. Some FAQs at the SNHU library that might be helpful in your thesis writing process include “ How do I read a scholarly article? ” or “ What is a research question and how do I develop one? ”

It can also be helpful to check out what coaching or tutoring options are available through your school. At SNHU, for example, the Academic Support Center offers writing and grammar workshops , and students can access 24/7 tutoring and 1:1 sessions with peer tutors, like Attari.

"Students can even submit their papers and receive written feedback... like revisions and editing suggestions," she said.

If you are writing a thesis paper, there are many resources available to you. It's a long paper, but with the right mindset and support, you can successfully navigate the process.

“Pace yourself,” said Chartier. “This is a marathon, not a sprint. Setting smaller goals to get to the big finish line can make the process seem less daunting, and remember to be proud of yourself and celebrate your accomplishment once you’re done. Writing a thesis is no small task, and it’s important work for the scholarly community.”

[ADVICE] Is it worth leaving a 1* review over a client re writing a whole text?

I got a gig on fivver to write an article for a client, and I found the topic and narrative very interesting, so i put a lot of effort into the text. The client said it would be published on a famous and trafficked website, but upon delivery the client completely changed the text to include unnecessary details that take away from the flow of the story. Overall my experience working with this client hasn't been the best and I will definitely not be working with him again, but I am curious whether or not its worth leaving a 1* review, or pushing back on the issue with the client?
