எனக்கு பிடித்த விளையாட்டு கட்டுரை – My Favourite Sports in Tamil :- சிறுவனாக இருந்து வந்த காலம் தொட்டே எனக்கு பிடித்த விளையாட்டாக கிரிக்கெட் மட்டுமே இருந்து வந்தது. நான் மேல்நிலைப்பள்ளியில் படிப்பை தொடங்கிய காலம் முதலாக எனக்கு பிடித்தமான விளையாட்டாக கால்பந்து இருக்கிறது. உடலை உறுதியாக வைத்துக் கொள்வதற்கும் மனதை திடமாக வைத்துக் கொள்வதற்கும் ஏதாவது ஒரு விளையாட்டை தினசரி விளையாடி வருவது ஒவ்வொரு மனிதனுக்கும் ஆரோக்கியமானது என்று எனது தந்தை கூறுவார். அதனடிப்படையில் கால்பந்து விளையாடுவது மூலமாக அதிக தூரம் என்னால் ஓட முடிகிறது அனைவரும் ஒன்றாக ஒரே நேரத்தில் விளையாடுவதால் மனதிற்கு உற்சாகத்தையும் கொடுக்கிறது இதன் காரணமாகவே கிரிக்கெட்டிலிருந்து எனது மனம்  கால்பந்து  விளையாட்டிற்கு மாறியது.

தற்போதைய காலகட்டத்தில் நகரப் பள்ளிகளில் மாணவர்களுக்கு போதுமான அளவு விளையாட்டு மைதான இடம் இல்லை. ஆனால் எங்கள் பள்ளி கிராமப்புறத்தில் அமைந்திருக்கும் ஒரு நடுநிலைப்பள்ளி ஆகும். எங்கள் பள்ளி 40 ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முன்பாகவே தொடங்கப்பட்ட  பள்ளியாகும். எனவே எங்கள் பள்ளிக்கு போதுமான விளையாட்டு மைதானம் அப்போதே அமைக்கப்பட்டு விட்டது. எங்கள் பள்ளியில் மாணவர்களுக்கு பயன்படும் படியாக கால்பந்து மைதானம் முந்தைய காலம் தொட்டே இருக்கிறது. இந்த பள்ளியில் சேர்ந்த நாள் முதலாக விளையாட்டு ஆசிரியர் என்னை கால்பந்து விளையாட ஊக்குவித்தார்.

 அவரது அறிவுறுத்தலின்படி கால்பந்து விளையாட்டை விளையாட ஆரம்பித்தேன் கால்பந்து விளையாட்டில் ஈடுபாடு அதிகமாக ஏற்பட்டதன் விளைவாக மிக விரைவிலேயே எங்கள் பள்ளியை கால்பந்து விளையாட்டு அணியின் கேப்டனாக என் எண்ணை நியமித்தார் எங்கள் பள்ளி விளையாட்டு ஆசிரியர். எங்கள் பள்ளி ஆண்டு விழா மற்றும் விளையாட்டு விழாக்களில் அனைத்து வகுப்பினருக்கு இடையேயான கால்பந்து போட்டி நடைபெறும் இவ்வகை போட்டிகளில் எங்கள் வகுப்பிற்கு விளையாடும் நான் ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டும் பரிசில் பெற்று வந்திருக்கிறேன்

 இதோடு மட்டுமல்லாது அருகிலுள்ள பள்ளிகளில் இடையே நடக்கும் ஜோனல் விளையாட்டு போட்டிகளில் பங்கு பெற்று இந்த முறை மாவட்ட ரீதியான விளையாட்டு போட்டிகளில் கலந்து கொள்ளும் வாய்ப்பு எனக்கு வழங்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. 

ஏன் இந்த விளையாட்டு உனக்கு அதிகம் பிடிக்கிறது என்று பலர் என்னிடம் கேட்பதுண்டு அதற்கான காரணமாக நான் கூறுவது இந்த விளையாட்டை எப்போது வேண்டுமானாலும் விளையாடலாம் மிகப் பெரிய மைதானம் இருந்தாலும் சரி சிறிய சாலை மைதானம் இருந்தாலும் சரி இந்த விளையாட்டை விளையாடலாம் மிகக் குறைந்த பொருட்செலவில் இந்த விளையாட்டிற்காக ஒரு பந்து மட்டும் வாங்கினால் போதும் அதனைக் கொண்டு வருடம் முழுவதும் பல நபர்கள் இணைந்து உற்சாகமாக விளையாடலாம் மழை காலங்களில் கூட கால்பந்து விளையாடுவதற்கு தடை ஏதுமில்லை போன்ற காரணங்களை நான் கூறுகிறேன்

தமிழகத்தின் முக்கியமான விளையாட்டுக்களில் ஒன்றான கபடியானது குழுவாக விளையாடக்கூடிய ஓர் விளையாட்டு ஆகும். இன்று பல்வேறு கிராமப்புறங்களில் இந்த கபடி விளையாட்டானது அதிகமாக விளையாடப்படுவதனை நாம் காண முடியும்.

கிராமப்புறங்களில் விளையாடப்படக்கூடிய வீர விளையாட்டுகளில் முக்கியமான விளையாட்டான எனக்கு மிகவும் விருப்பமான கபடி விளையாட்டு பற்றி இக்கட்டுரையில் நோக்கலாம்.

கபடி விளையாட்டின் ஆரம்பமானது சுமார் 4000 வருடங்கள் பழமையானதாகும். அதாவது ஜல்லிக்கட்டில் காளைகளை அடக்க செய்யப்படும் பயிற்சிதான் பிற்பட்ட காலங்களில் இந்த கபடி விளையாட்டாக உருவெடுத்து இந்தியா மற்றும் தெற்காசிய நாடுகள் முழுவதும் பரவியது.

கை-பிடி என்ற வார்த்தையே கபடி என மருவியதோடு, கபாடி, சடுகுடு, பலிஞ்சடுகுடு என்று பல்வேறு பெயர்களாலும் இந்த விளையாட்டு அழைக்கப்படுவதனையும் காணலாம்.

தமிழ் மண்ணில் தமிழர்களால் உருவாக்கப்பட்ட இந்த வீர விளையாட்டானது இன்று உலக நாடுகளில் பரவலாக விளையாடப்படுவது தமிழர்களுக்கு பெருமையானதொன்றாகும்.

பொதுவாகவே கபடி விளையாட்டு என்பதே இரு குழுகளுக்கு இடையில் இடம்பெறும் ஒரு குழு விளையாட்டாகும்.

இதன்படி ஒரு குழுவில் 12 உறுப்பினர்கள் காணப்படுவர். அதில் ஏழு பேர் களமிறங்கி விளையாடிக் கூடியவர்களாகவும் மீதி ஐந்து பேர் களத்தில் விளையாடக்கூடிய வீரர்களுக்கு காயம் அல்லது உடல் நலமின்மை ஏற்பட்டால் களம் இறங்கக் கூடியவர்களாகவும் காணப்படுவர்.

ஒரு குழுவினர் களம் இறங்கியதும் அதில் உள்ள ஒருவர் கபடி, கபடி என பாடிக்கொண்டே எதிராணியின் கோட்டுக்குள் வந்து ஒருவரை அல்லது பலரையோ பலரையோ தொட்டுவிட்டு எல்லை கோட்டை நோக்கி வெளியேற வேண்டும்.

தமிழர் பழங்குடியினரால் உருவாக்கப்பட்டு காலாகாலமாக தமிழ் மக்களினால் விளையாடப்படும் ஓர் விளையாட்டே கபடி ஆகும். இன்று இந்த விளையாட்டு உலக அளவில் விளையாடப்படுவதனால் அது தமிழர்களுக்கும் தமிழ் மண்ணுக்கும் சிறப்பை தரக்கூடிய ஓர் விளையாட்டாகும்.

2004 ஆம் ஆண்டில் இருந்து கபடிக்கான உலகக்கோப்பை உருவாக்கப்பட்டமையானது இந்த விளையாட்டின் சிறப்பை எடுத்துக்காட்டுகின்றது.

மேலும் தமிழர்களின் வீரத்தையும், ஆற்றலையும் பறைசாற்றுவதாகவும் இந்த கபடி காணப்படுகின்றமையானது இதன் சிறப்பே ஆகும்.

உலகில் விளையாட படக்கூடிய எல்லா விளையாட்டுக்களுமே ஏதோ ஒரு வகையில் பல்வேறு பயன்களை மக்களுக்கு வழங்குவதாகவே காணப்படுகின்றன. இந்த வகையில் கபடி விளையாட்டின் மூலமும் மனிதர்கள் பல்வேறு பயன்களை பெற்றுக் கொள்கின்றனர்.

அதன்படி சிறந்த உடற்பயிற்சி, வீரம் மற்றும் விவேகத்தினைப் பெற்றுக்கொள்ளுதல், உடல் உறுதியை பெற்றுக் கொள்ளுதல், மன வலிமையை பெற முடிதல், உடல் ஆரோக்கியத்தை பெற்றுக் கொள்ள முடிதல் மற்றும் கபடி விளையாட்டு பயிற்சியின் மூலமாக திடகாத்திரமான உடல் கட்டமைப்பையும் பெற்றுக் கொள்ள முடியும்.

அத்தோடு வெற்றி தோல்வி என்பவற்றை சகஜமாக எடுக்கும் தன்மையும் இந்த விளையாட்டின் மூலம் ஒருவருக்கு கிடைக்கும் பயன் என குறிப்பிடலாம்.

கபடியின் தாயகமாக இந்தியா காணப்படுகின்றமையினால் இன்று இங்கு சிறுவர்கள் மற்றும் இளைஞர்கள் என தனித்தனியான அணிகளாக கபடி விளையாட்டுகளில் ஈடுபடுவதனைக் காண முடியும்.

அதன் அடிப்படையில் எனக்குப் பிடித்த கபடி விளையாட்டுகளில் பல ஆண்டுகளாக நம் நாடு உலக சாம்பியன் பட்டம் பெறுகின்றமையானது நமக்கும் பெருமையான ஒரு விடயமாகும்.

ஆகவே தமிழர்களாகிய நாம் அனைவரும் நமது பாரம்பரிய விளையாட்டான கபடி பற்றி அறிந்து கொள்வதோடு நமது சந்ததியினருக்கும் அது பற்றிய தெளிவினை கொடுக்க வேண்டும்.
