How I Spend My Leisure Time Essay

I admit that I am a very busy person, but I still believe in finding time to unwind and do enjoyable things. I intentionally block off time for leisure in my calendar. I also make it a point to aside resources and plan meticulously to ensure I get maximum relaxation from it.

Leisure is important to mental and physical wellness and should be taken seriously. It is a conscious decision I make to ensure that I am able to experience it regularly. Taking time out renews my vigor to tackle the challenging tasks I come across daily, as I am able to take breaks to reflect on a few issues about life. I mostly plan my leisure time on the weekends so that I can make space for my family and friends.

This is a short description of how I spend my leisure breaks.

How I Make My Free Time Count

My favorite way to spend my leisure time would be to hang out with my friends at the beach. I enjoy the cool breeze from the ocean and watching people have fun on the shore. Walking along the shores of the beach calms my inner chaos. Occasionally, I collect seashells on the beach and bring them to my siblings. Most of these outdoor activities highly depend on how favorable the weather is.

I also make the effort to make calls to friends I am unable to physically visit and check in on. Sometimes, the walks alone can take up my whole afternoon.

Other times, I like listening to the music albums of my favorite artists as I stroll along the beach. When the weather is hot, I like swimming on the beach or joining my friends to go fishing in deeper waters. Recently, I tried scuba diving and I liked the experience. I hope that I get to try it again soon. The breathtaking view of the reef is amazing.

Sometimes, the weather confines me indoors, but that does not mean I cannot have a good leisure break.

If I am having my leisure getaway indoors, I like trying out new recipes and different cuisines from all over the world. Being busy in the kitchen trying out new dishes is enjoyable, to say the least. The meals don’t always turn out the way I expect them to, but the experience is always fun for me.

Alternatively, I like reading non-fiction books, particularly those that talk about historical events, while relaxing on the couch. I like doing this with soft jazz playing in the background as I peruse through the pages.

At times, I also go to the cinemas and theaters and catch up on the latest movies and plays with friends. There are times when I just want to stay at home and catch up on my go-to shows. I like playing dance games competitively with my brother especially when he is in town. Although he is a better dancer than I am, we both enjoy the dance and have fun together.

I also travel to Africa annually and go on safaris or hike in the mountains. The experience is always great – from socializing with people of different cultures to watching animal wildlife in their natural habitat. The days I spend in Africa leave indelible memories in my mind and encourage me to save up to return and experience more.

The activities I mentioned are just the tip of the iceberg. I really like making the most out of my leisure breaks. All these experiences and memories push me to invest in rest.

I don’t know how you make use of your spare time, but I hope that you are using it well. It could simply be a matter of engaging in your hobbies, spending time with loved ones, soaking in nature, or even reading books. As long as it makes you feel happy and recharged by the time the next week rolls in, it is worth doing.

Different people have different kinds of preferences when it comes to maximizing their free time. There are so many activities to choose from – so there’s no excuse not to indulge in getaways for yourself.

Essay About A Leisure Time Activity

What do you do when you have so much free time that you can actually take extended time off?

I have had the blessing of enjoying a lot of free moments lately and it has given me the opportunity to get involved in the many things that give me joy. One of them is reading novels. I am a staunch fan of murder mysteries. I can never get enough breathers to go through them during a busy week at school, so my collection has been gathering dust at home. I have recently been able to finish two books each weekend, and I’m really enjoying it.

Another activity that I love doing is to write down my plans for the future. I don’t just mean plans for the next year. I like envisioning myself five or ten years from where I am and dreaming of what I’ll be able to accomplish by then.

Finally, I like playing games and indulging in recreational activities. Board games are a guilty pleasure for me. I recently rediscovered my love for classic Monopoly and word puzzles and have been challenging my family and friends for intense rematches on weekends.

What Are Popular Ways To Spend Leisure Time?

There are plenty of ways to wind down in your spare moments. There are those who get involved in competitive sports. Others want something more relaxing and simply hang out with family. More adventurous people travel to other parts of the world to experience and soak in another culture. Others write down their ideas. There are a rare few who spend days in the library looking to expand their knowledge on a certain topic or subject of interest. Then there are the more fun, casual, and popular group activities, such as karaoke, cocktails, hotel stays, and pampering trips.

Why Is Leisure Time Important?

Making space to relax and the wind is essential in making sure you can still excel in the other areas of your life. People say that rest is actually a life strategy. You don’t necessarily rest because you are lazy and don’t want to deal with your obligations. You get to rest for the ultimate good of those activities. It almost seems counterproductive, for example, to do a catnap the night before a heavy deadline. But ten minutes of sleep can actually re-energize your brain and refuel your creative juices so that you can power through the night and finish that requirement. Getting those breathers for yourself also protects you from burnout, which is a common ailment in today’s busy world where everything demands your time and attention. It gives you fresh starts, especially when you feel uninspired and stuck.

How Spend My Leisure

Leisure is the spare time available at our disposal. Different people have different ideas and different methods of spending their leisure time. Though people are busy in different kinds of work, time is also available which may be termed as .leisure time. For students, in particular, the question of spending their leisure time for a good purpose is Significant. Some students pass their leisure in gossip and loitering, some go to see movies, some play cards and some students stand on the corners of the roads and streets without any aim whatsoever, their methods of spending the leisure are not worthy. The leisure time should be spent by joining together and attending some programmes having educational, cultural and recreational values of a high order. I spend my leisure in visiting important places, historical monuments and other important places like Jantar Mantar, Red Fort, Raj Ghat, etc. Sometimes, I go to a library to spend my leisure. A very good library to spend my leisure time is the American Center library where a large number of magazines and books are available. There is an arrangement there even to watch video cassettes without the sound. The sound can, however, be heard by you through the ear-phone you may plug to your ears. These video cassettes are of tremendous educative value. Like any other spheres of activities, a proper planning for spending the leisure is an important aspect of human life.

IELTS Essay: Activities for Leisure Time

This is an IELTS writing task 2 sample answer essay from the general training exam on the topic of planning your activities for your leisure time.

Some people think that one should plan in detail activities for their leisure time, while others disagree with this view.

Discuss both views and give your own opinion.

Many feel that it is important to plan out their free time activities, while others opt to live more spontaneously. In my opinion, planning can be useful but over time it will devalue the activities themselves.

Arranging one’s leisure activities ahead of time is a natural impulse to ease tension and ensure their usefulness. Some psychologists have termed humans the ‘planning animal’ because of an inborn tendency arising from a calming need for security. To the person doing the planning, this serves the secondary purpose of ensuring they are not wasting their time. For example, if a motivated individual plans their day they might set out to do some exercise, read a book, finish some work at home, and cook a meal. These are productive tasks that will lead to a feeling of fulfillment at the end of the day.

However, this drive causes undue pressure and hinders enjoyment of a given activity. The human propensity to plan is also an underlying cause of stress and keeps individuals from being fully present in the moment. This can result in a situation where pre-planned activities become joyless. For instance, the person described above who maps out their day might feel they are simply ticking items off a to-do list and not enjoy the activity in itself. Contrast this with a more spontaneous lifestyle that still entails productivity but does not set a purposeful goal for every action. This person will accomplish just as much but enjoy it much more since they can be fully invested in the moment and act.

In conclusion, the useful aspects of planning do not outweigh the worth derived from spontaneous action. Individuals must naturally strike a balance but be mindful they are not subordinating an activity to its utilitarian value.

Many are of the opinion that it is of paramount importance to plan out their free time activities in advance, while others choose a more spontaneous way of living. Although planning can be of enormous use for individuals, I am strongly convinced that it may both add undue stress and make their daily activities appear monotonous. The arrangement for recreational activities beforehand brings about exceptional benefits. This is because individuals can plan to partake in or perform activities that possibly add values to their lives such as reading books, doing exercise, cooking a healthy meal, or merely addressing certain incomplete tasks at work. These productive tasks, if performed according to the plans, are likely to instill in them a sense of fulfillment at the end of the day. Furthermore, knowing what individuals should do in detail in their free time can avoid them immersing themselves excessively in leisure activities, thus encroaching on time spent on other priorities such as working or studying. Therefore, it is understandable why many place a strong emphasis on planning recreational activities ahead of time. Nonetheless, I claim that making plans about what individuals should do in their free time is likely to impose unnecessary stress and hinder their enjoyment of these activities. First, the truth is that not everything can go according to the plans as unexpected situations may arise. Therefore, if individuals are unable to tick off all boxes on their to-do lists due to unforeseeable circumstances such as illnesses or accidents, it is possible that they may feel stressed or even depressed because of not being productive enough, which possibly wreaks havoc on their mental health. Second, planning may lead to recreational activities both less predictable and appealing, potentially depriving individuals of their enjoyment which is the primary purpose of leisure activities in the first place. In conclusion, I opine that despite enabling individuals to be more productive in their spare time, arranging free time activities in advance may do more harm than good. Therefore, a balance between enjoying recreational activities and their utilitarian values is necessary.

Some people hear the phrase ‘leisure time’ and see it as an automatic free pass to lounge around and do nothing. While that’s perfectly fine on occasion, leisure time can offer a great opportunity to catch up on unfinished tasks or advance yourself personally or professionally. In this article, we'll show you a variety of useful and productive ways you can spend your free time.

Engaging in Personal Development

Step 1 Review your goals and set new ones.

  • For instance, if you set a goal last month to “Save $250,” you might check your savings to see how well you are advancing towards this goal. If you are progressing as expected, move on to the next goal. However, if you have fallen behind, you may choose to lower the goal (to say, “$150”) or figure out a strategy to help you stay on track like getting a side job.

Step 2 Identify some things you’d like to learn.

  • Make a list of a few new skills you’d like to obtain. These may include tasks like learning a new language, enhancing your understanding of computers, or learning to ride a horse.
  • For a balanced life, choose some skills that relate to your personal or professional development, and some hobbies that you want to pick up purely out of curiosity.

Step 3 Streamline your to-do list.

  • Write down your most important to-dos for the following week on a sheet of paper. Then, decide if this task requires one or several steps. Rather than writing “complete History essay,” individual action steps like “find resources for history paper,” “create outline,” and “write first draft.”
  • One-step to-do lists are much more likely to have check marks at the end of the day.

Step 4 Make some extra money.

Connecting Socially

Step 1 Expand your professional network.

  • Look up networking events in your area or put out feelers at work or in your professional organization to learn about after-hours events.

Step 2 Invite some friends or family over.

  • Plan a movie night, game night, or ice cream social. Call up a few friends or family members you never get to see and invite them to join in on the fun. Connecting with those you love is a wonderful way to spend your downtime.

Our Family Plays Games

Our Family Plays Games

Strengthen your friendships by playing board games. Board games are a great way to connect with others, and can even help you make new friendships. Join a local game night or invite people to your house. Board games are a magic conversation starter. You'll be surprised by the connections you forge over the game table.

Step 3 Start a volunteer commitment.

  • You might help plan a community event, work in a homeless shelter, or pick up trash after the annual carnival.

Step 4 Do random acts of kindness.

  • These acts can be anything, from dropping off fresh-baked muffins to your elderly neighbor or volunteering to watch your sibling’s kids so they can go on a date. Make a list of fun ways you can give back to those around you, and aim to complete one random act each day. [7] X Research source

Focusing on Health

Step 1 Find some healthy recipes you’d like to try.

  • Ask your roommate, partner, or children to help you. This will help you get the task done faster. Plus, you’ll have more fun as you work together.

Step 2 Exercise.

  • Allot at least 30 minutes to running, walking, biking or some other preferred activity. You can even turn on some music and shake your hips as you cook or clean your home.

Step 3 Stock your self-care toolbox.

  • Stock your self-care toolbox with items and activities that rejuvenate your mind and body. You might include scented candles and lotions, bubble bath or salts, a coloring book, a novel, a knitting project, or your favorite movie.

Step 4 Tidy your home.

  • Use natural cleaning products to reduce your exposure to toxins to further benefit your overall health and well-being.

Leisure Time: The Types of Activities Essay

  • To find inspiration for your paper and overcome writer’s block

Introduction

Leisure time freedom, discipline during leisure time, extreme leisure activities.

Leisure time refers to the time in one’s life when one is free from the demands of his/her duties or studies. During this time, one is free to spend his/her time as he wills or as he deems right. Many people opt to spend this time having fun in different ways as a way of relieving the physical and mental stress accumulated during working hours. To some, this is an opportunity to visit friends and family. Whatever activity one chooses depends on one’s interest and the idea of having fun (Bull, et al., 2003).

Leisure time may however be confused for freedom to do anything during one’s free time. There are limits to which one can exercise during his free time. For instance, when one’s way of spending leisure interferes with someone else’s freedom, then there is definitely a limit.

The freedom that people have during their leisure time may be controlled in some cases depending on the level of engagement. Although leisure time refers to free time that one can spend in whatever way he/she wills, some form of control usually exists. For instance, teenagers’ leisure time has some form of control that comes in different ways. There are reasons why some people tend to have an inclination towards extreme sports. This paper covers these issues in detail and gives examples in relevant sections.

Freedom during leisure time refers to the ability to undertake any event for whatever length of time without any form of restrictions. This form of leisure time does not usually exist since there is always some form of control during leisure time. Though leisure time looks like a time when one can do what he/she wills for whatever length of time, this does not in practice exist. Some form of control usually exists for different individuals depending on age, cultural inclination, and length of time available (Harris, 2005).

Teenagers’ leisure times are always controlled lest they engage in destructive activities. Rules are set by parents in the type of activities they may engage and those that they may not engage in lest they get grounded. Teenagers are controlled from engaging in activities such as some very extreme sports, joining peer groups that are destructive and engaging in drugs and alcoholism. Parents on the other hand are limited by other activities which curtail the length of time they engage in leisure activities. For example, it is not possible for a couple to go fishing the whole day leaving their young children unattended.

There is always a compulsion to get back home and take care of the kids among other chores. Leisure time may be one’s free time but it is always controlled by other activities in terms of extent and time that it may continue (Bull, et al., 2003).

It is very important to have some form of control during leisure time. This applies to both the young and the old since discipline makes leisure time more enjoyable in the long run. Discipline ensures consistency during leisure activities while helping an individual maintain a healthy physique. Lack of discipline or some form of control can only lead to destructive engagement which may not be productive in the long run. Parents use some form of restrictive discipline on their children by setting limits that the children may extend as they enjoy their leisure time. On the other hand, parents exercise discipline and control during their free time to ensure that they set a good example for their children.

Discipline helps in controlling freedom as earlier discussed. Without discipline, people would tend to misuse the freedom they have during their free time. For example, lack of discipline when engaging in some extreme sports such as skateboarding may be very lethal and it is important for one to learn the rules of engaging in such sports (Harris, 2005).

Extreme sports are considered to be more lethal compared to other forms of spending leisure. There are many extreme sports today and it is advisable for one to be very careful when engaging in any of them. Enough practice is very necessary before engaging in any extreme sport. Usually, extreme sports that some people engage in, involve the public exhibitions of dangerous stunts as a way of spending leisure. For instance, skateboarding and mountain biking are two extreme sports that people engage in to get thrilled and for excitement.

People engage in extreme sports for different reasons during leisure time. The biggest contributor towards engaging in this type of extreme sports especially among teenagers is the influence of television and video games. Teenagers would always wish to practice what they watch. Others engage in this type of sport simply because they believe that it is the best way of relieving stress. When a person engages in extreme sports, more adrenaline is released which presents one of the best ways of getting rid of stress (Tamara, 2010). People, therefore, tend to engage in some extreme sports which they believe are more relaxing than ordinary leisure activities such as reading or watching.

Leisure time is very important to any individual. This is a time when a person is able to relieve him/herself of day stress accumulated during work or studies. People are always allowed to spend their leisure time in whatever way they want so long as they do not break the set ground rules which in a way curtail the freedom that some people may want to enjoy. It is important to have some form of control or discipline during leisure time. This applies especially when engaging in extreme sports which some people engage in for excitement and thrill.

IELTS Essay, topic: Leisure time activities

  • IELTS Essays - Band 6
  • by Simone Braverman

Some people think that it is important to use leisure time for activities that develop the mind, such as reading and doing crossword puzzles. Others feel that it is important to give one’s mind a rest in leisure time. Discuss.

how do i spend my leisure time essay

Some people want to relax after their day of work. These people may prefer to relax by watching movies, reading or getting a massage. People who have a such as doctors, teachers and builders may choose these types of activities. If you are a doctor, you may feel that you want to let your body rest after work and you don’t want to do a five kilometer run after work, because you are already physically tired.

On the other hand, some people choose to be active in their leisure time because they do . For example, these people many spend all day sitting on a chair and their work. At the end of a working day, they a backache, and all of their body tired so they need to stretch their arms and improve their health by doing some activity such as going to the gym or swimming.

To sum up, the important thing is that people want to stay healthy by choosing what is best for them. In my view, the wrong way is to stay at home in your leisure time if you have a job.

This essay needs work. It has the right structure and covers the task. However there are many poorly structured sentences, many of the sentences are too simple and don’t have enough complexity, there are grammatical errors and some prepositions are use incorrectly (see comments underlined in blue). Overall, this looks like a Band 6 – 6.5 essay.

8 Productive Ways To Spend Your Leisure Time

We really don’t have too much time on our hands. As a society, as a species (thanks global warming 🙃) and even more so as individuals. Finding time for yourself can indeed prove to be challenging in the hustle and bustle of everyday life. If you clock in about 7 hours of sleep and 8 hours at the office or at class, that leaves you about 9 hours in your day for recreation, that is, without considering your daily rituals — freshening up, mealtimes and commute. So when you do find yourself with time to spare, it’s important to make the most of it. Here are 8 productive ways to spend your free time:

1. Reading 📚 ‍

Reading comes with innumerable advantages and benefits, especially amongst the youth . It not only stimulates the mind and reduces stress, but also exposes oneself to the best thoughts, ideas and stories from all of history all over the world. It makes you smarter by improving your vocabulary and aiding writing skills and boosts creativity. Getting lost in a good book is a great escape from the troubles and worries of everyday life, while reading a self help book can allow you to grow professionally and personally. It has been proven that reading also does wonders for your concentration and memory retention. It’s quite literally the best way to pass your time.

‍ (One of my favorite books for leisure reading is The Little Prince.)

Dr. Wade Fish, Director at Northcentral University’s Graduate School, said, “Reading expands a person’s appreciation toward other life experiences the reader is not personally experiencing, especially when reading topics that are not related to that reader’s job or lifestyle.”

2. Writing ✍🏻

We’re out of the frying pan and into the fire with writing. Writing’s benefits are more settled in the communication sphere of an individual when compared to those of reading. It improves your communication with others and provides clarity in thought as well as in the use of your words. Additionally, writing has benefits that cater to your emotional self as well. It provides a channel to healthily express your feelings and emotions and frankly, gain awareness of your reality . Journaling has proven to be one of the most beneficial practices for mindfulness and mental well being, while prose poetry and lyricism allow your creativity and individuality to shine.

3. Learning a language 🔠

Now this one’s a biggie! Learning a new language may seem like an intimidating, uphill task until you realize that you’re under no pressure to be going at a certain speed or curriculum. Everything you do, you do at your leisure . While I know learning a new language is not as easy as I’ve cracked it up to be, the internet really helps you out in the process. With the necessary help from YouTube and learning apps like DuoLingo , the world of languages is up for grabs . You can unravel an entire culture’s worth of experiences through the gateway of its language by devoting just half an hour a day to the same. Learning a new language offers you an edge in the professional world, and it is also advantageous to your personality and mental ability with benefits like improved memory, better multitasking skills, and multiple others.

4. Taking up a hobby 🎨

In a world where we’re so cramped for time, it is almost impossible to understand what one must do when he/she has a few moments to himself. We’ve been starved from leisure time to the extent that we haven’t thought about what we would be doing on our time off. One solution to this would be taking up a hobby. Whether it’s music, painting, knitting, movies, playing a sport or fandom; hobbies are a great way to add to your personality and potentially your skillset and intellect. Doing what you love can be a great boost for your mental health . Moreover, pursuing a hobby can be the start to great friendships as you meet like-minded people interested in the same activities as you are.

5. Working out 🏋️

Barely any time to spare means you don’t have any time to dedicate to anything but the new age rudiments of work, work and work. In the transition from running around day and night as a child to becoming a selectively hibernating post-adolescent, we barely realized the degree to which we have become laidback and lethargic. Leading a sedentary lifestyle poses serious physical and mental risks, which makes it extremely important to engage in some form of physical activity daily, be it a short walk, yoga, or hardcore cardio. While gymming is a great way to work out, it offers obstacles in terms of the fees that you pay for it to the cumbersome roads you take to make it to the doorstep. A more elegant solution would be to go on a ten minute run in the morning (and a 10-minute walk after dinner) to make sure that you haven’t lost that boost of energy that you once possessed. For a more core work-out, you can never go wrong with planking, pushups and/or crunches, all of which can be easily performed at home. Yoga is a great form of exercise which fosters physical, emotional and mental wellbeing. YouTube also offers several home work-out videos that cater to different body types, requirements and time constraints.

6. Playing a sport ⚽

If working out isn’t your game, why not try another one? Playing a sport from time to time is a great way to make sure you’re always connected to your body. It provides all the perks of working out while giving it a little bit of a competitive edge to push yourself harder. Most sports involve multiple people so it can also be your way of meeting people and making new friends. Engaging in a sport can make staying physically active and mentally healthy enjoyable and effortless!

7. Socializing and networking 🤝

Human beings are inherently social creatures. Socializing and networking is an important part of our lives. Living in isolation and solitude can take a toll on every aspect of our life. Hanging out with peers at work or school/college isn’t enough to quench the thirst you have to connect with people and society at large. It might be a good idea to go out with a few friends for an evening at least once in a couple of weeks. Rejuvenate yourself by cleansing yourself of shop-talk and indulging in some much-needed banter. It’ll improve the way you function and also leave you in a better mood. Moreover, connecting with people from different circles and backgrounds can teach you a lot about the world and enable you to grow personally and intellectually.

8. Resting 💤

In today's fast paced world, we are literally on our toes (or at our desks) all the time. Our bodies and minds are almost always exhausted from long hours of work. It's important that we give them the time they need to relax and reset. Rest is important for improved physical and mental health, improved moods and healthier immune systems. All your body craves after a long, tiring day of work is some rest. Have a bellyful of something comforting and nourishing, take a shower and call it a day. You have a long day ahead of you starting tomorrow until the end of the week. Recharge yourself for the adventures you will take on then.

As W.H. Davies rightly summed up in his poem, Leisure , “What is this life if, full of care, We have no time to stand and stare?” The world is constantly changing and evolving, but taking time out for yourself and doing what makes you happy must never go out of fashion.

If you're an educator, coach, or mentor, life can get busy, and finding time for yourself can be a real challenge. Make the most of your free moments with productive activities like reading, writing, learning a language, taking up a hobby, working out, playing a sport, socializing, and resting. At Classcard , we understand the importance of efficient time management. Task 2: Use of Leisure Time

by Phuong Nhung Nguyen (Hanoi, Vietnam)

Prime Boasting Remain our adaptation discrepant even contrast due to two ways are appropriate job is not much uptight
To entertain = Definition: To receive, or provide entertainment for, guests; as, he entertains generously. You don’t want this meaning so you must put ‘themselves’ after it i.e. 'entertain themselves."
Some suggest that it is better to do activities that boost the mind like reading and solving word puzzles, whereas, in contrast, others want to relax their brain completely in their leisure time.
We can retain our ability to work under pressure despite the fact that we are free for quite a while.

Over the few decades with the influence of technology and science, some choices and leisure activities are transforming into modern and affecting our lives in different ways. While technology is convincing people’s lives around the world, it is true that some traditional cultures become popular individually. I agree with this topic equally.

It is fact that computer and internet are generating verities of new ideas and games to provide people for leisure activity who are adopting and changing as their tastes. In previous time people who would enjoyed playing computer games very much, nowadays, are turning their opinions into internet video conference and live games from different countries as better option. Secondly, latest technology makes people fascinate and persuades them to accept new inventions to keep pace with modern world. The electronic toys which were not available in the past helped the children to be creative and brainchild that were important to expedite the psycho-socio development for them. Thirdly, to promote the socio economic cultural development, technological improvement on social activity should be mandatory rather than the individual choice on pastime works. The more update in hobbies and tastes people would like to accept, the more cultural progress we could expect in our country.

The conventional hobbies, however, should be given priority to retain our previous tradition that would play great role to be innovative because it means that it upholds our identity of everyday activity. For example, lone tennis might not be disappeared because individual-liking would grasp this game for personal purpose that provides players to be efficient and confident mentally and physically. Moreover, traditional leisure works make people to produce new ideas and popularity that help to hasten the overall development. Besides, as it is played internationally, such type of activity has more significant than others.

In recapitulation, I think that while new invention of science compels us to adopt modern culture, traditional activity has equal important role in our society.

Leisure time should be spent in the manner which is morally acceptable and also in a manner which interests the individual. Every individual has its own inclinations, ideas and personal preferences. To assert that the leisure time should be spent in one way only would not be suitable at all. Leisure time is meant to give respite to the individuals from their hectic lifestyles and jobs, the individual can decide the manner which is most suitable according to his preferences so that he could derive the required benefit from it.

Many prefer to spend their leisure time pursuing more intellectual interests. Reading books, solving puzzles, watching informative documentaries etc, others would prefer to spend it resting or globe trotting. Some would indulge in sports to clear their minds and exercise which a person could be deprived of, crammed behind the work desk.

Those who indulge in honing their intellectual skills will find that it will help in progressing in their career, and will result in accolade from fellow colleagues and friends. others who spend it resting will benefit from it as well if they have had a rough time working, it will give them the peace of mind necessary to preserve pleasant mood and sanity. However, one should try to strike a balance between rest, travel and intellectual pursuits; that would be leisure time well spent.

Nowadays people are overwhelmed with the busy life so they need time to relax. If we don't get time for leisure, it effects our health very badly. Leisure time has lots of benefit but I am going to discuss few. Firstly if people opt to go gym by joining a gym they will be physically fit. Even though some are busy in their family life but if they do chatting with their friends they can be socially connected.
In essence leisure time is important for every body as it balances our life.

Hi all,

Some think that putting flamboyant words or using catchy idioms and phrases can get you more bands.

It is a wrong conception rather it can lower your scores as one misfit word, phrase or idiom will spoil the whole show.

Use simple, flawless sentences without making any spelling mistake (extremly dangerous) - you can come out with flying colours. One wrong move can spoil the beauty of your writing so be careful.

Spend even 10 minuits to plan your essay, that will be the best utilization of the time not a wastage. Good luck

In modern era, people are too busy in there routine, don't have so much time for own health. However, to improve the health and working capacity needs to schedule free time.

It is frequently believe that, to use spare time people should do some activities like reading the books or solve puzzles for improve the mind. Partially I am in the favour of this statement. However, I also believe that to entertainment facilities such watching TV or Shopping play a significant role to rest the mind.

Nevertheless, it's depends on the individual interest and occupation because nobody can force to others, how they should spend there leisure time. Few people have office job or may be others have physically stressful job.

Thus, who have office job they feels more relax to do physical exercise like yoga, Swimming, running or walking in fresh air, because they have to spend most of the time during working hours in a cabin with burden of paper and computer work.

However, others have physically demanding job such as waiter, engineer, doctor or in marketing field. In these type of profession may be nobody will be able to do running after work shift. So especially these category folks prefer few entertainment activities like watching movies, browsing Internet or take a nap.

To conclude, health play a Vital role in life. Individual determine that how they love to enhance there health according to own responsibility and Interest to get rid from everyday stress and to be healthy.

Leisure time is free time spent away from other responsibilities such as business, job, domestic chores or education. This is a unique moment for us and, while some people think they can boost their mindset by using this time to do some fun activities, I firmly believe that by giving our mind rest we can help enhance them too. And any kind of leisure time activities are necessary for human body physically and spiritually.

On one hand, it is said that people should work on words puzzles or read books or learn a new language perpetually in order to improve their mind capabilities. By doing these things, the mind starts to think deeply and solve the given problems. For example, when a human read a book he/she acquires more vocabulary and this can enhance the mind’s ability to retain words and can help prevent some mind diseases such as Alzheimer's.

Another noticeable option for leisure time is doing some specific recreational activity such as bird watching or fishing in order to let the mind to take time to refresh even by sleeping. Not devoting enough attention to rest and sleeping will make us exhausted and irritable and the quality of our work will decrease. Above all the propensity for violence comes from the lack of resting. A new study suggests that sleep problem plays far greater role in aggression than any previous research suspected.

In conclusion, mankind needs a range of recreational activities from watching the birds to climbing mountain but all should be in balance.

A family holds a million laughs, secrets, memories, and experiences that cannot be duplicated by any other group of people. Every member contributes a different aspect to the group through the journey of life. All families go through very different struggles and obstacles, and work together to handle what they have been given. Differences among families are what make our lives so unique and colorful.…

Another reason why family is important to my life is because of the knowledge I am exposed to. Nothing is more exhilarating to me than listening to wisdom or just encouraging words that seem to mean nothing to me at first glance then being able to apply them later in life. Lastly, my most important reason is because music has made my relationship with God closer than ever, because of everything I have gained through family, I am confident I’m going in the right direction with my life. I have finally found my passion for helping…

Case Study: Briefly Summarize A Social History

From the time I was a little girl, family has always been important to me. I love my family dearly, and they are extremely important to me. My parents have been married for 32 years and they are still happily married, which is something that I strive for in my own life. I have an older brother, Josh and a sister-in-law named Jessie, who gave me the cutest niece and nephew ever. Bentleigh is five and she is as sassy as ever. Riggs is 7 months old and is the happiest baby I have ever met. Being their Aunt JJ is a huge blessing for me. I do not have my own kids yet but I honestly never knew that my heart could love somebody that I just met until Bentleigh and Riggs were born. My parents have always raised me in church and made that an important part of life. Furthermore, my faith is very important to me. When I was little my Mamaw had to go into the nursing home; there was simply no way around it. This shook my little world. She was my Mamaw, my best friend, the…

Sociological Perspective On Family Analysis

What Makes Me Happy

First of all, my family makes me feel happy. My family is a safe harbor where I can be myself. It is not necessary for me to explain myself to my family because only they truly know who I am. I can be sure that even if someone lies to me or hurts me, my family will support me. What is more, caring about my family also makes me happy.
