In The Sims 2 , The Sims Stories , The Sims 3 and The Sims 4 , children and teens get homework on school days. Homework comes in the form of a school notebook, with differing covers depending on the student's life stage [ TS2 ] [ TS4 ] and the number of days that have passed. [ clarification needed ] [ TS2 ] Homework can be completed at a desk or on the floor, and will usually take a Sim hour to complete. Failing to complete homework generally results in bad grades. In The Sims 4: Discover University , students young adult and above are also given homework after each class.
In The Sims 2 and The Sims Stories , children and teens will have homework in their hands after they get off the school bus. If possible, they will put the assignment on or by a desk, and seem to prefer the first desk that was placed in the house, even if it is in an illogical or inaccessible location. [n 1] If a student has unfinished homework, he or she will put the new homework on top of it. The player can tell the student to put the homework down by canceling the "Go to School" icon. Homework can be moved in buy and build modes, though it cannot be sold. A child's homework will be brightly colored, while a teen's homework will be plainly colored.
Clicking on the homework gives the child or teen an option to complete it or ask an older Sim for help. An older household member, when the homework is clicked, can offer help with finishing the homework. A child or teen who is being helped with homework will finish it faster, and will gain the memory of being taught to study . This will fulfill the "Ask for Homework Help" want , and will allow them to do homework more quickly in the future. If Seasons is installed, students will do homework faster in the fall , or after drinking apple juice .
Sims can do homework while seated at a desk or sitting down on the ground. There does not appear to be any difference in completion speed depending on how the Sim is seated. If Apartment Life is installed, Sims cannot do homework that is placed in an apartment 's communal area.
Sims will not usually get distracted while doing homework, unless their motives are low. They are more likely to get distracted if they are being helped by an older Sim. It is usually best to ensure that both the student and the mentor are in a good mood prior to beginning the interaction, and that no other interactions are in their queue until the homework has been completed.
There is no time limit on completing homework, but doing (or not doing) homework will affect a student's grades. A student who goes to school in a good mood with all homework done will gain a better grade. Students will not be penalized for going to school with one piece of incomplete homework, but going to school with more than one piece of incomplete homework may cause their grades to drop. [n 2]
Sims may have a want to do homework. This want will be fulfilled when they complete a piece of homework. This want will be fulfilled even if the homework they complete belongs to another Sim.
Young adults in college do not receive homework, but can optionally do assignments in order to improve their class performance.
If a teen has unfinished homework when he or she is sent to college or becomes an adult , it will disappear.
Two child Sims completing their homework.
On school days, children and teens will come home with homework in their inventory . This is unlike The Sims 2 and The Sims Stories , where they would place the homework down. They can simply "Do Homework" on their own, "Do Homework With..." another friend of their age group, or "Get Help From" an older Sim on the lot. Sims can also do someone else's homework, or copy someone's homework if that person already did it, although this can cause after school detention. Sims may stop doing homework if they are hungry , tired, have the "Stressed" moodlet, or have a low bladder meter. Sims with bookworm and workaholic traits, as well as logic skill get homework done faster, and the library is a good place to study. The level of logic skill does not increase the rate of finishing homework; only one skill point in Logic is necessary. In Supernatural , vampires also do homework faster than normal Sims, and witches may magically finish it in a matter of seconds with a chance of being Singed . Homework is a hidden skill.
Students who skip homework or do not complete it on time will receive a bad mark in the Homework area of their school performance (This can be found in the 'School' section of the Simology panel) and may get detention. Students who complete their homework on time get a good mark in this section. However, homework can be finished while at school using the "Work on Late Homework" option. However, if the teacher catches them, they may get an after school detention. Good students grow up to be good adults, so it is important that young Sims maintain good grades. If a Sim has an A when they age up, the player will be able to choose his or her next trait. [n 3]
In Generations , children can bury their homework in the sandbox, but will receive a bad grade for doing so.
A teen doing homework in The Sims 4 .
Once Sims become a child or teen on-screen, they will automatically receive a homework book appropriate for their life stage in their inventory, whether or not they have attended school in the past. Children will have a yellow book labeled "Grade School Homework" while teens will receive a blue book simply labeled "Homework". When a student receives a B or above from school, they will be given the option "Do Extra Credit" if they have finished the homework by clicking again on their individual homework books. If a student receives a D or below they can "Do Make Up Work" which works functionally the same as "Do Extra Credit". Children have the ability to receive help from adults. Unlike previous games, children who neglect their homework still have a fair shot at keeping their school performance high by completing other tasks such as maintaining certain moods or building skills. If a player's Sim misplaces a homework book or ages up to a child or teen off-screen, they can purchase a new homework book for §1 from a bookcase, or simply use another Sim's homework book. Unlike previous games, a homework book is not tied to a particular Sim.
If all four of a child Sim's skills ( creativity , mental , motor , social ) are at least level 3, "Do Homework" changes to "Breeze Through Homework", meaning the Sim is already skilled and can complete the homework more quickly. With all four skills at level 7, this changes again to "Dominate Homework," and the homework can be completed even more quickly. This speed boost is not available to teen Sims.
Homework is given to young adult sims and older in The Sims 4: Discover University . Students must complete homework before every class to achieve high grades. Although failure to do so may impact a sim’s performance at university, homework is not essential. Sims that miss their homework can make up for it by studying extra hours, or edit their term papers to be outstanding quality. However to get the highest grades, it is recommended that university students finish homework before each class.
Like with school homework, a new university homework book can be purchased from any bookcase or university kiosk. Homework of any type can be completed 50% faster on lots with the “Study Spot” lot trait .

World of warcraft fans discover easter egg in the war within opening scenario, black myth wukong: all new west boss locations (chapter 3), quick links, how to change a newborn’s bassinet in the sims 4.
Families are a key part of The Sims 4 gameplay. In the 2014 life sim, players can make their own families, raise kids, and see them grow. Parent Sims can teach their kids new skills, help them with homework, and a lot more.
Newborn is the earliest stage of a Sim’s life when they stay in their crib and need lots of care. With new cribs available, players have more options to customize. However, changing a baby's crib can be somewhat hard. Keeping that in mind, today, we will show fans how they can move their newborn Sims to a new bassinet in The Sims 4 .
This guide will help players reignite their Sims' love and improve their relationship with The Sims 4 Lovestruck expansion pack.
Newborns spend all their time in the same cribs. The game recently introduced some cute baby bassinets for Simmers who want to get rid of those boring basic cribs. There are two ways to do this:
The first method is to move the baby temporarily to another place. To do this, Simmers will have to save the game and exit their home. In the main menu, choose ‘Manage Worlds.’ Find your family with the baby in the Manage Households menu. Now, players will need to click on ‘Transfer Sims Between Households’ (the option with two arrows). Move the newborn to any other household and click Accept.
Once Simmers have relocated their baby Sim, they can go back to their home lot and enter Build/Buy Mode. Delete the current bassinet where the baby used to sleep. In the Build/Buy Mode , go to the Kids' Furniture section and select a new crib that supports newborns. After that, move the newborn back to the home lot using the same steps as before.
Another way to change a baby Sim’s crib is to evict the whole family from their home. For this, go to 'Manage Worlds', tap on the home lot, and choose 'Evict Household' from the menu. This will remove the entire family from their house.
Once the house is empty, go into Build Mode, remove the old crib, and put in a new one from Kids Furniture by following the aforementioned steps. Once done, the family needs to return home. Go to Manage Worlds, select Manage Households, and click on the Vehicle option to bring the Sims family back. And that’s it, your newborn Sim will now be in the new crib you just chose.
Homework Folder
Configuration
Simblr Links
A folder to indicate where Sims should do their homework. Can be placed on a table or a desk, or directly on the floor. Homework stacks on top of it.
MogHughson created a picture to indicate where a Sim should do their homework, but for me it has limitations. Firstly, it does not reserve the table/desk slot, so newspapers, bills, etc can still occupy the space. Secondly, it cannot be placed on the floor (I always did my homework on the floor!)
Located in Surfaces/Desks for $0. After being placed in Buy Mode, a Sim has to be directed to claim the folder. Only one Sim can claim each folder, and the owning Sim's image appears on the folder. Should a Sim claim a different folder, they relinquish ownership of the first and another Sim may then claim it as their own.
Only the homework of the owning Sim can be placed onto the folder - either by the owning Sim or by another Sim doing their homework for them.
A folder on the floor can be walked over.
Folders placed on non-residential lots or on lots with no children/teens in the family will auto-delete. Folders will also auto-delete (around 8pm) if the owning child/teen moves out or grows up to a (young) adult.
Claimed folders can be made invisible in Live Mode (if you don't like seeing them all over the floor) by editing BCON 0x1000:0x00
Modifies BHAVs 0x100A "Interaction - Do Homework", 0x100F "Sub - Put Homework Down" and 0x1012 "Get in Temp 0 - Bottom of Stack", and adds BHAVS 0x1035 "Sub - Put Homework In Folder" and 0x1036 "Sub - Route to Homework Folder" in the Homework object (group 0x7FF4DCC2) so will conflict with any mod that alters/adds these.
The mod requires InTeen Check 2 .

I cannot find any of their homework anywhere. I've looked everywhere around the lot. Still can't find it.
So I turned to Google it said if u can't find the homework lying around then you can buy it from the computer and bookcase. Yet whenever I get both the child and adult to do it, there isn't an option to buy a homework book. Please help it's so annoying!

And yes, its pefectly safe to delete homework. I even delete current homework if i dont feel like the sims wanna do it. 4. Highteaatmidnight. • 3 yr. ago. If you go in and out of your lot after the teen ages up to young adulthood or adulthood the homework should automatically disappear. Sometimes this will happen when if you just move around ...
> Update: the homework never went away. But I forgot that the sim's brother wasn't a teen yet and it was high school homework. Guess he gets to do double homework this weekend! > > > > > Lol or you can open up the cheat menu and put moveObjects on (just like that, with a capital O ) then pick it up and hit your delete button. :) > > edit lolz!
remove your Downloads folder. copy your Neighborhoods/entire Sims 2 folder and paste it somewhere safe. load the game and see if the problem persists. if it doesn't persist, it's a mod. when putting your Neighbourhoods/Sims 2 folder back make sure to delete the one in Documents before putting the backup in. do not merge the files if it asks you to.
If you want to delete your kids homework and still get the best grades then follow this! When your child comes back from school and places their homework down, pick it up using buy mode( ypu may have to type in the cheat moveobjects on first though.) and place it on a table or counter then using the eyedropper tool select the table or counter you are using to delete the homework, and place it ...
I know how to delete homework. First use the cheat moveobjects_on then buy any old table. Now move the homework onto the table in buy mode. Finally delete the table. This counts as doing it but not as the want.
If you haven't tried it already then you can just use the 'Moveobjects on' cheat and go into buy mode, pick up the homework then delete it (Yes it will be as if they already did it.) Or if you have the Sims 2: Pets. Just go into buy mode and pick up the homework, set it on a table then use the deleting hammer to delete the table (which will ...
if the problem occurs without that content, then the cause is probably either game or computer. if the problem does not occur without the content, then the cause is somewhere within the content. might also check the Logs folder for files related to the problem. filename would probably contain "Object Error" if such files exist.
I believe it is $1 for each copy. I usually order 2-3. After you have purchased it in the bookshelf, move 2 copies into your high schooler's personal inventory, then select it in the inventory and tell him/her to do homework. They may or may not leave the book on the table afterword. Most likely they will pocket it into their personal inventory.

Assuming you located the homework, the easiest way to get it done is have the kid play red hands with an older sim right next to the homework, and then ask for homework help. The red hands should improve both Sims moods so they don't refuse. If the homework is right there they won't get stuck on the way to it.
The Sledgehammer is in Build mode and the Buy mode next to the design tool and eyedropper tool etc. I think if you enter the cheat moveobjects on (You just need the base game for this cheat to work) you can delete the table with the homework on it. Try it. I don't worry about kids and teens coming home from school with a lower grade if they ...
Step 2.8) Once you're done, select all Lot Description (LTXT) files and extract just like you did with the Text List files. Step 2.9) Open up your new neighborhood, right click and choose "Add" to add the extracted text list files (STR) which you've hopefully saved into a folder in the previous steps.
So this object is a desk locator. You place it on a desk or table and have your Sim claim the desk via the menu on this object. Then, next time they come home from school with homework, they will put their homework on their own desk (assuming no homework already on the lot that they stack upon in preference to finding a desk).
so one day, for some reason, I deleted the homework book from a sim's inventory. now I can't find a way to get the book back. if anyone knows how to fix this, please tell me. or maybe EA can make a future update with a interaction for school along the lines of "get new homework" or something. I just want my homework book back.

Mysterious_Potential. •. Homework doesn't appear in the inventory in the Sims 2, they carry it in their hands off the bus. You do have to keep an eye on them though, they tend to drop it in random places (like a random tile in the middle of the back garden in the snow...), so just follow them with the camera as they're getting off the bus.

Deleting Sims from your game (without cleaning up afterwards, with SimPE) is a really bad idea. If you are sick of them, it's much better to just kill them off. Here's a link detailing the safe way to delete Sims from the game.
For example, the happy moodlet will be a "very common" moodlet for cheerful sims who like homework. At the same time, it is just "common" for other sims without this trait, which also likes this activity. But, a cheerful sim who dislikes homework will not get a happy moodlet doing it (there is no happy moodlet in the dislike table to be changed).
So if you get an adult to help your kids via "help with homework" it will make the kids homework time go faster.
