Was expecting more from 10 hours but feels like a regurgitation of popular wisdom and pop psychology
I like the book but the narrator sounds a bit robotic and puts me to sleep when I'm driving and listening. I wish the author actually performed it because of the nature of the text. Also it's less suited to an audio book and more written due to the fact that the 'essays' are more like lists. I like the content and they encourage action but you can get lost in the numbers and what that specific one is about especially in the audio form.
absolute must read/ listened. loved it and I am a big on the topic of personal growth book
A great introduction to therapy for beginners, the book provides practical insights. However, for avid self-help readers, the ideas may feel familiar and less groundbreaking. Ideal for those new to the self-improvement journey.
So many thought provoking ideas on how to live your life fully, honestly and happily
I love the content of the book and the ideas, but the numbering got extremely repetitive and annoying at times. I wish the book was an actual 101 'Essays' and not 101 chapters with 101 bullet points of ideas, even though they were valid. I still would recommend it though to someone new to the field of self development and self understanding.
I want and need to listen to this again and again, to continue to help reset my traumatised mindset from childhood. Abby's soft, gentle and meditative voice has a healing component to it and with the content, it certainly makes it an incredible therapeutic listening experience. If you need to become a better soul, person, mother, sister, friend, colleague and/or friend then this is a must read/listen book for you.
I've listened to this book so many times and never tire of it! A truely beautiful collection of prompts, reminders, considerations and challenges to one's self... prefect for walking/running. If you don't find something in this book that makes you question your life in some way... your most likely dead already! :)
