Show your enthusiasm for the subject

Tutors like to see personal statements where your enthusiasm for the subject and your own voice come across in an interesting and spontaneous way.

Try and view the statement as a way to introduce yourself and establish a personal relationship with the universities you’re applying to, not just as a way of 'selling yourself'. Remember, provided you are a suitable applicant, then some, if not all the unis you apply to, will invite you to an applicants’ open day, which often includes an informal, friendly interview where your personal statement will be discussed.

There’s a subtle balance to be struck here. Your personal statement needs to be well structured, carefully written, grammatically correct, and should avoid sounding too quirky. But at the same time it should also retain a personal touch. It’s good to see what you get up to in your spare time'. Sure, universities want to recruit the best students they can, but it’s equally important to them that you also make the right choice.
• Subject knowledge: Bournemouth University wants to know what it is that appeals to you about the 'interdisciplinary nature of environmental science' or the mixture of 'private study and field-based practical skills' involved in the course.
• How your current studies relate: Queen Mary University of London suggests writing about your current studies and the skills you’ve developed, explaining what you gained from any relevant experience or showing your understanding of one or two topical issues.
• Environmental engagement: you should also evidence 'how you relate with the environmental problems of our times' or your 'enthusiasm for investigating complex environmental systems', according to Bournemouth.

My passion and interest in environmental science stems from my extensive travelling experiences throughout my childhood; by visiting volcanoes in Hawaii, coral reefs in Australia and glaciers in Europe, I gained an appreciation and wonder for the diversity of our eco systems. Australia’s Great Barrier Reef is extraordinary, but its beauty is daily threatened by worsening problems of coral degradation and over-fishing; recent research has underlined decline in the shark population due to these changes to their environment. The implications of environmental issues are at the forefront of political, social and economic debate; the 2006 Stern Review highlighted the economic and human cost of ignoring climate change, and today it is even more important to find efficient, innovative ways to minimise decline of our global environment.

From new architectural and building techniques to modes of transport, how we live is increasingly impacted by initiatives to preserve environmental resources. The area of environmental science which is of particular interest to me is our increasing dependence on fossil fuels, along with the growing demand for green energy. After reading Heinburg’s “The Party’s Over” it became apparent to me that as the world’s oil resources run low, there is an ever increasing need and urgency for countries to protect, regulate and utilise correctly the raw materials that they possess; this often leads to innovative new discovery and invention, as epitomised by a recent New Scientist article discussing the possibility of electric roads to power cars and reduce carbon emissions. My passion for this topic inspired me to examine how energy can be utilised from various forms of waste, for my Extended Project Qualification. Reading and analysing research papers and books and subsequently presenting data in a persuasive manner gave me a taste of independent study, as well as time management skills to preserve my other commitments.

I chose to study Biology, Chemistry, Geography and Maths at AS to gain the varied skills needed as a foundation for further scientific study. Biology has introduced me to enlightening topics including ecological pyramids, which epitomise the interdependency of ecosystems and concurrently the need to preserve these intact. I am excited to further develop my specialist knowledge by focusing on environmental sciences at degree level. Chemistry and Maths have provided me with flexible analytical and quantitative skills which have also been useful on fieldtrips in Geography, where collecting and collating research efficiently is essential.

I helped found my school Ecology Club, which enabled me to put my communication skills to good use and work as part of a team. The projects undertaken within the club have highlighted the benefits of sustainability on a local level, which won our school a Green Flag award for its contribution. I have also worked in a large garden centre to expand my awareness of plant species, as well as improve my ability to work independently and take on a position of responsibility. On recommendation from my employer my school awarded me with a Work Experience Excellence certificate for my outstanding performance in the workplace. Completing Bronze and Gold Duke of Edinburgh Awards has allowed me to further appreciate how delicate and challenging our environment can be, imparting extensive practice of orienteering, team work and outdoor survival. I am a young leader with the local Guide group and must be consistently reliable when organising and monitoring activities on a weekly basis. Through this experience I have been able to improve my interpersonal and leadership skills.

Through this degree programme I would like to continue to gain the knowledge and skills needed to study and develop the future use of green energy in both industrial and domestic markets, and am eager to play a key part in this exciting field and help preserve its integrity.

In a world where the fragile balance of our planet is constantly under threat, I find solace in the prospect of dedicating my life to understanding and protecting the environment. The field of Environmental Science has always captivated me, offering the opportunity to unravel the intricate complexities of our natural world and contribute to its preservation for future generations.

The subject of Environmental Science excites me immensely because it provides a holistic approach to studying the environment, encompassing various disciplines such as biology , chemistry , geology, and ecology. Sample Personal Statement Environment and Sustainability

“Scientists study the world as it is; engineers create a world that has never been.” Theodore Von Karman

This quote from Karman sums it up for me as I belong to a family of Civil Engineers. I had grown up watching buildings being constructed, concrete pouring, and the vast green land converted to grey structures – even my beloved football ground. Slowly I realized that the areas that reflected soothing greenery and captivating designs are now tarnished with unfettered traffic and illegal encroachments. Dingy streets, ill planning, and neglected construction make it hard for outsiders to locate a place. As these areas grew more populated and congested, I experienced soaring temperatures at an alarmingly increased rate. Even without any technical knowledge, I can see that lack of planning in construction is putting pressure on our resources.

My four years in civil engineering opened a whole new world to me, just as exciting as I had imagined. One of my favorite courses was related to “Environmental Engineering.” Through this course, I developed an essential skillset in evaluating construction designs in the local context of Dubai. It made me realize that energy, climate, and infrastructure systems are closely tied together, and these connections manifest in various forms. Our society cannot function without energy and infrastructure systems. Since then, I have used every opportunity to upsurge my knowledge of Sustainable Designs further and spread awareness about intelligent designs.

I joined ASHRAE (American Society of Heating Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers) and held the president’s office. As a president, I worked actively to spread awareness about resource constraints and why eco-friendly construction designs are the need of the day. In addition, I arranged policy dialogues where students presented their innovative green approaches toward infrastructure design to pioneers in the construction industry.

During one such conversation, my idea of researching Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymers (CFRP) caught the attention of Martin Brudermüller, Director of BASF SE. He encouraged me to explore more on this in the shape of a thesis. Working on this thesis was an eye-opener for me.

I found out that CFRP is a highly costly material that is inefficiently used in current construction practices. This material is wrapped around the whole column to raise the strength of the structure. After intensive research, I discovered we could achieve the same power by wrapping the columns with only 20% of the CFRP from the top. This was groundbreaking research as I found an innovative way of reducing construction costs. After graduation, I looked for careers where I could apply my research findings in practical settings.

Thankfully, I found a perfect match in Jacobs Solutions, an American international technical professional services firm. Jacobs Solutions envisions changing redundant practices of construction. At Jacobs, I have worked as Assistant Engineer for eight months. Working at Jacobs, I came in close contact with foreign consultants better grounded in applying the latest construction materials than civil engineers. Interacting with these consultants regularly, I realized that my skill set in sustainable and eco-friendly design is rudimentary. For example, during the Kidney and Liver Institute and Research Center construction, renewable energy and materials have been incorporated to reduce the overall carbon footprint and make the project green and sustainable.

However, I must admit that these consultants are highly paid, which increases the indirect cost of these projects because we lack skilled professionals in sustainable engineering. Realizing the current gaps in the industry and the potential of eco-friendly materials, I want to pursue a master’s degree in Sustainable Engineering. This is a popular area of specialization since we live in a world with limited natural resources. The importance of Sustainable Engineering cannot be overstated because our green spaces are being converted to grey structures. Pursuing a Master’s degree in sustainable engineering, I want to reverse the order. I want to design efficient structures with eco-friendly materials, so my children see grey structures turning green. I am confident that a Master’s degree in Sustainable engineering will go a long way in fulfilling my dreams and aspirations.

As they set about writing a personal statement, students need to demonstrate the drive, ambition, relevant skills and notable achievements that make them a  suitable candidate for the universities they have chosen to apply to . 

But the UCAS Personal Statement requires students to write a lot about themselves in a relatively short space of time. That’s why lots of planning, a tight structure and a compelling story are essential if a student’s Personal Statement is to truly excel.

As they begin to plan their Personal Statement, students may feel intimidated. It’s not easy to summarise your academic interests and personal ambitions, especially when you’re competing for a place on a course which is popular or has demanding entry requirements. In particular, students will likely come up against the following challenges.

Time pressure

Unfortunately, the Personal Statement (and other aspects of university preparation) comes during the busiest year of the student’s academic life so far.

Students, and indeed teachers and counsellors, must undertake the planning and writing of the personal statement whilst juggling other commitments, classes and deadlines, not to mention revision and open day visits!

Because there is already a lot of academic pressure on students in their final year of secondary school, finding the time and headspace for the personal statement can be hard, and can mean it gets pushed to the last minute. The risks of leaving it to the last minute are fairly obvious – the application will seem rushed and the necessary thought and planning won’t go into  making the personal statement the best it can be . 

Sticking closely to the Personal Statement format

The character limit which UCAS sets for the personal statement is very strict – up to 4,000 characters of text. This means that students have to express themselves in a clear and concise way; it’s also important that they don’t feel the need to fill the available space needlessly.  Planning and redrafting of a personal statement is essential .

Making it stand out

This is arguably the greatest challenge facing students – making sure that their statement sets them apart from everyone else who is competing for a place on any given course; in 2024 alone, UCAS received applications from 594,940 applicants. In addition, UCAS uses its own dedicated team and purpose built software to check every application for plagiarism, so it’s crucial that students craft a truly  original personal statement which is entirely their own work .

The essential ingredients for writing a great UCAS Personal Statement

Planning a ucas personal statement.

It might sound like a no-brainer, but it’s vital that students plan their Personal Statement before they start writing it. Specifically, the planning phase could include: 

• Students thoroughly researching the UK university courses they plan on applying to. 
• Deciding on what relevant material to include in their Personal Statement (we’ll cover this in more detail later on). 
• Writing an unedited first draft where they just get their thoughts and ideas down on paper. 

Structuring a UCAS Personal Statement

As we’ve discussed, the UCAS Personal Statement requires students to be extremely disciplined – they will be required to condense a lot of information into a relatively short written statement. This means that, after they’ve written a rough first draft, they need to think carefully about how they structure the final statement. 

A stand out Personal Statement will need a tight structure, with an introduction and a conclusion that make an impact and really help to tell a story about who your student is, and why they are drawn to studying this particular degree. 

This brings us nicely to our third and final ingredient…

Telling a story with a Personal Statement

The UCAS Personal Statement is a student’s opportunity to show a university who they are and how their life experiences have shaped their academic interests and goals. 

So a good Personal Statement needs to offer a compelling narrative, and that means making sure that a student’s writing is well-structured, and that every sentence and paragraph is serving the statement’s ultimate purpose –  to convince a university that your student deserves a place on their subject of choice. 

How to help your students start their UCAS Personal Statement

In order to ensure that a personal statement is delivered on time and to an appropriate standard, it’s essential to plan thoroughly before writing it. Here are some questions you can ask your students before they start writing:

How can you demonstrate a formative interest in your subject?

It may sound obvious but, in order for any UCAS personal statement to have the necessary structure and clarity, students need to think hard about why they want to study their chosen subject. Ask them to think about their responses to the following questions:

What inspired you to study your chosen subject?

Example answer:  My desire to understand the nature of reality has inspired me to apply for Physics and Philosophy

Was there a formative moment when your perspective on this subject changed, or when you decided you wanted to study this subject in more detail?

Example answer:  My interest in philosophy was awakened when I questioned my childhood religious beliefs; reading Blackburn’s “Think”, convinced me to scrutinise my assumptions about the world, and to ensure I could justify my beliefs.

Can you point to any role models, leading thinkers, or notable literature which has in turn affected your thinking and/or inspired you?

Example answer :  The search for a theory of everything currently being conducted by physicists is of particular interest to me and in “The Grand Design” Hawking proposes a collection of string theories, dubbed M-theory, as the explanation of why the universe is the way it is.

Asking your students to think about the “why” behind their chosen subject discipline is a useful first step in helping them to organise their overall statement. Next, they need to be able to demonstrate evidence of their suitability for a course or degree. 

How have you demonstrated the skills and aptitudes necessary for your chosen course?

Encourage students to think about times where they have demonstrated the necessary skills to really stand out. It’s helpful to think about times when they have utilised these skills both inside and outside the classroom. Ask students to consider their responses to the following questions. 

Can you demonstrate critical and independent thinking around your chosen subject discipline?

Example answer :  Currently I am studying Maths and Economics in addition to Geography. Economics has been a valuable tool, providing the nuts and bolts to economic processes, and my geography has provided a spatial and temporal element.

Are you able to demonstrate skills and competencies which will be necessary for university study?

These include qualities such as teamwork, time management and the ability to organise workload responsibly.

Example answer:  This year I was selected to be captain of the 1st XV rugby team and Captain of Swimming which will allow me to further develop my leadership, teamwork and organisational skills.

How have your extracurricular activities helped prepare you for university?

Students may believe that their interests outside the classroom aren’t relevant to their university application. So encourage them to think about how their other interests can demonstrate the subject-related skills that universities are looking for in an application. Ask students to think about any of the following activities, and how they might be related back to the subject they are applying for.

• Clubs/societies, or volunteering work which they can use to illustrate attributes such as teamwork, an interest in community service and the ability to manage their time proactively.
• Have they been elected/nominated as a team captain, or the head of a particular club or society, which highlights leadership skills and an ability to project manage?
• Can they point to any awards or prizes they may have won, whether it’s taking up a musical instrument, playing a sport, or participating in theatre/performing arts?
• Have they achieved grades or qualifications as part of their extracurricular activities? These can only help to demonstrate aptitude and hard work. 

How to write the UCAS Personal Statement [with examples] 

If sufficient planning has gone into the personal statement, then your students should be ready to go!

In this next section, we’ll break down the individual components of the UCAS Personal Statement and share some useful examples.

These examples come from a Personal Statement in support of an application to study Environmental Science at a UK university.

Introduction.

This is the chance for an applying student to really grab an admission tutor’s attention. Students need to demonstrate both a personal passion for their subject, and explain why they have an aptitude for it .  This section is where students should begin to discuss any major influences or inspirations that have led them to this subject choice. 

Example :  My passion for the environment has perhaps come from the fact that I have lived in five different countries: France, England, Spain, Sweden and Costa Rica. Moving at the age of 15 from Sweden, a calm and organized country, to Costa Rica, a more diverse and slightly chaotic country, was a shock for me at first and took me out of my comfort zone […] Also, living in Costa Rica, one of the most biodiverse countries in the world, definitely helped me realize how vulnerable the world is and how we need to take care of it in a sustainable manner. 

This opening paragraph immediately grabs the reader’s attention by giving the reader an insight into this student’s background and links their academic interests with something specific from the student’s personal backstory. 

Discussing Academic Achievements 

The next paragraph in this Personal Statement discusses the student’s academic achievements. Because this student has had an international education, they frame their academic achievements in the context of their personal background. They also cite useful examples of other curricula they have studied and the grades they have achieved. 

Example : 

Throughout my academic life I have shown myself to be a responsible student as well as a hard working one, despite the fact that I have had to move around a lot. I have achieved several other accomplishments such as a high A (286/300) in AS Spanish at age 15, and also completed a Spanish course of secondary studies for ‘MEP’(Ministerio de Educacion Publica), which is a system from Costa Rica.   

You’ll notice that this student doesn’t just list their achievements – their strong academic performance is always linked back to a wider discussion of their personal experiences. 

Showcasing Extracurricular Activities

As well as discussing academic achievements, a good Personal Statement should also discuss the student’s extracurricular activities, and how they relate back to the student’s overall university aspirations. 

By the third/fourth paragraph of the Personal Statement, students should think about incorporating their extracurricular experiences, 

Another valuable experience was when my class spent a week at a beach called ‘Pacuare’ in order to help prevent the eggs of the endangered leatherback turtle from being stolen by poachers who go on to sell them like chicken eggs. We all gained teamwork experience, which was needed in order to hide the eggs silently without scaring the mother turtles, as well as making it more difficult for the poachers to find them. 

When the poachers set fire to one of the sustainable huts where we were staying, not only did I gain self-awareness about the critical situation of the world and its ecosystems, I also matured and became even more motivated to study environmental sciences at university.

This is a particularly striking example of using extracurricular activities to showcase a student’s wider passion for the degree subject they want to study. 

Not only does this Personal Statement have a story about volunteering to save an endangered species, it also illustrates this applicants’ wider worldview, and helps to explain their motivation for wanting to study Environmental Science. 

Concluding the UCAS Personal Statement

The conclusion to a UCAS Personal Statement will have to be concise, and will need to tie all of a student’s academic and extracurricular achievements. After all, a compelling story will need a great ending. 

Remember that students need to be mindful of the character limit of a Personal Statement, so a conclusion need only be the length of a small paragraph, or even a couple of sentences. 

“ After having many varied experiences, I truly think I can contribute to university in a positive way, and would love to study in England where I believe I would gain more skills and education doing a first degree than in any other country.  “

A good Personal Statement conclusion will end with an affirmation of how the student thinks they can contribute to university life, and why they believe the institution in question should accept them. Because the student in this example has a such a rich and varied international background, they also discuss the appeal of studying at university in England. 

It’s worth taking a quick look at a few other examples of how other students have chosen to conclude their Personal Statement. 

Medicine (Imperial College, London) 

Interest in Medicine aside, other enthusiasms of mine include languages, philosophy, and mythology. It is curiously fitting that in ancient Greek lore, healing was but one of the many arts Apollo presided over, alongside archery and music.   I firmly believe that a doctor should explore the world outside the field of  Medicine, and it is with such experiences that I hope to better empathise and connect with the patients I will care for in my medical career. 

You’ll notice that this example very specifically ties the students’ academic and extracurricular activities together, and ties the Personal Statement back to their values and beliefs. 

Economic History with Economics (London School of Economics)

The highlight of my extra-curricular activities has been my visit to Shanghai with the Lord Mayor’s trade delegation in September 2012. I was selected to give a speech at this world trade conference due to my interest in economic and social history. […] I particularly enjoyed the seminar format, and look forward to experiencing more of this at university. My keen interest and desire to further my knowledge of history and economics, I believe, would make the course ideal for me.

By contrast, this conclusion ties a memorable experience back to the specifics of how the student will be taught at the London School of Economics – specifically, the appeal of learning in seminar format! 

There’s no magic formula for concluding a Personal Statement. But you’ll see that what all of these examples have in common is that they tie a student’s personal and academic experiences together – and tell a university something about their aspirations for the future.

Know the audience

It can be easy for students to forget that the person reading a personal statement is invariably an expert in their field. This is why an ability to convey passion and think critically about their chosen subject is essential for a personal statement to stand out. Admissions tutors will also look for students who can structure their writing (more on this below). 

Students should be themselves

Remember that many students are competing for places on a university degree against fierce competition. And don’t forget that UCAS has the means to spot plagiarism. Major businesses thrive on power, often at the expense of the environment. The MSc in Environmental Policy and Management would equip me with the tools and knowledge necessary to bring about change and prove that financial power can go hand in hand with the respect of the environment. News relating to rising temperatures and the devastating impact our actions have on the planet arise every week. More specifically, the situation in the Arctic and its increasing number of endangered species such as the polar bear or the beluga whale, as well as the decreasing albedo deeply concern me. Thus, I am highly motivated to understand the roots and impacts of climate change by studying this topic at university.

As a student in translation and interpreting, I have been introduced to a broad range of disciplines. I was especially zealous for the Science course I attended in the second grade. Science has always been a deep interest of mine and understanding how the anthropogenic carbon cycle generates pollution was intriguing. Besides, knowing that we live surrounded by electromagnetic radiation and photon energy that are part of the global warming process is astonishing and undoubtedly captures my attention. Moreover, the Geographic Economy and the International Relations courses introduced me to the ever-changing and often unjust socioeconomic dynamics around the world, as well as the policies that dictate them. The Environmental Policy and Management MSc would give me an excellent opportunity to learn more about international environmental policies, thus equipping me with a holistic framework to commence a career in Environmental Management.

Eager to learn more about climate change, I have independently pursued an online class ‘Climate Change: The Science’ offered by the University of British Columbia and delivered by PhD Professor Sara Harris. This course has deepened my understanding of the principles of climate science, energy system dynamics, greenhouse gases and more. In addition, the passion of Hope Jahren, plant biologist at the University of Oslo, for plants in her book ‘Lab Girl’ or that of Tristan Gooley for water in ‘How to Read Water’ are both mesmerizing, not only through their dedication to their respective fields but also due to the nature-based science itself. On the other hand, my appeal for the conservation of the environment also takes its roots in animal welfare and the human impact on it. Therefore, I actively volunteer at the Blue Cross in Brussels where animals are given a second chance at life, after being abandoned or abused by men. This mission gives me a sense of purpose and responsibility in defending something that cannot defend itself, exactly like nature.

As an enthusiastic traveller, nature has been at the core of my every destination choice. At the age of 19, I decided to take a gap year in New Zealand, where I worked until I was able to afford a car which I slept in and used to travel across the wonderful country. New Zealand was special to me because of its various landscapes, from the Whakaari volcano to the Franz Josef Glacier, and the link I developed with the environment there. While studying for my bachelor’s degree, I had the chance to win a company sponsorship, aimed at organizing a trip in the Norwegian fjords with the purpose of promoting not only the brand but also the beauty of these northern environments. Being sponsored helped me to develop a sense of responsibility and commitment to the company involved. Finally, the most recent experience abroad I have had was in Petrozavodsk, Russia, as part of my university’s Erasmus program. During this stay, I decided to write a translation paper on environmental issues in Russia. The situation at Lake Baikal, the world’s deepest lake, particularly caught my attention, as it is extremely polluted and so, I bought a train ticket to see the lake myself. As Russian environmental issues are numerous, my desire to enrol in environmental oriented studies only grew more.

Given -------- University’s outstanding academic reputation and its strong association with the intergovernmental and national policy makers, I am convinced that the MSc in Environmental Policy and Management would enable me to develop a career with a tangible environmental impact. This degree’s focus on climate change research and hands-on consulting will help me gain practical experience. I believe that this program will allow me to achieve my aspiration to work in Corporate Social Responsibility or as an Environmental, Social and Governance consultant. I am thrilled to start this new journey in another country and plan to make the most out of every learning opportunity.

I am aware of a Native American proverb which perfectly summarises my passion for studying Environmental Geography: "We do not inherit the earth from our ancestors, we borrow it from our children".

The idea of preserving this wonderful world for future generations inspires and motivates me to learn as much as I can about the earth. Knowledge of the natural world is the only way we can have a flourishing ecosystem of life on the earth which people will enjoy for generations to come. This notion is the catalyst and inspiration behind wanting to study Environmental Geography.

Growing up, I often asked myself; how do our actions impact the planet? These were the initial thoughts that drew me to physical sciences and a deep desire to increase my understanding of the world.

I recently read 'Whole Earth Discipline' by Stewart Brand; a book I found intriguing and inspiring. Having previously studied politics and sociology I found his views on environmental carrying capacity in relation to social and political policy particularly poignant.

Having visited the Middle East, Asia, Europe and North America and witnessed firsthand the tremendous progress being made in sustainability, it has stimulated and driven me to pursue a career in the environment. The introduction of vertical farming in Singapore and Norway's environmental funding boost of over £1 billion is proof that things are changing for the better.

Studying global geographical diversity at university is an exciting prospect for me.

This beautiful planet is my home which I feel I am compelled to protect. Last year, I partook in a campaign to save greenbelt land which was earmarked for a housing development. I attended meetings, with hundreds of other concerned members of the public, to campaign against the proposed development.

My determination to prevent the destruction of the land meant I immersed myself in heated debates with the developer. I believe the passion from myself and the community was the sole reason for the proposals being rejected. Being enthusiastic and believing in something are traits I find vitally important in myself.

While working for a pet company I was able to fully appreciate the importance of a sustainable world.

Taking a particular interest in the aquatics, I learned even a small pH swing from acid rain can be enough to kill substantial amounts of fish. This knowledge, assembled through practical and theoretical training, built a foundation of information which I am eager and determined to build upon at university.

My teamwork skills and willingness to engage in conversation with my colleagues and the public meant I was able to thrive at my job.

Having studied previously, I also have a background in the social sciences. I believe that social, economical and political aspects overlap greatly with geographical sustainability.

Like the wind, seas and land, the makeup of our social, economic and political structure is forever changing. Working to report deadlines, my time management skills have flourished which is vital to cope well and thrive in the university environment.

During my studies I would love the opportunity to participate in a student exchange to broaden my knowledge. Having researched the degree, taking a year abroad to develop as a person and to improve my career aspirations is something I wouldn't want to miss out on.

My aspiration for the future is to use my degree to develop a higher understanding of the geographical and environmental problems we experience today, and to work with others who share the same zest for improvement as I do with one shared goal; to advance, enhance and promote a sustainable, environmentally friendly world.
