Delhi University PhD Admission 2024-25

DU Doctor of Philosophy Admission for the 2024-25 session will open on 10 August 2024 through the entrance exam score. DU PhD Admission 2024-25 last date will be 22 September 2024 , and the internet and eligible candidates can online at the official website @admission.uod.ac.in . The admission process for this program will be done in two phases first is ongoing and the second phase will start later. DU offers admission to the PhD degree in a variety of fields of study such as Hindi, English, Psychology, etc . 

Delhi University offers admission to Doctor of Philosophy Programmes in multiple subjects such as a PhD in Biochemistry, a PhD in Biophysics, a PhD in Commerce, and numerous more. The PhD admission process is completed by the university in two phases; the first starts in August for the students who appeared in the National Level Research entrance test such as UGC NET/NET JRF/CSIR NET/GAET and others.

Delhi University PhD Admission Process 2024-25

In DU PhD Admission Process 2024-25 , There are two ways to get accepted into the program.

• The student who is qualified for the UGC-NET, UGC-CSIR-NET, AYUSH-NET/DBT-JRF, ICMR-JRF, and DST-INSPIRE including JRF is applicable for the PhD admission 2024. 
• To apply for DU PhD. For admission 2024-25, please visit the University of Delhi's website at www.du.ac.in .
• You will be able to register after you have provided the required information, which includes your email address and cell phone number.
• After that, sign in using the information you registered with and finish filling out the Application form with all the required information.
• In addition to paying the application fee, the application itself has to be submitted.
• In addition, applicants are needed to print off the form to keep a copy of it for their records.

DU PhD Application Form 2024

Delhi University PhD Application form will be released on 9 August 2024 for the entrance test. It offers PhD programmes in Full-time and Part-time mode and interested students are required to fill out the online forms for entrance. The application fee for the general students is Rs 750/ - and the last date to fill out the registration form will be  22 September 2024 .  The basic criteria to register for the DU PhD entrance exam is that student must complete their PG degree with at least a 55% mark from an approved university.

Steps to Fill out the Application Form 2024-25

• Log in to the official portal of DU registration 2024.
• Create the newly Registered email ID on the DU portal.
• Student can Fill out their Registration form with their basic information (a passport-size photograph. a Scanned signature, and Identity proof).

DU PhD Admission 2024-25 Last Date

DU PhD Entrance Exam 2024

Candidates who wish to pursue a PhD from DU have to appear in the NTA entrance test to get admission to DU University. DU PhD entrance exam 2024 last date is  22 September 2024 , NTA will conduct the Entrance test from 26 To 31 September 2024 . The test will be conducted online in CBT mode Students have to attempt the test online and must have a good internet connection.

Candidates who are interested in being considered for admission to the DU PhD admission 2024 are required to meet the eligibility requirements that are outlined in the following paragraphs. 

• Candidates are required to have achieved a Master's degree with an average grade point score of at least 55%. 
• The minimum qualifying requirement for admission to DU's PhD programs in 2024 has been reduced by 5% for candidates from SC/ST, Other Backward Classes, and Persons with Physical Disabilities (PWD).
• Before applying to be admitted to the PhD program, candidates are required to determine whether a research proposal is required for admission to the department or area of specialization in which they wish to enrol.

DU PhD. Results  will be declared in September on the official DU website. The final result will be made accessible in PDF format. The exact date when DU PhD results in 2024  will be declared after the Entrance exam. The result will be declared as per the college guide on their official portal and the counselling date will be declared after (Phase 2) entrance exam.

Information such as a candidate's name, gender, category, Exam date , subject, maximum examination marks, rank reached, and total marks gained in each segment will be included in the DUET 2024 Results with their roll number, registration number, name, and DUET scores.

Eligibility criteria.

Possesses Master’s Degree from a University recognized by UGC or any other qualification recognized as equivalent thereto in such fields of study as are notified for the purpose from time to time by the University with at least 55% marks [50% marks in the case of SC, ST, OBC (Non-creamy Layer) and Differently-Abled and other categories of candidates as per the decision of UGC from time to time, or for those who had obtained their Master’s Degree prior to 19th September, 1991]excluding grace mark.

Qualifies in the entrance examination conducted by IGNOU at the National level.

IGNOU PhD Psychology Admission 2023 for the January session will begin soon. The university will tentatively release the application form for admission in the month of December 2022. Aspiring candidates can apply online on the university’s official website - ignou.ac.in.

IGNOU offers a Ph.D. program in Psychology for a minimum duration of 3 years. Admission to the course is done on the basis of an entrance exam conducted by the varsity followed by an interview. The admission process is conducted through online methods. The admission is provided to the candidates as per the merit obtained in the entrance examination and interview.

Selection process:

• The selection of candidates is based on the national level entrance examination which is conducted by NTA all over the country.
• The entrance test is conducted in 13 cities.
• The applicants need to secure a minimum of 50% in the entrance examination for being shortlisted in the interview process.
• The applicants with NET/ JRF/ GATE rank or M.Phil. Degree are exempted from the entrance examination and can appear for the interview directly.
• The interview is conducted by the Doctoral Research Committee of the Psychology department at the university.
• Offer letters are provided to the selected candidates for further admission process.

The TMA for each semester can be downloaded from the Student Zone of the University website. You have to complete the assignment within the due dates specified in the assignment booklet. You will not be allowed to appear for the term-end examination for any course if you do not submit the assignment in time for that course. If you appear in the term-end examination, without submitting the assignments, the result of the term-end examination is liable to be canceled.
