It is an excursion in everybody’s Life wherein we need to cross the extension of death to have the option to wake up to an actual existence endless. Human Life is genuinely an exceptionally valuable blessing. Every snapshot of human Life conveys us a chance to act to create and communicate. Each second opens the way for us to get gifts. The reality is that Life gives us both positive and negative circumstances. What is extremely significant is how we respond to it.

Ultimately, I will infer that we should make Life advantageous. It ought to be with the affection for our loved ones that Life can be made delightful. Life can be progressively excellent and deliberate by releasing our family obligations, busy working, society, and the world on the loose.

In the end, it will get us to our destination, our meaning in life. The road isn't always going to be a plane; in fact, we're going to face many challenges along our journeys.

Our bravery, talents, vulnerabilities, and confidence will always be checked by these challenges. We may meet obstacles along our way that will come between the paths, and we are doomed to take them. The school is the first place where people can get education and knowledge. It is a platform that enhances one's personality. In Hinduism, school is called the "temple of knowledge".

School days are one of everyone's favorite memories. It is known to be the best phase of one's life. My school days were a learning experience for me. where I started learning the alphabets and can now solve real-world problems. What I learned in school will always be with me. It was an unforgettable journey that I will cherish for the rest of my life.

I studied at a school that taught me etiquette, time management, and discipline. It has the capacity to produce toppers. The best quality of my school is that, apart from academics, it also focuses on sports.

My school holds a variety of science quizzes and sports competitions to help students improve their grades. My school is a home where my teachers are like parents and my friends are like family who care for each other. My school has taught me self-discipline. Schools have a great culture and environment.

We do know that the first and last days of our school were memorable days. We arrive at school with an empty bag, and we leave with a bag full of memories, learnings, and emotions.

School teaches us what is right and wrong, good and bad, the importance of discipline, and the importance of time. Teachers encourage students to grow intellectually. Teachers play an extraordinary role in transmitting their knowledge to students.

School is a place where we socialize, grow, learn, and establish ourselves . Teachers guide us when we are in need. Teachers are known as the foundation of any educational institution.

Before entering the real world, students learn how to think at school. Students are exposed to new ideas, and they are encouraged to develop their critical thinking. Consuming knowledge in new subjects can improve children's skills and help them grow exponentially.

We also learn about teamwork through different activities. They offer a variety of activities to help teams function better. They aid in the preparation, guidance, and training of the bright mind for the future. The best schools always produce the best students.

There is a famous saying that "one book, one pen, one child, and one teacher can change the whole world."

My School Experience

My high school helped me grow as a person inside and outside of the classroom by making me more confident and independent. My school has taught me the importance of independence. My high school days are fully filled with fun and excitement .

In high school, one becomes mature enough to understand the values. In that phase, I learned to direct myself. I learned about hard work and dedication toward my goal. My friends used to guide me when I was in need. I have some good pictures of them. The pictures from my school days are the best memories. I remember the days when we used to participate in extracurricular activities.

I have good memories of middle school. It was not just into academics and sports but also included music, dance, and some indoor games. My school had a library where different types of books were placed. It also used to have a robotics lab and a computer lab where highly trained staff helped us learn new skills. Our teachers not only taught the lessons but also helped us attend various competitions. I even represented my school in a quiz competition and won a prize for the school.

The biggest reason behind the success of my school is our principal. He is very active and disciplined, and his knowledge is commendable. The experiences we get in school life help us grow as humans. Everyone should remember that not everyone is fortunate enough to receive an education, so if the opportunity arises, one should seize it.

My School Speech for School Students

Short speech on my school.

Every school is special in its own way and the same is with my school as well. It is a place where people from different backgrounds and temperaments come together with the purpose to learn. It offers magic in the form of experiments in laboratories, sports in the field, creativity in the art room and more. Schools are a place where we get to make friends, learn new things and grow every day. In fact, it is so hard to imagine a world without schools. They are the first place where we learn about life and many other things. Similarly, my school plays the same role in my life.

My School’s Uniqueness

I study in a convent school which has centuries-old buildings. It has two buildings which divide into the senior category and junior category. The red walls of my school are the trademark of our uniqueness. They are renowned all over the city and have been so for many years.

Every school carries some uniqueness in some way and so does my school. It is the only school in the whole city to cover the largest area. Moreover, my school produces the highest number of toppers in the board exams.

Other than that, the big playground of my school has the most modern swings which the kids absolutely love. In addition, the science lab of my school has all the gear and equipment one requires to successfully carry out experiments.

Another accomplishment of school is that it has got the largest library in the whole town. It consists of every book you can ever think of in many languages and genres. Most importantly, my school’s staff is very loving and inspirational. They love and care for us like their own children.

My Second Home

It would be only fit to call my school my second home. After all, it is the place where I spend most of my time after my home. Not only that, the atmosphere in my school is so comfortable that it makes me feel at home.

I have always loved attending school and never miss out on an opportunity to do so. Further, it is my second home also because I have my friends here who are nothing less than family to me. Thus, they make my school life easier and full of joy. It is truly a blessing to have them in my life.

Most importantly, my school is my second home because it teaches me a lot of things each day. It is a safe space that allows me to grow every day and reach greater heights. As you all know, we have our parents and older siblings at home who protect us at all times.

Similarly, at my second home which is my school, I have my teachers and seniors. They make sure I reach my full potential and encourage me to do the right thing always.

Therefore, I will forever be grateful to my school for being a pillar of strength in my life. Everything that I learn here stays in my mind and heart forever. One day I will have to bid farewell to these beautiful red walls and inspiring teachers, but it won’t change anything. It is so because my school is a part of who I am and it’ll always remain the same for my entire life.

Steve Jobs’ 2005 Stanford Commencement Address

I am honored to be with you today at your commencement from one of the finest universities in the world. I never graduated from college. Truth be told, this is the closest I’ve ever gotten to a college graduation. Today I want to tell you three stories from my life. That’s it. No big deal. Just three stories.

The first story is about connecting the dots.

I dropped out of Reed College after the first 6 months, but then stayed around as a drop-in for another 18 months or so before I really quit. So why did I drop out?

It started before I was born. My biological mother was a young, unwed college graduate student, and she decided to put me up for adoption. She felt very strongly that I should be adopted by college graduates, so everything was all set for me to be adopted at birth by a lawyer and his wife. Except that when I popped out they decided at the last minute that they really wanted a girl. So my parents, who were on a waiting list, got a call in the middle of the night asking: “We have an unexpected baby boy; do you want him?” They said: “Of course.” My biological mother later found out that my mother had never graduated from college and that my father had never graduated from high school. She refused to sign the final adoption papers. She only relented a few months later when my parents promised that I would someday go to college.

And 17 years later I did go to college. But I naively chose a college that was almost as expensive as Stanford, and all of my working-class parents’ savings were being spent on my college tuition. After six months, I couldn’t see the value in it. I had no idea what I wanted to do with my life and no idea how college was going to help me figure it out. And here I was spending all of the money my parents had saved their entire life. So I decided to drop out and trust that it would all work out OK. It was pretty scary at the time, but looking back it was one of the best decisions I ever made. The minute I dropped out I could stop taking the required classes that didn’t interest me, and begin dropping in on the ones that looked interesting.

It wasn’t all romantic. I didn’t have a dorm room, so I slept on the floor in friends’ rooms, I returned Coke bottles for the 5¢ deposits to buy food with, and I would walk the 7 miles across town every Sunday night to get one good meal a week at the Hare Krishna temple. I loved it. And much of what I stumbled into by following my curiosity and intuition turned out to be priceless later on. Let me give you one example:

Reed College at that time offered perhaps the best calligraphy instruction in the country. Throughout the campus every poster, every label on every drawer, was beautifully hand calligraphed. Because I had dropped out and didn’t have to take the normal classes, I decided to take a calligraphy class to learn how to do this. I learned about serif and sans serif typefaces, about varying the amount of space between different letter combinations, about what makes great typography great. It was beautiful, historical, artistically subtle in a way that science can’t capture, and I found it fascinating.

None of this had even a hope of any practical application in my life. But 10 years later, when we were designing the first Macintosh computer, it all came back to me. And we designed it all into the Mac. It was the first computer with beautiful typography. If I had never dropped in on that single course in college, the Mac would have never had multiple typefaces or proportionally spaced fonts. And since Windows just copied the Mac, it’s likely that no personal computer would have them. If I had never dropped out, I would have never dropped in on this calligraphy class, and personal computers might not have the wonderful typography that they do. Of course it was impossible to connect the dots looking forward when I was in college. But it was very, very clear looking backward 10 years later.

Again, you can’t connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backward. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. You have to trust in something — your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever. This approach has never let me down, and it has made all the difference in my life.

My second story is about love and loss.

I was lucky — I found what I loved to do early in life. Woz and I started Apple in my parents’ garage when I was 20. We worked hard, and in 10 years Apple had grown from just the two of us in a garage into a $2 billion company with over 4,000 employees. We had just released our finest creation — the Macintosh — a year earlier, and I had just turned 30. And then I got fired. How can you get fired from a company you started? Well, as Apple grew we hired someone who I thought was very talented to run the company with me, and for the first year or so things went well. But then our visions of the future began to diverge and eventually we had a falling out. When we did, our Board of Directors sided with him. So at 30 I was out. And very publicly out. What had been the focus of my entire adult life was gone, and it was devastating.

I really didn’t know what to do for a few months. I felt that I had let the previous generation of entrepreneurs down — that I had dropped the baton as it was being passed to me. I met with David Packard and Bob Noyce and tried to apologize for screwing up so badly. I was a very public failure, and I even thought about running away from the valley. But something slowly began to dawn on me — I still loved what I did. The turn of events at Apple had not changed that one bit. I had been rejected, but I was still in love. And so I decided to start over.

I didn’t see it then, but it turned out that getting fired from Apple was the best thing that could have ever happened to me. The heaviness of being successful was replaced by the lightness of being a beginner again, less sure about everything. It freed me to enter one of the most creative periods of my life.

During the next five years, I started a company named NeXT, another company named Pixar, and fell in love with an amazing woman who would become my wife. Pixar went on to create the world’s first computer animated feature film,  Toy Story , and is now the most successful animation studio in the world. In a remarkable turn of events, Apple bought NeXT, I returned to Apple, and the technology we developed at NeXT is at the heart of Apple’s current renaissance. And Laurene and I have a wonderful family together.

I’m pretty sure none of this would have happened if I hadn’t been fired from Apple. It was awful tasting medicine, but I guess the patient needed it. Sometimes life hits you in the head with a brick. Don’t lose faith. I’m convinced that the only thing that kept me going was that I loved what I did. You’ve got to find what you love. And that is as true for your work as it is for your lovers. Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking. Don’t settle. As with all matters of the heart, you’ll know when you find it. And, like any great relationship, it just gets better and better as the years roll on. So keep looking until you find it. Don’t settle.

My third story is about death.

When I was 17, I read a quote that went something like: “If you live each day as if it was your last, someday you’ll most certainly be right.” It made an impression on me, and since then, for the past 33 years, I have looked in the mirror every morning and asked myself: “If today were the last day of my life, would I want to do what I am about to do today?” And whenever the answer has been “No” for too many days in a row, I know I need to change something.

Remembering that I’ll be dead soon is the most important tool I’ve ever encountered to help me make the big choices in life. Because almost everything — all external expectations, all pride, all fear of embarrassment or failure — these things just fall away in the face of death, leaving only what is truly important. Remembering that you are going to die is the best way I know to avoid the trap of thinking you have something to lose. You are already naked. There is no reason not to follow your heart.

About a year ago I was diagnosed with cancer. I had a scan at 7:30 in the morning, and it clearly showed a tumor on my pancreas. I didn’t even know what a pancreas was. The doctors told me this was almost certainly a type of cancer that is incurable, and that I should expect to live no longer than three to six months. My doctor advised me to go home and get my affairs in order, which is doctor’s code for prepare to die. It means to try to tell your kids everything you thought you’d have the next 10 years to tell them in just a few months. It means to make sure everything is buttoned up so that it will be as easy as possible for your family. It means to say your goodbyes.

I lived with that diagnosis all day. Later that evening I had a biopsy, where they stuck an endoscope down my throat, through my stomach and into my intestines, put a needle into my pancreas and got a few cells from the tumor. I was sedated, but my wife, who was there, told me that when they viewed the cells under a microscope the doctors started crying because it turned out to be a very rare form of pancreatic cancer that is curable with surgery. I had the surgery and I’m fine now.

This was the closest I’ve been to facing death, and I hope it’s the closest I get for a few more decades. Having lived through it, I can now say this to you with a bit more certainty than when death was a useful but purely intellectual concept:

No one wants to die. Even people who want to go to heaven don’t want to die to get there. And yet death is the destination we all share. No one has ever escaped it. And that is as it should be, because Death is very likely the single best invention of Life. It is Life’s change agent. It clears out the old to make way for the new. Right now the new is you, but someday not too long from now, you will gradually become the old and be cleared away. Sorry to be so dramatic, but it is quite true.

Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma — which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.

When I was young, there was an amazing publication called  The Whole Earth Catalog , which was one of the bibles of my generation. It was created by a fellow named Stewart Brand not far from here in Menlo Park, and he brought it to life with his poetic touch. This was in the late 1960s, before personal computers and desktop publishing, so it was all made with typewriters, scissors and Polaroid cameras. It was sort of like Google in paperback form, 35 years before Google came along: It was idealistic, and overflowing with neat tools and great notions.

Stewart and his team put out several issues of  The Whole Earth Catalog , and then when it had run its course, they put out a final issue. It was the mid-1970s, and I was your age. On the back cover of their final issue was a photograph of an early morning country road, the kind you might find yourself hitchhiking on if you were so adventurous. Beneath it were the words: “Stay Hungry. Stay Foolish.” It was their farewell message as they signed off. Stay Hungry. Stay Foolish. And I have always wished that for myself. And now, as you graduate to begin anew, I wish that for you.

It’s been a tumultuous graduation season, marked by cancelled speeches, relocated ceremonies, walkouts and protests, and, of course, a few controversies. At Ohio State University, entrepreneur Chris Pan delivered a speech that he later said he had written while on ayahuasca , while Harrison Butker, a professional football player, delivered a highly controversial speech to Benedictine College graduates, condemning COVID-19 lockdowns, the LGBTQ+ community, abortion and more.

But other speakers used the platform to address pressing issues in higher education, the world that today’s graduates are entering and other topics important to Generation Z.

On Democracy and Civic Duty

“There is no real choice this November. There is only the perpetuation, however flawed and feeble you might perceive it, of our fragile 249-year-old experiment or the entropy that will engulf and destroy us if we take the other route. When, as Mercy Otis Warren [an 18th century writer and activist] would say, ‘The checks of conscience are thrown aside and a deformed picture of the soul is revealed.’ The presumptive Republican nominee is the opioid of all opioids, an easy cure for what some believe is the solution to our myriad pains and problems, when, in fact, with him, you end up re-enslaved with an even bigger problem, a worse affliction and addiction, ‘a bigger delusion,’ James Baldwin would say, the author and finisher of our national existence, our national suicide as Mr. Lincoln prophesies. Do not be seduced by easy equalization. There is nothing equal about this equation. We are at an existential crossroads in our political and civic lives. This is a choice that could not be clearer.

“Choose honor over hypocrisy, virtue over vulgarity, discipline over dissipation, character over cleverness, sacrifice over self-indulgence. Do not lose your enthusiasm; in its Greek etymology the word enthusiasm means simply, ‘god in us.’ Serve your country. Insist that we fight the right wars. Denounce oppression everywhere. Convince your government, as Lincoln understood, that the real threat always and still comes from within this favored land. Insist that we support science and the arts, especially the arts. They have nothing to do with the actual defense of our country; they just make our country worth defending. Remember what Louis Brandeis said, ‘The most important political office is that of the private citizen.’ Vote. Please, vote. You indelibly underscore your citizenship, and most important, our kinship with each other when you do. Good luck and godspeed.”

On Missing Commencement

“I thought I was too cool to go through [my] commencement ceremony, and I thought I couldn’t afford, like, $80 for the gown or whatever. So I went to my friend Brian Zinda’s house to watch a basketball game. So for the past three decades, whenever I talk about this—because it’ll come up, especially if you’re going to give a speech at a college—people will ask you, ‘What do you remember about yours?’

“I always explain that the reason I have this vivid memory is because in this basketball game, which I think was March 15, 1994, this player named Kevin Johnson—who would later become the mayor of Sacramento—he had this amazing dunk over Hakeem Olajuwon on the left baseline where he came in and dunked over him.

“You can find it on YouTube; it’s sort of like the defining moment in this guy’s career. So whenever I can tell this anecdote, I always mention, ‘Oh, I didn’t go to my graduation, but I saw this amazing dunk by Kevin Johnson.’

“This anecdote, though, is kind of a lie. I am kind of lying when I say it.

“I did watch that basketball game, and I do remember it, but it’s not because of anything that actually happened in the game. It’s because I knew that I was purposefully skipping an event that was significant. I think unconsciously, I had convinced myself not to care about this experience, because I didn’t want to believe that it mattered.

“I didn’t like the idea of some moment in my life having any kind of—I don’t know, transformative meaning to it. I think I kind of just blocked it out.

“And now I would guess, there are probably some of you who are in this same position right now—like, you’re listening to this speech, and you’re like, ‘It’s boring,’ ‘I want this to be done,’ ‘This seems like a formal construct,’ ‘I’m doing this out of obligation for my parents.’

“A whole bunch of stuff. You might sort of feel like this is something you just got to get done.

“But here’s the truth. You’re going to remember this day whether you want to or not, because that’s how the human mind works.”

Huntington Beach middle school student expelled over unpresented 'patriotism' speech

HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. - A Huntington Beach middle school student is facing what some would call extreme consequences for a speech that he didn't present. The family of Jimmy Heyward received notification that he and his sisters are not allowed to attend St. Bonaventure, a private school, in the fall.

"My love for America is my motivation for running for commissioner of patriotism and school spirit," Jimmy Heyward said in his campaign speech, recorded in front of his home with his baby sister holding the "Make SBS Great Again" sign.

"It is an honor to live in this country," Jimmy continued in his speech, which he expected to address to the student body of St. Bonaventure Catholic School in May. However, he says the principal wouldn't allow it because he didn't follow her orders to remove the references to patriotism.

"I didn't remove the patriotic part of the speech, that's the most important part. I'm not removing it," said Heyward, the expelled student.

"Sadly, some people take citizenship for granted. Whether it is disrespecting the people who protect us or eating nachos during the national anthem at a sporting event," Jimmy continued in his speech.

Was patriotism the issue? Or was it his Trump-like sign-off?

"I will make spirit great again. I will make SBS great again," Jimmy concluded in his speech.

Instead of addressing his fellow students, he was forced to sit through the assembly. "That was humiliating," he said.

That might have been the worst of it, but as school let out for the summer, the Heyward family was notified that a decision had been made to "terminate your family's enrollment from St. Bonaventure." This means Jimmy and his two younger sisters will have to find new schools in the fall.

"Seeing how they just kind of wrote us off and thrown the girls in with it as well, I don't think that's a good environment to be sending my children to," said Hattie Ruggles, Jimmy’s mom.

FOX 11 contacted the school and the Diocese of Orange , but there was no response. The letter says the family violated the Christian code of conduct for creating a "smear campaign against the school and the administration," including creating an online petition to get the principal fired.

"We've just told the truth from day one, Jimmy's truth. And that's it. We're not smearing anything," said Ruggles.

St. Bonaventure Catholic School issued the following statement on Thursday:

"As a matter of campus policy, we do not comment on private student or family matters. However, St. Bonaventure Catholic School remains committed to the principles outlined in our Christian Code of Conduct and Parent Handbook. To that end, we expect all parents and students to uphold these standards, which are crucial to developing a respectful and supportive school community for all.

We will continue our Christ-centered, faith-based mission of fostering an environment where every student can thrive spiritually and academically."

Being school students is a very joyful and happy life but as you step in the real world you will realize the relevance of school and your teachers.

I would like to share my experience when I was in school, I was a very mischievous student and once I got a lot of scolding from my teacher for not completing my homework. That was the day when I complained about my teacher to my parents but they told me one thing that this time of your life you will miss once you are out of school.

Nobody would even bother what you are up to in your life. It is the same thing which my parents told me before. Yes, there will be no one to make you realize your mistakes and you will be responsible for your own deeds. This was just an example I gave you all to make you realize that this is your golden period. Enjoy this time in school to the fullest and value your teachers.

Once you will be out of the school there would be lots of pressure that you would have to handle, nobody will spoon-feed you and nobody would even pin point where you are going wrong. Even if you fail in life you would have to take the responsibility on your own shoulders.

School days are the best time when you can relax, study as well as enjoy your lives but when you leave your school you will realize what exactly your responsibilities are and how you need to cope with them. As students you are dependent on your parents but when you grow up you need to take care of them just the way they did for you. You need to realize how important is to value every phase of our lives. Every phase teaches us one thing or the other.

Thus, as a motivational speaker I hope I have motivated you all to respect everyone in your lives and especially those who love you the most. This is the golden period of your life and it is never going to come back so enjoy your school days to the best of your capabilities.

Respected Principal, Vice Principal, Colleagues and My Dear Students- I hope this day finds you in best of spirits!

Today on the speech giving day in the morning assembly, as a teacher I am present before you to deliver a speech on a quite exciting topic for me which is life after school. It brings back certain memories of my school days.

My colleagues would agree with me that we all have something to share from our school days. Our experiences would be a life lesson for you dear students. School is the place where you all spend half of the day enjoying extracurricular activities including dance, sports, plays, dramas etc. These activities prepare you all for the challenging real world which is waiting once you finish your school life.

These activities shape your character and personalities and help you in developing as a full-fledged responsible individual and human being. School lays down your foundation and keeps on improvising your skills. It is the place where you and I nurture our dreams. We get inspired and create our role models in school and follow them the entire life in our subconscious minds.

In fact, we all owe whatever we are today to our school. From getting life lessons and also scoldings in the same place. Don’t ever get disheartened when your teacher scolds you, remember that he/she does this because he/she is worried about your career and wants a successful life for you without any failures and mistakes. You all should thank your parents for sending you to the best schools for your education. Schools are like the building blocks of the society which nurtures the individual and makes them a good human being which in turn becomes valuable for the country itself.

The most important reason to educate youth is that they are the one who are going to support the society. It’s important that you all should be imparted right kind of education and skills so that you take our country to the next level. Life after school is not going to be easy and there will be various challenging situations that you would have to deal with yourself and can’t even reveal it to others because everybody has to go through their own share of struggles and pain.

You would realize once you get out of the school that how memorable were those days where you had no responsibilities. Life after school will not be bed of roses rather there will be ups and downs in life and you will have to handle your family where in now they take all your burdens and responsibilities. Good Evening Friends – How are you all doing?

I warmly welcome you all to this closing ceremony of today where we all can see each other together one last time within our school premise. Until this time, we have been living a secured and sheltered life under the constant guidance of our teachers, but now time has come when we have to be on our own.

I am sure we are experiencing the same emotion at this point in time – we are happy but sad at the same time because of the thought of leaving our school. Outside world already appears quite intimidating and things do not appear easy going. There are other sets of challenges, such as which career option to choose and then short listing the names of reputed institutes which offer respective courses. The job doesn’t end there as then comes the most difficult part of making it to the college of our choice based on our cut offs as well as entrance scores.

Throughout we have been following the footsteps shown by our respected teachers, but now we will have to learn to develop independent, critical thinking so that we can take the decisions of our life. However, consulting our parents and teachers is a must, but what we want in life matters the most. Till date, parents and teachers have been our decision makers, but now we have to be our own decision makers. We have made many mistakes in our school lives and there were our teachers and especially our class teacher who could constantly correct our mistakes and help us in improving ourselves. We have been given many chances to improve and prove our mettle. Everyone used to be so encouraging – from the hon’ble principal ma’am to our respected teachers – who helped us so that we realize our true strength and even work on our weak areas.

Friends, I can unhesitatingly say that school life was full of fun and exciting indeed. But now I feel that we are ripped apart of that sheltered life and stand naked, exposed to the harsh reality of the outside world where cut throat competition prevails and even the slight negligence on our part can cost us huge.

We cannot act childish because career decisions taken post finishing our school can make or break everything. So act wisely and think twice before taking any career related decisions. Definitely, college life will come with its share of enjoyment and we should look so forward to it. Getting to meet new people, attend lectures without any obligation will also give a thrilling experience. There are both plus and minuses and it depends on us how we embrace it whether we see it as glass half filled or half empty.

Life after school will also reap fruitful results provided we take it sportingly and put in our sincere efforts to make our college rocking both in academics and other co-curricular activities. For any situation of crisis, I am sure we have our parents and teachers who are always ready to help us steer clear through any hurdle.

Hello Friends – How you all are doing?

I, Akriti Saxena – the alumni of this school, warmly welcome you all to the speech ceremony of today! Firstly, I would like to thank my teachers for giving me the opportunity to speak today in front of everyone. Today, I am feeling extremely nostalgic visiting my school after 2 long years. Even though a considerable time has passed since then, but I can’t help travelling to those golden times when we were school students and used to follow a disciplined lifestyle and work under the aegis of our teachers.

Everything was taken care of by our teachers and parents. Never did we know that life would be so challenging post the completion of our school education. Suddenly, we were stripped off from that protective shield weaned by our teachers and we realized we were on our own. Charting out our career path and working towards it was not at all easy because we just cannot afford to make mistakes because no one is going to guide us step by step the way our school teachers used to do.

But life after school has got to offer you its own shares of exhilaration by making you breathe in an independent environment where there are no rules to break and attending classes are not a compulsion anymore. You are not going to be shouted upon by your professors provided you submit your assignments on time and meet your minimum attendance level.

School life is undoubtedly the best phase in life, but college life too has a lot to offer and the only reason why it gives you a sense of freedom is to help you in becoming independent and develop critical thinking. Because, after all how long we can be spoon fed as the time will surely come when we will have to be on our own! Isn’t it? Sometimes, we have to be a little harsh on ourselves so that we realize our true potential and emerge as a stronger and a better individual. If we sail through this journey of college life, we will surely shine through in our career ahead.

Life will only be promising when we learn to do what is required out of us and exercise our mental faculty well to achieve our goals. And, college life gives you that opportunity to prove your mettle in your chosen field. So never get intimidated by the outside world and prepare yourself well in your school days itself. I know I am a better person now than I was yesterday and it’s because of all the decisions taken initially by my parents, then my teachers and now by me. Take every facet of journey in a positive fervor and relish its experience like never before, only then will life become meaningful and worth living.

Nothing comes handy, you have to earn it. So prepare well in your school days for the life ahead, i.e. college life so that it opens a world for you according to your dreams and wishes.

Life after school marks the beginning of a new chapter filled with opportunities and challenges. It’s a time to apply the lessons learned, embrace growth, and pursue passions. Remember, success is not just about academic achievements but also about resilience, adaptability, and the courage to follow your dreams. As we embark on this journey, let’s stay curious, continue learning, and strive to make meaningful contributions to our communities and the world at large. Cheers to the adventures that await us beyond the school gates.

Catholic school accuses parents of nasty ‘smear campaign’ after son was barred from giving MAGA-inspired speech

A California Catholic school has booted a 13-year-old student after accusing his parents of starting a “smear campaign” when he was allegedly barred from giving a MAGA -inspired speech for his school election.

In a letter posted to social media by the boy’s mom, Saint Bonaventure Catholic School in Huntington Beach, California, said the family was no longer welcome after they threatened administrators and posted “disparaging” remarks about faculty online.

The mom, Hattie Ruggles, has alleged that her son was “humiliated” by his school principal Mary Flock when he was prevented from giving a MAGA-style speech as he ran for “commissioner of school spirit and patriotism” as part of the school’s elections, according to a social media post.

In the Trump y speech, the 13-year-old talks about his “love for America ” and claims “some people take their citizenship for granted” by “eating nachos during the national anthem at sporting events.”

“My love for America is my motivation for running for Commissioner of Patriotism and School Spirit. It is my honor to live in this country. Sadly, some people take their citizenship for granted, whether it is disrespecting the people who protect us or eating nachos during the national anthem at sporting events,” he allegedly wrote in the speech.

“Many people recite the Pledge of Allegiance without understanding the meaning. If someone doesn’t truly know what they are pledging to the United States of America, they might as well be reciting the lyrics to ‘Shake it Off’ by Taylor Swift.”

If elected, the boy said he would undertake the “crucial task” of making SBS more patriotic — and gave a sign-off similar to that of former President Donald Trump.

“I will make the school spirit great again! I will make patriotism within SBS great again! And most importantly I will MAKE SBS GREAT AGAIN! Thank you and God Bless Saint Bonaventure Catholic School!” the speech added.

His mother claims her son was told to remove “all parts about patriotism” from his campaign speech or he would not be allowed to deliver it before the school assembly.

“Jimmy stood up to her and said he wasn’t going to take the parts about patriotism out of his speech,” Ruggles wrote in a Change.org petition calling on Flock to be fired. “She then told him he would not be speaking. Jimmy sat on stage with all the other candidates while they said their speeches. Mary Flock directed the kids hosting the rally to skip Jimmy entirely. He was on the stage for an hour in front of his peers/teachers/parents being completely humiliated by Mary Flock.”

The school has denied Ruggles’ accusations, claiming that the boy was actually banned from giving his speech because it did not receive prior approval from school officials, as per requirements.

The parents insist this is not true and that their son’s final speech draft was submitted on time and viewed by the principal.

Following the disagreement, Ruggles posted the letter from the Catholic school, which accuses them of “serious violations of the Christian Code of Conduct and the Parent Electronic Communication Policy.”

“Finally heard from St. Bonaventure. This morning we received an email terminating Jimmy, Alice, and Livia from the school and will not allow them to return next year,” Ruggles alleged in a post on Facebook.

Ruggles also shared a photo of the termination letter on Facebook, in which the school said the three children were being expelled for violating the Christian Code of Conduct and the Parent Electronic Communication Policy, including “speaking to administration in a way that is not in line with our expectations for respectful and courteous communication”; “posting disparaging remarks about the administration and faculty on social media”; as well as “inviting outside community members to join in an unsanctioned gathering on parish grounds.”

The letter made no mention of the speech, and the school has disputed Ruggles’ account of events.

“St. Bonaventure Catholic School is dedicated to fostering a Catholic, Christ-centered learning environment that builds a community valuing respect and integrity. We encourage freedom of speech, recognizing that allowing students to express their thoughts and ideas is crucial for their growth and development. In line with this, our longstanding policy requires all student speeches delivered on campus to undergo an administrative approval process. This practice ensures that the content is appropriate, aligns with school values and our Christian Code of Conduct, and maintains a respectful tone. The process is applied uniformly to all students without exception,” the school said.

“If a speech does not receive final approval, we adhere to our established guidelines, which means the student will not be permitted to deliver the speech. In this recent case, school administrators felt encouraged by the words of patriotism but were discouraged by what is perceived as some negative comments and sought adjustments to make it more positive.”

According to a mass email dated May 23 sent by the school and shared by Ruggles on Change.org, Flock left her position at the school last month.

“It is with sadness that I inform you that Principal Mary Flock will not be returning to St. Bonaventure next school year,” the email read.

Earlier this week we celebrated Joe Montana’s birthday here at Fighting Irish Wire as the legendary quarterback turned 68.  Montana of course helped lead Notre Dame to the national championship in 1977 before leading the 49ers to four Super Bowl championships where he was also the boyhood hero of another future great quarterback.

tom brady grew up in California rooting for the 49ers and being a fan of Montana’s.  Brady didn’t end up going to Notre Dame like Montana, instead choosing Notre Dame’s northern rival in Michigan.

He battled his entire career for playing time there before taking over his senior year and leading Michigan to an Orange Bowl victory over Alabama.  From there he was drafted in the sixth round of the NFL draft, took over for an injured Drew Bledsoe with the Patriots, and the rest as they say, is history.

Brady, who retired following the 2022 season, had his number retired in a special event by the Patriots on Wednesday night.  There he gave a speech, but it’s his part about what playing football taught him and so many others that has understandably gone viral.
