I am dependent on honest reviews. However, I do not understand how this entity was rated highly unless the reviews were written by employees or customers with low expectations. The writers had almost 20 days to work on my drafts, so there was plenty of time to produce a well-structured paper. It is evident that the writers are not fluent in English, their profile pics are fake, and their qualifications are limited. The writer I selected ensured me that he/she was expereinced with the genre of essay needed, but I had to request more than 4 revisions until the deadline for submission was met. Basically, I had to rewrite the entire draft even though, the writer was given very specific instructions through uploaded files including syllabus, grading rubric, and instructor's requirements. The writer I paid to write another draft, did not even mention the topic throughout 9 pages of materials: all specifications were uploaded to him/her as well, I regret not requesting a refund during the "progress" of their writings, because their work is third grade level at best...and that is being generous. I gave them 2 stars because my chosen writers communicated promptly.

The blue background is fitting, but the images are too vague and only a couple of them are present. The major parts of design comprise plain text. It’s mostly fluent but it sounds as boring as it looks: simple short sentences, repetitions, the same info as on any other platform. There is no individuality to it. The layout is not clear: clients won’t immediately see what services they could order and how much they’d have to pay for them. They’d have to browse the site until they find all these options with explanations. All links work well, though, and some info is useful. You can learn how many writers are online to better evaluate your chances of getting assistance ASAP.

Essay Shark reviews are closer to the bottom of the page, and I had big questions about them. After I placed my order, I had no way of leaving a public comment like this: it makes me think that reviews are either fake or monitored heavily, with only positive ones making it through. Lack of online chat makes instant communication impossible. But I liked the list with writers and their grades — this could help you get an idea of who you could choose for your project.

If you approved of most essay sections but hated the rest, the same principle applies. I think it’s exploitative and not very honest.

Is EssayShark good at communication? Not really. It has only email for contact unless you create your account. Once you do, you’ll be able to access ticket-based support. Such an approach didn’t inspire me to initiate more contact.

With EssayShark, I had a chance to select my own writer, and that was a difficult task. Many people placed bids on my order. This was a simple English essay with 5 pages, and I wanted a 2-week long deadline. I chose an average expert: their messages were not the most fluent, but they were okay. I didn’t want to settle for the best or worst writers because the middle always shows the most.

As per the bottom of their website, EssayShark claims that they’re based in Cyprus.

Cyprus is a random little island country next to Jordan, Oman, and Turkey. It’s more like a place you see on the news for being wrapped up in a foreign conflict than a great place where tons of amazing academic writers hang out.

This is definitely disturbing, but it's realistic. This makes perfect sense for a company whose prices are a bit high and receives negative feedback on paper quality quite regularly.

Where Is Cyprus, Anyway?

If you’ve never heard of Cyprus, you’re like most people.

It’s honestly a super obscure place to have a company based. Most of the time, it’s just because they’ve set up a shell company there to avoid taxes and lawsuits and engage in other sketchy business practices due to their relative lack of laws.

If you think Cyprus is a place that’s some haven for amazing essay writing, think again!

It stands to reason that if the company is based there, they’re probably also pulling workers from Cyprus. Could this be why they have so many negative reviews?

More likely, they are amongst the many Kenyan or Ukrainian essay-writing services with a fake mailbox in Cyprus, and they hire people from third-world countries to write for you while paying them literal pennies.

Is EssayShark Based in Ukraine? Yes, They Are...

A little detective work reveals that EssayShark is actually based in Ukraine.

Yes, that place you see on the news right now where some not-so-great things are happening.

We have nothing against Ukraine or the Ukrainian people (we wish for world peace!) , but Ukrainian companies have absolutely no business providing essay-writing services to students like you. This is due to their lack of understanding of English and the extremely low level of customer service that most Ukrainian companies are known for.

Again, this isn’t me guessing that EssayShark is based in Ukraine. In fact, they have kind of been advertising it lately.

Why would they put “We Stand With Ukraine” in their site banner if they weren’t Ukrainian-run?

That’s totally unrelated to writing services and helping you get your schoolwork done.

In reality, EssayShark is a Ukrainian company that employs writers, support staff, and administrators in Ukraine.

They do this because it is a very poor country where the cost of labor is very cheap, and this allows them to minimize their expenses while charging you out the .wazoo. The war in Ukraine directly affects everything about their service, and this is precisely why they’re advertising their support for the country in their site banner.

Foreign Companies Should NOT Be Helping You With Essays

We are NOT trying to bash people living in foreign countries. I totally respect anybody who puts in a hard day’s work. But, if you’ve ever been on a customer support call with someone from another country, you know how frustrating it can be to get something basic done, like canceling a credit card.

Is this the type of person you want to have writing your essay? I don’t think so.

People like this typically aren’t good essay writers capable of cranking out high-quality work, regardless of academic level. This is because English is not the first spoken language in most of these countries, and people who learn English as a second language almost always lack the skills that a native speaker has.

Yet, hiring people like this is always cheaper than investing in a Canadian or American team that does great work, so there’s a financial upside for a company like EssayShark. On the flip side, however, it’s very bad for you as the customer, as workers like this do not provide quality papers by any stretch of the imagination!

And, as a way of proving this, we need not look further than the sample essays they’ve gladly plastered on their site.

Terrible Sample Essays on EssayShark

Essay writing services will often use samples to prove they’re a legitimate company to you. In other words, they’ll choose their best essays as examples of the kind of quality you can expect when ordering from them.

What’s hilariously bad about EssayShark is that their samples are, to put it lightly, terrible.

I read through at least 20 of them while doing this review, and it’s hilarious that these guys believe these are the essays they should show you to display their quality.

I was shocked. Whether it was a complete lack of a clear thesis statement, run-on sentences, misspelled words, or dozens of little formatting mistakes, it’s clear that this company is total crap.

EssayShark Misspells Basic Words

So, we know that not only can the writers on EssayShark not write at all, but even their administrators and managers don’t know how to tell a good essay from a terrible one.

That, my friend, should terrify you if you’re considering working with them.

In one brief, they’ve literally misspelled “notes." See below!

Like, what does that even mean?

Clearly, the person who wrote this has no understanding of American culture and should not be working for an essay-writing service. Essay writers should come from countries where English is the primary language, not a second or third choice!

In any case, this is not well written at all. I’d expect more from a 15-year-old with a few hours of writing classes under their belt.

I’m shocked they have these bad samples floating around on the internet for people to see. How can someone who runs a company specializing in essay writing put out such negative publicity for themselves?

Customers Got What Was Coming To Them...

I’m not the only one who thinks everything going on over there at EssayShark is 100% fishy.

In fact, there are plenty of poor reviews online that more or less back up everything I’m talking about here.

Accusations of AI Use?

Unfortunately, the poor girl in the review above got what was coming to her using EssayShark.

They literally used AI to write her paper - a total sin in this industry!

Any good essay writer knows that you CANNOT use any form of AI in your writing, or your client can potentially get flagged for it and may fail their assignment entirely.

It doesn’t matter if the paper meets all of the specifications in a case like this. If they use AI, it’s a failure.

It’s not like the writer can blame technical difficulties, either. This is honestly a case of straight-up bad intent.

Worst of all, it looks like this was the first essay she had ordered online, too, and despite promises of unlimited revisions, the paper didn’t pan out for her at all.

Sadly, it looks like this is what happened above. She likely got lured in by low EssayShark prices, only to find out she paid far more than she could have bargained for.

Needless to say, here at Killer Papers, we NEVER use AI for absolutely anything in the essay writing process.

I bet she was also asking, “Is Essay Shark legit?” only to be totally disappointed.

That’s why I wrote this Essay Shark review: To protect you from being scammed by such alleged “experts.” The “professional writers” at EssayShark are not what they claim to be at all!

The next step in my research to write this review was to check out their social media presence.

The issue is it is almost non-existent.

While they have an Instagram page, they get between 1 - 10 likes per post and have basically no engagement with their followers.

This shows you that this isn’t a real service but (more likely) a phony-front business.

Guys, explain to me how this is supposed to make any sense at all. If EssayShark does help everyone they claim to each year, wouldn’t they have a fair few loyal fans gassing them up on social media?

Well, they don’t because they don’t actually generate the results for people that they claim to. If they did, they’d have an Instagram account with hundreds of positive reviews, people commenting on posts talking about their experience, and an engaged community around the company.

Despite their promise of using the “best writers” and providing well-researched, timely assignments free of grammatical errors and complete with in-text citations, they’re a gigantic letdown of a company that is little more than a waste of your money.

Trust me: I ran through their ordering process, inspected their paper quality, and read countless other EssayShark reviews. It was not a positive experience, and I can’t imagine anyone relying on them for completed assignments would do well at all.

All of this, plus a Cyprus-based address and support messages for Ukraine, means you can be assured this is NOT a service to trust. They’re another foreign chop shop that only wants to take your money and leave your grades in the dust!

EssayShark.com is a writing service that has been around for about 9 years. It considers itself somewhat unique because it operates more as a clearinghouse for writers who sign up to bid on orders. Each writer has a profile, and once a customer places an order, it is sent out for bids. The writers then contact the customer with their profiles and bids. Once the customer selects a writer, the company takes its cut of the price the customer pays the writer. Our EssayShark review will follow the same criteria that we have established for all of our other writing service reviews, even though its business model is a bit different than most. The criteria are listed in the sub-headings below. We have used the following types of information to prepare this review:

• Essay Shark testimonials found under each of the writers listed on the “Top Writers” page of the site.
• Content on the site itself.
• Essay Shark reviews which have been found elsewhere online, for instance, in the EssayShark Reddit community.
• Results of a research paper which we obtained and was written by from one of the “Top Writers.”

To find an answer to “Is EssayShark legit?”, we had to check out the products and services offered first. It’s easy to find them – as soon as you land on their website, you can find information about them and the different subjects they could write for. The types of assignment EssayShark provides seems to be pretty vast.

Essay Shark provides academic writing – at all levels of students from high school through Master’s and Doctoral programs. These include essays, papers, case studies, book reviews, coursework assignments, presentations, research proposals, and graduate-level theses and dissertations.

In checking the “Top Writers” page, we found that each writer advertises the subject fields in which he writes, although the academic level is not included in these profiles. It appears that, among the writers as a whole, all content fields are “covered.” So, it’s hard to know what EssayShark grammar test answers they were offered to be able to become writers on the platform.

We considered several factors in this area of EssayShark.com review – on-site testimonials on individual writers’ profiles, an evaluation of the sample essays and papers that are published on the site, the feedback that customers have provided on social media and other online resources, and our own experience of going through the process from exploring the order process, to receiving bids, to evaluating writers, and ultimately receiving a final product. Here is what we can report:

• On-site testimonials for the “top writers” were all very positive; however, we had no way of finding customer feedback on any of the other writers who freelance for this site. There was also no way for us to check if the testimonials on the website are indeed legit ones. While you can see when the comments were allegedly posted, it’s hard to know if these are true or if they are simply fake ones written by the company itself.
• Looking for EssayShark reviews found on other web sources, we did find some unhappy customers who complained about the quality of their products and the lack of responsiveness on the part of their writers. Several did state that they had access to their writers via direct email and felt that was beneficial
• We opened an EssayShark account to test the EssayShark sign up process and how easy and quick it is. Luckily, in this aspect, there are no complaints, because everything was pretty fast. However, we were only able to open an account by placing an order. Some people may want to open an account and perform a normal EssayShark account login first before they go to placing their order.
• We reviewed some of the sample writings published on the site. There was a wide variety of quality. One research paper on the computer as mankind’s greatest invention had a great deal of factual information about the history of the computer. It was of concern that there were not in-text citations at all – only a bibliography at the end. A few other samples reflected very “elementary” language styles and resources that were as old as 9-10 years ago.
• We obtained a research paper in history at the undergraduate level. We received many bids within an hour and finally selected one person. We requested more information about his background and degrees. It was very sketchy and ultimately we were informed that he did not have a degree in history. We placed a second order for bids insisting upon a writer with a Master’s in history. We received our paper on time. It conformed to our instructions but was written in a language style fit for high school work, and the resources were all secondary.

EssayShark Prices are not standardized, because each writer is allowed to place his/her own bid. Because of this, there are no EssayShark.com discounts provided anywhere on the site. When asked if the company even provided Essay Shark discounts or any other type of incentives, such as Essay Shark promo codes, or EssayShark promo codes that customers could use to lower prices, we were told that prices were totally a factor of writer and customer negotiation.

Still, EssayShark coupons would have been a very helpful thing that many students would have appreciated. Especially considering the situation many students are in with money, things would’ve been much better with promo codes. The fact that there is no Essay Shark discount code is a big disadvantage, especially when you want to order a longer assignment.

Payment methods are secured by an SSL processor, so they are secure. When a customer places an order and accepts the bid of a writer, a company service fee is added to that price and the customer is asked to make payment at that time. The payment is released to the writer when the product is completed and delivered. We searched and did not find evidence of any legal issues regarding payments. As always, you can use PayPal to be safe if you want to avoid sharing your account information. For the most part, people felt safe using the site’s payment methods, and there were no issues.

The answer to these questions is simple. The customer support department is not involved in the questions or issues that may arise in the production process. Those are to be handled between writer and customer as they communicate. There are representatives available to answer questions about the process and to assist with any technical difficulties in navigating the website. They are available by messaging only.

We tried contacting the customer support and ask them a few things about why the papers are lacking in quality and why the grammar for some is so terrible. The first thing we noticed is that it took way too long until we received our answer. Several days passed without us hearing from the customer support, and when we finally did, we didn’t find out anything. Everything was in vain. If we wanted to find out anything, we had to solve it with the writer, a writer who was also unwilling to answer our questions about the bad quality of the paper.

Orders are placed by providing an email address and then the details of the order. Once submitted, the bidding process begins.

There is good news if you want to find out more about the policies of this service. We reviewed their policies on cookies, data privacy, and terms of use. These were detailed, yet easy to understand. The company is GDPR compliant. Customers may have their data deleted, or inquire as to the exact contents of their customer data. The cookie policy is equally clear.

For students who are confident that they can assess writer skills and negotiate well, this writing service may work. However, writing quality appears to vary widely, as do the prices. It all depends on the writer. If you’re unlucky, you will end up with a writer who doesn’t know how to deliver high-quality essays. Other concerning “minuses” are the lack of quality control on the part of some central administrative staff and the elementary nature of the writing that is produced. This company takes 70% fee for the order when the writer just gets 30% or less. The worst thing that writers and customers don't know about it. And, they will fine you if you tell the customer how much the writer is paid.

First, they are very expensive and they charge you $20 per page. second, once you assign the work the writer may ask you to pay more or they will cancel your order. They seriously lack management. I hired them to work on a history essay and I got a paper on how velocity works. I think they messed up my order with someone else. Keep it together people. Get your head in the game.

Whatever they write is as bad as trash. When I saw the papers, I just wanted to tear up the paper into pieces. I didnt get what they guys were up to. Not a single line was of my interest.

Purchased a paper, that was less than par. I refuse to release the balance to the writer and essay shark refuses to give a refund. Writer had 6 hours to complete my paper, sent back something that looked like a 10 year old wrote it. I've used Essay Shark twice and I've been disappointed with the results both times. The first time I got a paper that wasn't about the topic I'd asked for. Apparently, I hadn't highlighted a part of the instructions I gave them beforehand so it was my fault. There's a box for instructions, I thought writing the instructions in there would suffice, but nope. Because of their pay to view progress system, I paid for about half of the paper, and then mentioned that the writer had gotten it wrong. I offered some guidance as to what I was looking for and the writer said he/she would make the changes. I paid for the rest of the essay, found that the changes had been made. I messaged the writer, got no response. Then I got a message from the customer support department telling me I shouldn't make changes to my essay request mid-way through. Apparently, my guidance had been taken as me changing my requirements. So I was left with a paper I didn't want and no refund. And to make matters worse, my negative review was removed because it was "unfair for the writer!!!". The second time I used them, I was in a bind and had another site cancel on me last minute. I was given a paper that was about the topic it should have been but it was so poorly written. Really poor English, poor structure in the essay and a pretty boring essay. So yeah, stay away, they really suck.

Well... I cannot say many good things about this writing resource. Actually, I think there is no good things at all. They missed the deadline, the overall quality was bad, they missed to highlight the main topic as well, as they (I was totally speechless at this point) forgot to complete the summary and bibliography. But the writer sent it to me 3 hours later, while the order was really urgent. Of course, I failed the deadline and my grade was reduced. Thankfully, the essay was good, so I got "B" in the end. Could have been worse!

Three times I have ordered essays from EssayShark.com and three times my essays were delayed. It seems like failing to meet my deadlines turned into a tradition for this service. Well, whatever, if the delays were the only trouble I have with them. All three of my essays needed revision. And when you decide to order something from them, read carefully the whole information and notes especially. Because they say that their revisions are free but in my case it turned out that there are some exceptions. So for one of my revisions they asked me to give them an additional payment. I’ll never hire this company again and I recommend no one to use this service!

I think everything had gone wrong since the changing of their design. The design is pathetic and the service became pathetic too. Not to be groundless I’ll tell you next: They essay I’ve ordered from them this year came late. All were either wrong-structured or had a lot of mistypes. I never asked for the individual writer as they service proposes, but previously everything was fine. I know there’s no information about writers’ academic backgrounds but with my few last essays I’m not really sure that their writers are English-speaking. One of my essays even had an incorrect word order. I hope they improve. And maybe they will in time. Meanwhile I’m not going to use EssayShark.com myself and I can’t recommend it to anybody.

Don’t trust EssayShark.com! I’ve ordered two essays. With both of them they failed to meet my deadlines and both of the essays needed revision. And they asked me for additional payment for those revisions because those were some “exceptional” cases and the site states that all the revisions are free.

They promise zero-plagiarism. The last essay I ordered from them…My professor said that it has 75% of plagiarism! My education is over! And I’m pretty sure that I’m not the only victim here!

Today, we will assess whether EssayShark.com deserves this distinction.  EssayShark claims to have been in the essay writing business for over 10 years, but we couldn’t locate any proof of those claims on the internet. At first glance, EssayShark seems to be your typical essay writing service with headquarters located in one place and writers living in other parts of the globe. Essay Shark offers a fairly standard variety of services and has a moderately positive reputation among the customers, although with some exceptions in the form of negative EssayShark reviews. With our own EssayShark review, we want to settle the question: is Essay Shark the right writing service for your academic needs?

There isn’t much to do on EssayShark.com as a first-time visitor, so we moved straight to the order placement page. This is where we encountered the first inconvenience: instead of moving straight to the order form, you first need to sign up to the service via email. Once you get to the order placement page, you will have lots of fields to fill out, from the type and topic of your assignment to the formatting style and deadline. Our order was done a couple of hours before the deadline, so no complaints there. However, even at first look, we discovered a few problems with the paper. Third, we specifically asked for a certain formatting style, but the essay was formatted very sloppily and not as we asked. We decided not to bother with a revision request, but if it was a real assignment, it would definitely land us in hot water.

Unsurprisingly, the most popular service you can use is essay writing. In addition to that, EssayShark can do pretty much any academic assignment you may get at school or college, including:

The list of services at EssayShark looks comprehensive enough for an average student, but there are some other popular services that are missing from the list, such as CV and cover letter writing. However, we did like the fact that Essay Shark provides not only writing, but also editing and rewriting services, which is a good option when you are able to write the paper yourself but want to give it a better look with the help of professional editing.

Unlike most other popular essay writing services, EssayShark does not offer customer support in the form of a live chat. To us, it’s a huge disadvantage, since chat allows you to quickly get help whenever needed. There is, however, a Support section in your personal profile when you are already a registered customer of Essay Shark, but this option won’t work for the guests. Additionally, you can reach out to customer support using a contact email. No phone number is available to call when you need urgent assistance, which is another disadvantage of the service. EssayShark claims that the average response time for customer requests is 6 minutes, but we find it hard to believe, especially when you contact support via email. On the bottom of the website, you will find several social media buttons, but we checked the social media profiles of Essay Shark and were very underwhelmed by them. Both the Facebook and the Instagram pages of EssayShark have not been updated for almost 6 months, so not only won’t you get any new and relevant information from them, but you probably shouldn’t expect a quick response from the company’s social media representatives.

By now, you have probably realized that EssayShark works on a bidding basis. It means that before you can see any prices, you need to publish the full details of your order and then wait for the writers to respond with their offers. To us, it’s a system that has only one sizable advantage — being able to pick the best writer for your order — and a whole list of drawbacks.  Most importantly, since there are no price guides or recommendations, the writers are free to charge anything they want for your order, which means you will likely overpay for your paper at EssayShark compared to other writing services. Plus, the FAQ section at Essay Shark specifically says that there are no discounts or promotions, so there are no ways to bring down the cost of your order. Essay Shark accepts just two payment methods, Visa and Mastercard. Neither the equally popular payment systems like American Express and Discover nor the novelty options such as Bitcoin are available. Furthermore, PayPal payments are not available either, which was a big disappointment to us, as you feel much more secure when paying with PayPal.

We thoroughly investigated the customer satisfaction policies at EssayShark and we have concluded that they are intentionally vague and designed to favor the company and its writers, not the customers. The good news is that free revisions are available: when you receive an order and you are not fully satisfied with it, you can request a free revision from the writer and he must comply with it. However, we have seen more than one EssayShark review claiming that the writers often take too long to complete the revision or refuse to do it at all and that the customer support sides with the writers. For most orders, Essay Shark uses a gradual payment system, where the payment is released to the writer after each section of the order is completed. It means that you need to deposit the whole sum in your account right after the writer accepts the order and you will then release the funds yourself. After the final payment is released, the order is considered completed and there are no refunds available, which means that the money-back guarantee at EssayShark is virtually non-existent. Researching the Essay Shark reviews online was a mandatory part of our research, and here is what we found. There is a special section dedicated to EssayShark reviews on the company’s own website, but there are only 20 of them displayed on the page with no opportunity to see more reviews. Plus, the customer testimonials on the EssayShark’s own website can be easily modified, so you shouldn’t put too much trust in them. There are also a few hundred EssayShark reviews cumulatively on popular review platforms Sitejabber and Trustpilot, and they reveal a very different picture. There are some four and five-star reviews claiming that the service has been very helpful to students in achieving their academic goals.  Still, we encountered one EssayShark review complaining about the dire conditions for freelance writers and far more than one EssayShark review pointing out the many problems with the service, from the lack of academic proficiency in the writers to missed deadlines and refusals to perform revisions.

Our experience with Essay Shark had a promising start, but the service failed to live up to our expectations. Besides the inferior bidding system, which we are definitely not fans of, the site has several other issues. The few advantages of EssayShark aside, we can only recommend our readers to look for another writing service.
